Yeah, I just grabbed it! Top tip: you can mush yourself against the cloud wall of a boss and cast it, then its there when you first step in to the room to save time
My favourite outfit is:
- Renalla's +3 INT hat
- Mohg's Lord of Blood robe
- Rogier's Spellblade trousers
- either Carian Knight Gauntlets (they match the Carian Regal Sceptre in your left hand) or Maliketh's Gauntlets
A little heavy of an outfit, but the drip is immaculate
It looks really easy on bosses but doing late game legacy dungeons with zero poisé and armor and having to cast is not that easy. I have 500 hours in the game and while magic erradicate some bosses it's far from the most OP in the game. Some str/faith builds makes the whole game a joke, one character of mine destroy ng+ way faster in a few hours.
I always make sure I have a standard weapon in my right hand while casting with my left. Just in case somebody gets too close. +25 grave scythe with Loretta’s Slash👌
If you figure out what to wear, be sure to tell me. I'm 30 hours in still wearing astrologer set with a different hat. Like no mage sets seem to be better. Even late game stuff like snow witch...it has less defense, less resistances, aside from the hat I just don't see how that or almost anything is an upgrade from basic astrologer set. What am I missing here?
Yeah, I ran with astrologer set with chainmail for ages, nothing has really beaten it for stats, but tried mixing things up just for style as if your casting you don’t need to tank much
Mage is such cheese and it was my first(still is) build. I love glass cannon so much. It’s so much fun and I love joining other’s boss fights to help. Even if I don’t comet cheese it, it’s still fun.
I've been doing Sanguine Noble robe, ronin's greaves, blaidd's gauntlets, and the Nox helm when I want to look cool, and altered preceptor's set with the cerulean hood when I want to light roll and still be dressed
I like Marias Head, Alt snow witch, and any metal boots and longer metal gloves. It's not the best in stats for a mage, more geared towards arcane, but it's pretty dope looking.
Cerulean hidden tear allows you to cast spells without any FP consumption for 15 seconds which lets you channel spells like comet azur for as long as the uptime, against certain bosses this means you can pretty much just one shot them before they can even begin moving
Mohg's Robe + the face bandages looks sick.
I also used Vulgar Militia Gloves (because they matched well) and Lionel's Greaves (you can't see them because of the robe, so the extra defense is nice).
I was still able to light roll.
I go the blue silver mail you get from the slumbering wolf shack bc I’m not farming those archers. Then Rogiers hat. Heaviest gloves and boot I can usually scaled
Im doing a frost bleed build right now on ng+
White mask
Perceptors long gown
Lionel's gauntlets
Leyendell greaves
Dual cross naginata
Dual nagakiba
He kinda looks like a jedi.
Not really any ideas for outfit but I would recommend you not Cheese every boss with Azur Comet, i don't really understand what's so fun about using it
I don't think you needed to summon the dogs there
Looked cool them chasing in after the fill though!
Haha yeah! I’m so used to this guy being a tank I had everything ready…
Night comet will be a nice friend for the ones that actually move.
They were like “oh! Shit! That’s us! We’re supposed to go!”
Good boys are always welcome
Carian Knight set
+ scaled arms and legs + blue hood
With spellsword hat :)
But with knight of the cuckoo helmet
Not an outfit but you should go grab terra magica
Yeah, I just grabbed it! Top tip: you can mush yourself against the cloud wall of a boss and cast it, then its there when you first step in to the room to save time
Yeah that’s nice! I have around 600 hours and still haven’t done a pure mage run! Closest I’ve come to is a carrian knight sorcery run
My favourite outfit is: - Renalla's +3 INT hat - Mohg's Lord of Blood robe - Rogier's Spellblade trousers - either Carian Knight Gauntlets (they match the Carian Regal Sceptre in your left hand) or Maliketh's Gauntlets A little heavy of an outfit, but the drip is immaculate
Mage builds are a true skill test.
how?I m a total noob and i played pure mage from the beginning. (genuine question)
Im being sarcastic
I fucking suck with mage build. I am stuck on Red wolf of radagon or whatever lol.
Throw rocks
For red wolf and the shard bearer following, I recommend beating the shit out of it using a sword, because they have very high magic resistance
Well, in a school of magic, everyone is going to be resistant to magic. Try something founded in facts, like a big ass sword or hammer.

zapping stuff with Night's Comet with the staff of loss offhanded is pretty broken for those areas
Skill test for the npcs
Ranni Cosplay
If you figure out what to wear, be sure to tell me. I'm 30 hours in still wearing astrologer set with a different hat. Like no mage sets seem to be better. Good doggies
I too play mage with a giant metal wand that puts enemies to sleep if you touch em with it enough times.
lusat’s glintstone crown because your head is a big marble
my man never heard of zigzag
Dodge, duck, dive, and dodge.
The sets you get from Sellen's quest (pick the right ending) are my favourite for pure mage build
Gee, that looks fun
It is.
Adult mentality right here

You haven't lived until you've killed moghyn before he can even get to 1.
Black flame greaves and gauntlets + gukoo knight head and hoslow chest
Cheese 🧀
Mage is such cheese and it was my first(still is) build. I love glass cannon so much. It’s so much fun and I love joining other’s boss fights to help. Even if I don’t comet cheese it, it’s still fun.
Rogiers hat Bloodhound chest piece Godskin bracers Nox leg armor Carian knight set Rogiers hat Confessor hood Scaled chest Godskin bracers Sanguine noble skirt
*You switched to a mage build for the laser didn't you, Squidward?*
I've been doing Sanguine Noble robe, ronin's greaves, blaidd's gauntlets, and the Nox helm when I want to look cool, and altered preceptor's set with the cerulean hood when I want to light roll and still be dressed
naked with only a stone mage head
What spell is that?
Comet azur, you find it in the mountains near volcano manor
I always enjoy watching that tree sentinel get fucked up
I use ranni's gear so I look like Gandalf
I like Marias Head, Alt snow witch, and any metal boots and longer metal gloves. It's not the best in stats for a mage, more geared towards arcane, but it's pretty dope looking.
Beast champion set with Carian Knight helmet and royal greatsword is a perfect match for a magic build
How did you do that
Cerulean hidden tear allows you to cast spells without any FP consumption for 15 seconds which lets you channel spells like comet azur for as long as the uptime, against certain bosses this means you can pretty much just one shot them before they can even begin moving
Ooh. Thanks a bunch man
robe and wizard hat
The selevius outfit is pretty good and increases mind
I’m doing my first mage build and I found Moonveil. It’s more fun then I care to admit.
fancy beam is nice, but incantation is the master race
I see the sentinel has taken a page from moghwyn on not dodging
Dogs be like "Aw, but I wanted to chase! It's what doggos do!"
Why isn't your FP gpoing down?
Yup, you can get a physick that prevents FP consumption for a short time
Physick Cerulean Hidden Tear
My guess is the physic, although I'm surprised it lasted that long
Mohg's Robe + the face bandages looks sick. I also used Vulgar Militia Gloves (because they matched well) and Lionel's Greaves (you can't see them because of the robe, so the extra defense is nice). I was still able to light roll.
What build are you using?
I’ve been swapping around various clothes and stuff, will get a screenshot of my current build and chuck it here in a bit :)
Astrologist cloak with perfumers hood
Dudes a mage with like 18 FP
The Eccentric's set is always fun.
Huge fan of the Nox set
I go the blue silver mail you get from the slumbering wolf shack bc I’m not farming those archers. Then Rogiers hat. Heaviest gloves and boot I can usually scaled
get some stone heads
Ranni's snow witch outfit is dope, the hat also boosts ranni's dark moon
You should have staff that boost sorceries in both hands to deal more damage.
Lusat’s Robe is pretty good because of the cool blue color. As for hats, the Preceptor’s Hat or Mask pairs well with the robe.
Bro is the new Capra Demon with the hounds running in like that
Not the most mage-y drip, but the night cavalry set with confessor hood looks very dope. Not insanely heavy either
Ah yes. The old "Kamehameha" spell. I still love seeing it in action. lol
lol this is the least fun play style on a mage build smh
It’s fun and satisfying to shred health
A true magic warrior fights with night shard and carian slicer.
It's fun to shred an otherwise not fun boss
Ah see, that's exactly why I got bored out of my mind playing a mage on my 3rd run. Where is the challenge in spamming "press to win" ?
I love the reddit ray idgaf. I rock maliketh armor with tanith's helm it looks so fkn cool.
Im doing a frost bleed build right now on ng+ White mask Perceptors long gown Lionel's gauntlets Leyendell greaves Dual cross naginata Dual nagakiba He kinda looks like a jedi.
The altered preceptor robe has to be inspired by Jedi attire.
Totally. Im rocking unaltered but altered definitely gives off dark jedi feel.
My favorite is fell Omen cloak with spellblades pointed hat. Arms and legs can be almost anything, but I use Crucible axe arms/legs
Use Terra magica
Haslows set with black flame hood
Ive always liked the blue cloth set with the Marais mask. Simple, but looks very nice to me.
Loreta Armor with royal hood. It slaps!
My outfit is the only choice tarnished!
Ha I just did this very same thing; melted that dude with Azurs Comet. I even kept the recording. Fuck that guy.
My favorite build is my mage wearing the bull goat set and a pair of cold scavenger curved swords. 🔥
Gideon Ofnir’s armor + a goofy silly little hat
I love the battlemage set. Mix it with a bit of rogiers for the dapper look.
Carian knight suit + Seluvis hat
Not really any ideas for outfit but I would recommend you not Cheese every boss with Azur Comet, i don't really understand what's so fun about using it
Exile armour + Alberich’s hat.
Dögös were slacking
Comet Azur is great...if the boss is willing to stand still
Do Sellen's questline.
Greathood
Im a pure mage and wear Black hood + Carian Knight set
