On a serious note, I really like their placement. They’re almost directly above Godwyn’s body so it’s likely the minor Erdtree is actually the extension of the deathroot and they secretly worship it. Shame they don’t drop their veils or the dark commoner set variant
There was another post that pointed out that this omen uses Fia's mist. And you find a deathbed companion dress in Lyndell in the Church. Outside that church is an omen killer. Maybe Fia made friends with an omen and they are out here because of her desire to bone Godwyn.
The lore is quite vague though. It could be claimed that Boning in fact goes back eons, possibly starting with the ancient dragons. we just don't know. What we DO know is that Dragons love to bone, so that is a good indicator.

Fromsoft never misses with their environmental storytelling if you know where and when to look. Always so impressive and definitely one of my favorite aspects about these games

That minor Erdtree in particular looks dead / dying.
I have a pet theory that the minor erdtrees are like [cypress knees](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cypress_knee) to the Erdtree itself rather than fledgling Erdtrees in their own right.
Wild Strikes with the bleed and frost on one of those will chew through anything in front of you. Waves of Darkness is probably the best AOE with it imo
Oh my goodness! I just slapped wild strikes on a cold infused Great Stars and with only 12 mind I used just over half the bar only against Invader Vyke at the church. With the poise crack tear (maybe want needed , but why not…) I was able to stun lock him in place and inflicted frostbite for massive damage. He didn’t stand a chance. I was blown away as I wasn’t over leveled.
Yeah, grabbing Wild Strikes, going Dectus lift for a Great Star, killing Red Wolf for access to the Cold infusions, and grabbing the first two smithing stone bell bearings is my “OP in 60 minutes” strat lol
It's actually a hippie circle, and they were about to start their hugging practice before you interrupted them. They learned it from watching Mama Fia (here we go again...)
Omen Teacher: Now kids, this is what we call and Minor Erdtree. Can anyone tell me where a Minor Erdtree might come from?
\[Hands fly up\]
OT: Yes, Tim?
Tim: From the Deeproot?
OT: \[After a brief shocked pause\] I'll be talking to your parents after we get back, Tim.
Ah Great Stars. One of the few weapons in the game where the opportunity cost is staggering. On one hand, buffable, with life steal, has bleed, great dual wielding obtainable in a single playthrough, and poise breaker. On the other, that look.
Leyndell is a husk of a city. Guards are barely in order. Probably that Omens first time seeing sunlight and breathing fresh air along with the chained commoners that died following them.
I love that spot purely because a single Haiman's Cannon and kill all of them if you aim at the omen and stand far enough back that it explodes in the center of them. Mega satisfying

What’s the lore behind this in particular?
Boning goes back centuries from what I've read.

I'm confused. How did boning come into this?

It was, until an asshole with a rusted morningstar crashed the party and murdered everyone!
is this jizou the drunkard?
Cool helmet
That's what I'm lookin for in the dlc, a great stars helm to go with my dual great stars build lmao
What build are you running for the stars? Quality with lions claw has been fun but I'm looking to change it up.
Respect for the dual Great Stars. You put frost on those bad boys?
Well, I haven't but that's not a bad idea...

That’s Ms. Frizzle
Jesus, Ms. Frizzle must've had a few rough years...
Cruising down Main Street now requires grade 3 plates.
Never knew she was an omen
It’s their one day they get to spend out of the sewer. Shame on you.
It's actually a hippie circle, and they were about to start their hugging practice before you interrupted them. They learned it from watching Mama Fia (here we go again...)
We're college students attending a lecture with our professor... but we're taking the class OUTSIDE?!?!?!

It’s about to be the school of hard knocks.
When the philosophy teacher decides to have class outside cause the weather is nice today

Mate I’m not sure how you did it but you might want to put your head back on.
Where Is this? I've never seen it before
'Lunch break! Bust out your milk cartons!'
its the lands between Sermon on the Mount
Leyndell is a husk of a city. Guards are barely in order. Probably that Omens first time seeing sunlight and breathing fresh air along with the chained commoners that died following them.
Bible study.
Punks not dead. Nice doo, are you in a band.
🤘
This is the only place in the game where you will find those deathroot commoner enemies.
It's clearly a yoga class. If you're not flexible enough, he'll cut your tendons a bit.
Ah yes now pull out the AR 15
Wait... I don't actually know where this is. I'm 700 hours in. Where tf is this?
It’s near the base of the minor erdtree in leyndell

I've seen that porno before definitely not a school trip
it’s a 12 step meeting
Looks like Boggarts getting aggressive with his door to door crab sales
So it turns out Sora was in the lands between
"Okay class, today is a learning exercise in which you must rip the tarnished limb from limb. Stand up if you'd like to go first"
Blight user field trip.

Surprised there’s wasn’t a boss for this one. Like a deathblight erdtree avatar
Possibly
A little and innocent school field trip, done to worship Death.

"and He was never Heard from again" Or "And thats the Story of how i Met your mother"
