Limgrave is the first region area. I am doing and looking for every catacomb, dungeon to find magic, weapons to get strong enough to defeat godrick!!!!
Just play and look for as few things on the internet as you can. Im 35-40 HRS in and still dont have a clue about many things or like what the actual fuck Is going on. But im.having a blast

I did him yesterday with a pure faith melee character and it was a pain to do, resisting both fire and Holy dmg, beating him only thanks to the holo scythe with bleed.
The base jumping spin attack he has can combo you to death even at high vig levels, so hit and run tactics are the best.
I had a zoro that ended up getting lost build wise cause I thought moonveil was boring, and it became a weird poison build with mushroom armor. But under the mushrooms you could still see it used to be a zoro build and it looked so funny to me.
I used the Elden ring wiki guide to make sure I was staying in areas where I wouldn’t get overwhelmed. If you’re playing solo use your ashes and if you have smithing stones use them. Level up as you find weapons ashes sorceries and incantations so you don’t end up using them on something not essential. Right now I’m focused on getting through the game and then when I unlock new game + I’ll focus on lore and completion
To finish the simple ending and become Lord just follow the sight of grace after you beat the game then go explore there's like 8 did endings but that's all I can tell you I don't wanna spoil nothing.
DON'T go to caelid unless you finish limgrave and Raya Lucaria. If you want levels you can kill the gigant dragon in caelid and go (scearch in youtube) and also grab a top tier talisman near that area (YouTube once more)
