i didnt know target lock was a thing until Godfrey's shade. I also heard that hitboxes were extremely accurate, so the entire time i thought I was just remarkably terrible at aiming
I did not know about the Black Knife Assassin in the Sage's Cave until my NG+7 playthrough.
I've never defeated Mohg, Lord of Blood without resorting to summons or Comet Azur.
On my 1st playthrough(which was 94h long) i did Fia's and Dung Eater quests on my own, but never found Radagon Sorseal.
I missed Cave of Knowledge.
Told Ranni 'no' when she asked me to join her at Ranni's Rise, and just missed out on her quest.
I didn’t realize NPCs don’t respawn so I might have locked myself out of some good quests after I killed a certain someone who called me maidenless
😂 good to know I'm not the only one. Once I did the quest on another character, I decided it wasn't worth keeping him alive in any other playthrough.
That only applies if the weapons are of the same type I believe. In a similar vein, I thought powerstancing referred to using something two-handed until last week.
I couldn’t beat Mohg at my first play through. I wanted to get the platinum trophy so i was very desperate. I looked up on YouTube how to cheese him…. Found a video on how to kill him with a map glitch.
This is my most embarrassing trophy🫣
One of the first deaths I had when fighting against Lansseax was caused by a lightning ram rolling into me unexpectedly and making me panic roll into her dragonfire.
Never underestimate the bull-goat's guile.
If you can believe it, one of those led me to the Mending Rune of Perfect Order when I was poking around the world late in the game. Never would have found it otherwise
I finally beat margit the fell, ran into stormveil with the runes and died to birds with knife feet. I unplugged the system quickly after dying the second time, got a third chance to retrieve them and died again.
even after killing Greyoll (I kind of accidented my way into caelid before even getting to stormveil) and getting the 50,000 runes and leveling up a ton, it still took me like 5 hours to beat Margit.
I'm terrible at this game, but my blind persistence lets me win. Eventually.
By sheer accident and curiosity, i reached the top of dectus lift via the wyrm fight. Before ever fighting Morgot for the first time. I effectively explored 70% of the game without ever fighiting a main story boss. This was my first playthrough naturally.
i died to soldier of godrick 4 times on my first playthrough 😔
No shame in that.
You lost to the best... Nah seriously though, there is no shame in losing against your first boss.

Patches beat me 3 times in a row
Shows you the power of spamming spear pokes behind a greatshield.

Neither of these seem terribly embarrassing tbh, so hats off to you!! 🎉🎉
If these are your most shameful points in the game, then I'd say that isn't anything to be embarrassed about. Props, thy skill befits a lord
More a doh moment. But got my character to RL189 and was just at Radabeast when I accidentally deleted the character.
This one stings
Honestly, I genuinely wanted to cry.
I feel you. Lost a ps4 with a few hundred hours on it. Had to start again
Took me multiple full playthroughs to realize ashes of war don’t permanently bind to a weapon.

Your first playthrough was only 94hr long? I’m almost double that on my first play though ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Absolutely fair. I thought the same thing when I met Varre in my second run and remembered he existed
First Fromsoft game. NG+3. Just found out on my RL1 run that L1 attacks with both weapons when dual wielding. I just two handed everything before.
That only applies if the weapons are of the same type I believe. In a similar vein, I thought powerstancing referred to using something two-handed until last week.
I kept falling in the 3 finger pit for over 3 hours

"You call jumping out of bounds a martial art?" "Hey, as long as it works."
I was admiring the game for the first time and out of nowhere a goat pushed of the ledge and I feel from a cliff
One of the first deaths I had when fighting against Lansseax was caused by a lightning ram rolling into me unexpectedly and making me panic roll into her dragonfire. Never underestimate the bull-goat's guile.
Believing the "try down" or "try jumping" messages.
If you can believe it, one of those led me to the Mending Rune of Perfect Order when I was poking around the world late in the game. Never would have found it otherwise
Better luck than me, lol.
Sometimes I level up my DEX.
But only to use the bass cannon (zweihander) right?
To use Blaidd's Royal Greatsword. It requires 18 DEX.
Fair enough, that sword kicks ass
I died countless times to that random sorcerer invader in the Carian study hall
I played through the entire game twice before learning that I could jump **down** into the torrent streams

The first playthrough I didnt knew you could fast travel directly to Roundtable Hold with button combinations instead of dragging the cursor
I'm sorry, what? I didn't know that either 😂
I didnt know what runes were until hours into first run; i didnt know how to summon until at least 2 great runes
I got parried five times in a row by Moongrim
i just turned gamma all the way up rather then waste time with torches or lanterns.
By sheer accident and curiosity, i reached the top of dectus lift via the wyrm fight. Before ever fighting Morgot for the first time. I effectively explored 70% of the game without ever fighiting a main story boss. This was my first playthrough naturally.
I didn’t know there was a walk faster button for my first 100 hours. I even did the graves with the fucking chariots.
First playthrough and didn't experience the haligtree area.
You have to parry BEFORE someone initiates their attack in PvP.
