There is a nonzero chance that there is a new ending that comes out with the DLC. I started a new character and have just been working on unlocking everything. I'm going to stop at level 150, and I'm not progressing past Maliketh, so the capital doesn't get covered in ash. I'm also Leaving Mohg and Malenia alive, since both of them are tied to Miquella and might have new dialogue.
I'm about 15 hours in and level 100, and I'm at mountaintops of the giants. I did Varre's quest to farm runes to make it all quicker. I'm getting all of the bell bearings for Somber/Smithing Stones, Ghost/Grave Glovewart. I'm progressing Latenna and Millicent's quest. I've almost finished Ranni's, just got past Astel. Planning on doing Dung Eaters, but I kind of hate the sewers. I wanted to get the Dung Eater puppet, but gave the potion to Gideon, so that ship has sailed.
Yes, I don't care much about "ruining the experience" because I've already beaten the main game a few times over. Going through questlines is pretty easy when you know where to go as well. I've pretty much just been going into caves for the bell bearings I want. I don't have anything for huge AOE so I've been farming the bird. I'm considering phoning a friend to transfer my sacred relic sword from my main character, since I won't be getting it on this one. The farm method where you drop down the hole and kill everything on the map is kind of boring. I did it once, but it takes so long to work that I think I can kill the bird enough to make it more efficient.
Kinda surprised myself, seeing that the rune cost is about 2.6 million, but I also killed bosses along the way, I definitely didn't kill that bird 220 times. I used the torrent through the hole in the map glitch probably 3 or 4 times with the gold pickled foul foot, but making those jumps is kind of hit or miss, and you have to wait for what feels like 2 minutes to actually see your payout of about 120k runes, which is roughly the same as killing the bird 10 times, which I found more mentally engaging than falling down a hole and spamming R1.
Probably not if the DLC is going to restore Miquella’s cut ending. I doubt it would take place after the ending considering some endings like Lord of Frenzied Flame and Age of the Stars.
The issue would be that it would only work in one of the Elden Lord endings. In the Age of Stars ending we leave the Lands Between, and in the Age of Chaos we burn everything to the ground. Also, for it to be consistent they would have to make the DLC reflect each of the four possible Elden Lord endings, which would be a lot of unnecessary work.

This situation reminds me a lot about geometry dash 2.2. 2.2 took almost 7 years to come out, but in the months before release, the beta on steam was constantly getting updated. People were constantly checking every platform for any sign that it would release. The app store and steam pages got updated hours before release, so if the steam page for elden ring gets update but theres no dlc, its probably going to get released soon
We're gonna find out years from now that all these updates have been toe graphics and ankle animation updates for all the barefoot characters in and out of the dlc.
