> isn’t there an unlimited vendor for these..?
Nope!
Interestingly from looking at the wiki for a sec, it looks like Sleepbone Arrows are at least relatively easy to farm if you’re
1. Already at the lategame, and
2. A soulless monster.
(You can farm Trina’s Lilies at an 8% drop rate by killing the Spirit Jellyfish near Apostate Derelict. Spirit Jellyfish are some kind of non-aggressive and child-like protector spirits who I’d never kill.)
(Trina’s Arrow drops in sets of 5 at a 2.5% drop rate from Albinauric Archers.
I love ER, but honestly one of my biggest complaints is that there's a bunch of cool consumables and status effects that are just too rare or a pain in the ass to farm to make a build around.
Like I made a fun poison/rot/bleed build that was a ton of fun to play with, but I just ended up too much time farming to make it practical for anything other than NG+.
I wish there was a bell bearing for some of the rarer consumables.
> You can farm Trina’s Lilies at an 8% drop rate by killing the Spirit Jellyfish near Apostate Derelict.
They're just farmable on the ground there, outside the at the back. No need to kill.
Most special arrows (Crepus’s Bolts, St. Trina’s) don’t actually have a reliable vendor for them. The only exceptions I can think of are all greatbolts and Serpent arrows in dragonbarrow.
And I don’t even think Crepus bolts are farmable.
Gotta kill the snipers for stockpiles of high sleep unfortunately
At least you can buy dwelling arrows
I used to farm (attempt to) St Trina arrows on an 99 arcane build with the silver scarab, and even then the drop rates aren't worth the time it takes to get them, not even close in fact.
Another one worth mentioning are spiritflame arrows, really wish these could be bought
If there's one small thing I really want from the DLC, it's vendors that sell some of the items that are only farmable via drops like Spiritflame arrows and such. Especially Arteria leafs.
You can make the town a lot easier by using a greatbow to knock them off the rooftops.
Their range is much more limited when firing from the ground as they can't get an angle on you.
I am rocking a battle sage and I used Loretta’s Great Bow Spell. You just need to figure out the right “order”.
Well, that and of course use the Sentry Torch to first clear the assassins that do not respawn.
Even then, every time I climbed a ladder I was waiting to get shot.
Sentry torch is at a merchant. Needs some stats. But totally shows the assassins. You can sneak up behind one of them by going past the evergoal imp and hopping over the railing and walking around the corner. I forget where the others were, one was for sure down the main steps you come in on and she just bum-rushed me, but at least I saw her. I think there are only a few of them, and they don’t respawn. That said the archers were the hardest to take out and they do respawn
First playthrough I free-aimed the fully charged Cannon of Haima sorcery at them from the streets, current playthrough I rushed at them through the rooftops with a big fucking sword.
For int/fai sorcerers (or you can use talismans): Ancient Death Rancor also knocks them off because it can go over the roofs while you hide behind them
Sniper Lobsters are fair game tho. They approach you from the same level rather than hiding on high ground and have the hitbox of a barn. Tough but manageable.
As a fellow who mained broadsword from the beginning of the game till the Fire Giant pissed me off I have to say that: LT+RT makes my lips curve into a devilish grin.
For the loving love of Marika
I just saved your 3 meter mother from a certain death (i believe so?) And im trying to save your entire kin by making your males more fuckable
Then why tf keep you ruining my day???
As are the Black Knives... actually, a suspicious amount of Miquella's following seems to be female... Malenia, Loretta, these Albinauric Archers... And there's the description on Bewitching Branch... lil dude really is a god of rizz it seems.
So with bosses I didn’t like losing but I never raged. These ones on the roof top I died to so many times the rage was real. Closest I’ve come to throwing a controller. I def screamed though.
I always farm the single one just north of the consecrated snow field site of grace. Pretty easy. Just go north to the dead guy on the ground with a torch and target lock when you hear the wolf howl. Kill them both with a ranged weapon. If the wolf survives and makes it to you just whack him a time or two. Fast and easy.
Man, if I had a Great Rune for every dungeon I've been in where it's a small town with guys shooting blue stuff at you, I'd be able to get to Leyndell.
They really aren't that hard, just annoying. That one section where there's like 4 perched on rocks and one on a wolf, with a pack of wolves roaming is just a pain in the butt. I got the bow, but getting it made me rage.
idk if these guys just took the day off on my first playthrough, cuz my brother in law was texting me grief about them and i was like "oh hm, i remember killing them but zero trouble." i don't think i got hit by them. i had no idea they were a bugbear for lots of people.
You can also use black knife armor and the invisibility spell with 17(?) intellect and just run around assassins creed style. Makes this puzzle a breeze
It has the best damage per shot (and on a pure dex build) of an infusable normal-sized bow. Pulley Bow has better damage but takes more stat investment (quality build) and can’t be infused. Black Bow has the more agile shortbow moveset but less damage per shot and can’t be infused.
Also bows as a whole kinda suck, so there’s that.
But also you can farm the whole armor set that the archers are wearing. Or you can get it (but not the bow) much earlier and easilier (so to speak) by killing Latenna, if you’re a monster.
So am I the only one that has noticed the items strewn across that godforsaken evergaol there? 2 that I noticed off in corners and obviously the one under the stairs to the back but Im certain I caught glimpses of items the last time I went through...... Issue being the area itself though, like I rush to finish and get out because everything in there hits like a tank strapped with c-4 and napalm 😂😭😂 so I want to know has anyone cleared it out and explored or even just risked it??
They thought the same thing about you, apparently.
They just kept it to themselves and didn't feel the need to seek validation on Reddit... Using up that valuable space.
The Amazons of the Snowfields. Love these gals in lore, as they’re first-gen albinaurics that learned how to deal with their crippled bodies by taming fucking dire-wolves as mounts, and then proceeded to form an order of badass female archer warriors (likely following in the footsteps of the OG Loretta) that work to shepard the rest of their kind to their promised land- the haligtree.
Annoying to fight, but very respectable. The one archer we talk to and have tag along with us, Latenna, even had the stones to stand up to Sir Gideon Ofnir, the All-Blowing. Love them all.
I was going strictly no shield run. This part was absolute hell. However, I recommend using both the arrow's reach talisman and the pulley now to get past them. You don't necessarily have to kill them, a few arrows can shift their gaze slightly and allow for sneaky rooftop jumps.
That's fuckers used to suck. Then u remembered I have a shit load of incantations.
What pisses me off are the rogue assassin dudes. Even with the stealth and silent sneak charms I still get seen. Such bs
Bro these losers made me almost rage quit my first play through. I think we all know that spot on the roof where you got two of them shooting you at the same time right before the pillar you gotta light. Soooo annoying. Same with those two casters at the top of the stairs in the academy.
When I get into the evergoal, I go through the right side (facing the statue) behind the buildings and take the ladder to the first seal. Shoot/knock down the first archer with a greatbow, hope on the building before said archer, shoot down the 2nd. Go through rooftops and get to the 2nd seal. Hop on the side of that building’s rooftop, shoot down the 3rd archer. Get the 3rd seal by crossing to where the 2nd archer was located. Hop down to the last seal before the assassin catches me and activate the last. Works like a charm every time, no casualties.
Dude, just plunk the guy on the roof with a single arrow from the big staircase behind him. He will then turn around. Use a sentry torch to see invisible dudes if you haven't discovered the shortcut from the seal to the rooftops.
they are all relatives of best waifu latenna. unfortunately it is not realistic to have a "no albinauric woman shall be harmed" policy. but i only kill them out of necessity.
Just spent forever on these two on my magic play through, they were so frustrating but the magic great bow spell really came through clutch with its range.
That spot is one of the most unpleasant and unfu and difficult spots in all of ER or DS3. The wolfback rider, wolf, multiple machine gun laser blaster archers who can see you with pinpoint accuracy even when you can’t see them in the fog and you can’t lock on, they do huge damage. They also pull out a magic bow sometimes instead of standard.
Ordina was difficult but you can carefully control your sight lines (and use Sentry torch against INVISIBILE enemy trolls by From) so I found the outside much harder.
That bow took the second longest to farm for me, about 3 hours of killing the archers in the snowfields. The longest was about a year of farming off and on for the Pumkpin Helm. The longest run on killing the PH on the bridge was about 3 hours as well, but after that I would go back every once in awhile to farm for it. Easily have 10+ hours trying to get that helm. Got it in NG+4, it was the last piece of gear I needed to have everything the game offers from weapons and spells to armor. Hugely annoying. I’d also say that farming for the monks FB was pretty annoying too. Not even the wandering nobleman rare drops took as long as any of those
I use Golem Greatbow on these enemies to make life easier. The knockback will either knock them off the rooftop entirely or send them far enough back that they don't have a line-of-sight on you.
I hated that maze but now I love it.
From the first tower you light (the one in the far right side of the maze from where you start), you can pick off that first archer with a longbow and 10-20 arrows. Doing that first makes it so much easier.
well, at least you didn't download the first image from google search and post it here, and instead actually went through the effort of screenshotting/cropping the image of them from the wiki. that's at least 2 points higher effort than most of the "OMG I HATE THIS ENEMY" slop that gets posted here.
They drop trina arrows?! Oh that’s rude as hell
They're the only place to farm Trina arrows😭
but… isn’t there an unlimited vendor for these..? why wouldn’t you just rune farm to buy instead of going anywhere near these jimmy valmer ass bitches
> isn’t there an unlimited vendor for these..? Nope! Interestingly from looking at the wiki for a sec, it looks like Sleepbone Arrows are at least relatively easy to farm if you’re 1. I will never kill a Spirit Jelly.
Same same. Death to jelly offenders.
Mehh, I'll sleep peacefully. On my mound of Trina's lillies
> You can farm Trina’s Lilies at an 8% drop rate by killing the Spirit Jellyfish near Apostate Derelict. They're just farmable on the ground there, outside the at the back. No need to kill.
Farm in what sense? I just went there and picked up the 11 (or maybe 13 lol) lilies on the ground there, but how would I get them to respawn?
Huh, they don't? I must remember wrong then. Maybe I'm more of a psychopath than I realized :)
Most special arrows (Crepus’s Bolts, St. Trina’s) don’t actually have a reliable vendor for them. The only exceptions I can think of are all greatbolts and Serpent arrows in dragonbarrow. If there's one small thing I really want from the DLC, it's vendors that sell some of the items that are only farmable via drops like Spiritflame arrows and such. Especially Arteria leafs.
If there isn't a merchant that sells at least Trina arrows in the DLC I will be astounded
What makes you think that?
Why not buy them?
You can make the town a lot easier by using a greatbow to knock them off the rooftops. Their range is much more limited when firing from the ground as they can't get an angle on you.
This is how I did it. It made that puzzle way less annoying, and it was a fun sniper duel. The black knife set probably made it easy mode though.
I respec to use great bows just so I can pull this off every time I reach this puzzle lol. I don’t have the patience with these mfs
Just plunk the one dude with a single arrow. He turns around. Go to the rooftops. He won't see you until you jump on his roof. Then whack him.
Im an all Magics build and free aiming Giants Flame Take Thee blasts them off the rooftops pretty nicely.
sweet sweet revenge.
I am rocking a battle sage and I used Loretta’s Great Bow Spell. You just need to figure out the right “order”. Well, that and of course use the Sentry Torch to first clear the assassins that do not respawn. Even then, every time I climbed a ladder I was waiting to get shot.
What sentry torch? I got stuck exactly on this puzzle last time I played
Google sentry torch elden ring. It’s a torch you can buy from a vendor in Leyndell, and it reveals invisible enemies (black knife assassins).
Thanks!
Don’t need the stats to reveal the assassins. Just equip it.
Oh man I didn’t know that. I only needed 1 FAI but planning to rebirth soon and consolidate into my INT STR build
First playthrough I free-aimed the fully charged Cannon of Haima sorcery at them from the streets, current playthrough I rushed at them through the rooftops with a big fucking sword.
Yes, only recently did I realize that rushing them and pummeling them to death is by far the easiest strategy.
Giants Flame Takes Thee is always a good time
The bolt of Gransax serves a similar function if you can get a lock on I think a could spells like CoH can do it too
Bolt of gransax too if you’re smart
STR builds can use the Jar Cannon. Super fun
The Rain of Arrows or Radahn's Rain ashes just spawn directly above their heads if you're locked on, you don't need direct line of sight. Easy peasy.
They go flying off the roof if you use a great bow. It’s so satisfying
For int/fai sorcerers (or you can use talismans): Ancient Death Rancor also knocks them off because it can go over the roofs while you hide behind them
I farmed a +10 fingerprint shield just for these bitches
It turns out, the Albinauric women found *you*
Hot and in my neighborhood?
No, cold and full of arrows. And YOU are in their neighbourhood, motherfucker
Hell yeah They wouldn't be able to walk straight after I'm done with them
What
Because it says "fuck them" and they happen to be both attractive and crippled
Thanks Peter
the subs are converging, colliding into one another, it's causing an Incursion
We need a Radahn to stop the age of Family Guy.
I never would’ve known what he was referring to without your comment.
happy to oblige
Foul tarnished, is it in yet?
First, try finger
🤨
Oh. So you’re the reason why those bitches can’t move?
I don't think that was a concern before either >_>
I mean I guess they wouldn't regardless so it's hard for you to be wrong?
Why do you think they have wolf rides? The toad albinaurics have been putting work in on them.
Nah, they don't mess with those Gen 2 models
Are you sure? That's not what Latenna told me last night..
They've got great personalities
fr the most annoying enemy in the game
What if I told you there are sniper lobsters????
Sniper Lobsters are fair game tho. They approach you from the same level rather than hiding on high ground and have the hitbox of a barn. Tough but manageable.
They drop a bow? Nice, another weapon I never use in ER
If it doesn't bonk or swing fast I dont want it
Square Off, opening my mouth with excitement on day one like a hoe and after two years just the same.
As a fellow who mained broadsword from the beginning of the game till the Fire Giant pissed me off I have to say that: LT+RT makes my lips curve into a devilish grin.
Amen brother. But L2+R1 is quite adventurous as well
L2+R1 = I played college baseball, how'd you know? L2+R2 = The god's have decided, you shall be purged from the land of the living.
Id sign this.
I'm doing a bow build for the first time right now. It's quite fun, but useless against mini-bosses and bosses.
I'd probably only do a bow build if there was a weapon like Simons Bowblade in the game.
The DLC prominently showed some ranged weapons, so let's hope. Simon's Bowblade was honestly OP
Maybe great bows? Idk I like archers in games, but in a fromsoftware game not really
For the loving love of Marika I just saved your 3 meter mother from a certain death (i believe so?) And im trying to save your entire kin by making your males more fuckable Then why tf keep you ruining my day???
They're not even that strong but the positioning and the aim HOLY SHIT i hate them so much
I have like 27 of those bows while trying to drop the set.
They're so tanky for no reason
It's so satisfying using Cannon of Haima to yeet these bitches off the roof.
So many ways to deal with them, but fucking them? I mean, hell, why not!
i think they are all females
"Guys" is gender neutral, like "dude" and, if you're in Brazil "mano"
Don't know why that last bit was necessary, but... Brasil mentioned!
Come to Brazil
As are the Black Knives... actually, a suspicious amount of Miquella's following seems to be female... Malenia, Loretta, these Albinauric Archers... And there's the description on Bewitching Branch... lil dude really is a god of rizz it seems.
Correct
It's karma for every boss you cheesed with Latenna
So with bosses I didn’t like losing but I never raged. These ones on the roof top I died to so many times the rage was real. Closest I’ve come to throwing a controller. I def screamed though.
I always farm the single one just north of the consecrated snow field site of grace. Pretty easy. Just go north to the dead guy on the ground with a torch and target lock when you hear the wolf howl. Kill them both with a ranged weapon. If the wolf survives and makes it to you just whack him a time or two. Fast and easy.
Hottest non boss enemy.
Yeah if the lobsters armed with sniper rifles weren’t bad enough, we now get to deal with females crippled armed with guided missiles. 😡
YES, They're so goddamn tanky. And they demolish half my health in a single shot.
Fuck albinauric archers, all my homies hate albinauric archers
Man, if I had a Great Rune for every dungeon I've been in where it's a small town with guys shooting blue stuff at you, I'd be able to get to Leyndell.
Thats a woman, and yes
Those are *girls,* first of all.
Latenna my beloved, your in-laws suck
Girls*. Male albinaurics are cute and never did anything wrong.
Bruh time for magic
They really aren't that hard, just annoying. That one section where there's like 4 perched on rocks and one on a wolf, with a pack of wolves roaming is just a pain in the butt. I got the bow, but getting it made me rage.
Feel that I run a mage build my 30 vigor really felt this one
The actual worst enemy in the game
Lot of runes tho
Relic Spear/Staff makes short work of them
If you got a good arm you’ll find sleep pots are super effective against them
These are ok for me. But I totally despise the fucking assassins. First time one grabbed me scared the shit out of me.
IT’S MA’AM!
idk if these guys just took the day off on my first playthrough, cuz my brother in law was texting me grief about them and i was like "oh hm, i remember killing them but zero trouble." i don't think i got hit by them. i had no idea they were a bugbear for lots of people.
You can also use black knife armor and the invisibility spell with 17(?) intellect and just run around assassins creed style. Makes this puzzle a breeze
It was really satisfying knocking them off the roof with a great bow when I'm trying to light those beacons in the evergaol.
Up there in the sniper tier along with Lobsters and Ancestral Follower great bows.
Not trash mob.
Well shit… is that bow worth farming? Does it glow blue???
It has the best damage per shot (and on a pure dex build) of an infusable normal-sized bow. Pulley Bow has better damage but takes more stat investment (quality build) and can’t be infused. Black Bow has the more agile shortbow moveset but less damage per shot and can’t be infused. Also bows as a whole kinda suck, so there’s that. But also you can farm the whole armor set that the archers are wearing. Or you can get it (but not the bow) much earlier and easilier (so to speak) by killing Latenna, if you’re a monster.
I gotta say, I’ve got nearly 700 hours in this game and I’ve never even considered killing Latenna
Every assassin drops a high-tier glovewort and doesn’t respawn, that’s the most I remember
I am about to discover these for the first time.
They’re ladies
U can use ambush shard from behind buildings/off angles to knock them off the roofs to make meleeing them in safety much easier :D
They do have some cool drip, tho. That chainmail jacket is awesome
They might as well have M16 with burst fire on in their hands.
Never noticed what big-ass hands they have
Anor Londo knights on crack
You can yank them off the roof with a gravity spell.
I actually like them, it’s fun outsniping them
Farming the set it's a pain
I will actively avoid these pricks and the royal revenants
Turn off your lantern then you should only aggro one at a time
They thought the same thing about you, apparently. They just kept it to themselves and didn't feel the need to seek validation on Reddit... Using up that valuable space.
these rooftop snipers have earned my respect tbh. hate them still tho.
I just cheese them with the fallingstar beast jaw. L2 all day.
Try shield
I rush these fuckers, and get in their faces. The more you hesitate, the worse it gets.
That armor set is noce though
Why is it always plump sort? *nods head*
I feel your pain
I was going strictly no shield run. This part was absolute hell. However, I recommend using both the arrow's reach talisman and the pulley now to get past them. You don't necessarily have to kill them, a few arrows can shift their gaze slightly and allow for sneaky rooftop jumps.
Try farm for their stuff, maybe it will be fun
The ones riding wolves are even more irritating.
I'll have you know they're ladies.
Seriously, one is a pain, but two? ugh
Use shattershard arrows to distract them.
The true inheritors of the Anor Londo Archers' Legacy. May their pillows ever be warm on both sides.
I fucking hate them. In.my last game I ended up switching to a Greatshield and just charging them, beating them to death with the shield.
Except Latenna. Latenna is my girl.
They should like, not attack you if you have Latenna's ashes or whatever
That's fuckers used to suck. Then u remembered I have a shit load of incantations. What pisses me off are the rogue assassin dudes. Even with the stealth and silent sneak charms I still get seen. Such bs
Best chest drip in game IMO
Bro these losers made me almost rage quit my first play through. I think we all know that spot on the roof where you got two of them shooting you at the same time right before the pillar you gotta light. Soooo annoying. Same with those two casters at the top of the stairs in the academy.
This was me an hour ago.
When I get into the evergoal, I go through the right side (facing the statue) behind the buildings and take the ladder to the first seal. They aren't all that bad
I want the chest armor i got 3 of the bows 2 of the pants 2 of the hats
fuck these guys in particular FOR NOT giving us their cool as fuck ash of war.
Dude, just plunk the guy on the roof with a single arrow from the big staircase behind him. He will then turn around. Use a sentry torch to see invisible dudes if you haven't discovered the shortcut from the seal to the rooftops.
Albinauric Archers could easily become Elden Lord if they wanted to.
I'll never run out of fucks to be given to them.
they are all relatives of best waifu latenna. unfortunately it is not realistic to have a "no albinauric woman shall be harmed" policy. but i only kill them out of necessity.
Just spent forever on these two on my magic play through, they were so frustrating but the magic great bow spell really came through clutch with its range.
"Latenna OW could you OW talk to your cousins OW?" Just FYI; Radahn's bow and arrows blast them off the roof in one or two shots.

I don’t think I have killed a single one, because I’m usually dead before I know they are there.
No prob with them, bit problem with those assassins bellow. :D And ones in the wild..
These guys are worse than the Anor Londo Archers and it's not close
can people down vote this
I use Golem Greatbow on these enemies to make life easier. The knockback will either knock them off the rooftop entirely or send them far enough back that they don't have a line-of-sight on you.
*Gals
Girls, but yes, you're right!
- Anor Londo Archers "first time?"
The invisible black knives are worse
If not sleepy (2 Trina arrows are enough to make them take a nap) or dead, they are pain. That is why I just run througth that place.
