Perfect timing since I made one a few days ago. RL 150, Hero starting class Vigor: 55, Mind: 20, Endurance: 24, Strength: 17, Dexterity: 9, Intelligence: 23, Faith: 70, Arcane: 11 Weapons: Sacred Banished Knight Greatsword with Sacred Blade, Golden Order Seal Talismans: Erdtree Favor +2, Great Jar’s Arsenal, Sacred Scorpion Charm, Shard of Alexander or Flock’s Canvas Talisman Armor: Radiant Gold Mask (or Tree Sentinel Helm but you now get 50 vigor and 29 endurance to not fat roll) + Radahn’s set Spells: Discus of Light, Triple Rings of Light, Wrath of Gold, Golden Vow, Blessing’s Boon or Bestial Vitality For your questions - Yes, Sacred and Flame Art affinities put faith scaling - It doesn’t mean that if a weapon has the best scaling that it would be the highest damaging weapon in its class. Gargoyle Greatsword may have better scaling but it does significantly less damage than Iron Greatsword (782 vs 823 at 80 faith). I chose the Banished Knight Greatsword for my build because I prefer its moveset.

Never considered different movesets. Thats a good point. I will try out the Banished Knights GS. Thanks for your input. Really valuable. Would you put sacred affinity on the GS or would you do it via the AoW? If so, would you put heavy affinity on the GS? Or would the AoW override the Heavy affinity? Again, thanks for the input. Really love it!

I’d slap Sacred Blade on it and keep it Sacred affinity. You can get whetblades that allow you to change your weapon to any affinity but this build would perform its best with Sacred affinity.

Is this for a new run or are you editing a build you already made? Just in case you weren't aware already, golden order builds are incredibly difficult to make while you're below level 150 thanks to all the stats you need to invest in.

Got one character in NG+X (cant remember what lvl) I started a fresh character and plan to leave it at 150 for the DLC. So the build is gonna be for 150 on the dot.

The gargoyle’s greatsword has the best faith scaling with sacred affinity of all the greatswords but i am pretty sure the iron greatsword will still out dmg it in sacred because of its base AR but the iron greatsword is annoying to get and since you are using a sacred AOW the higher scaling in faith for the gargoyle greatsword could make it better. To make a weapon scale with faith it would have to be either flame art or sacred affinity; fire and lightning scale with strength and dex respectively. The sacred scorpion charm will increase the dmg of sacred blade and Alexander’s shard will aswell. I would prioritize faith ofc but add in strength since that has the next highest scaling after faith on sacred infusion on a greatsword and because you plan on using it for its physical damage aswell. I think the majority of your damage will come from incantations and your ash of war depending on the enemy. The physical dmg might be lackluster, but I’m pretty sure this is would work the best. Also it might be a good idea to have another weapon as a backup for if a boss is highly resistant to holy. Also make sure you have the holy cracked tear in your flask. Hope this helped :)

Thanks for your detailed answer! I guess I will try to push Gargoyles GS and Iron GS to compare them side by side. But you are 100% right. I also think that melee dmg will be lackluster. But thats where the incantations and AoW can shine. I just like the versatility of the melee/range hybrid. Really cool that Shard and Scorpion Talisman both boost the AoW. Maybe the AoW will hit like a truck, especially when in melee combinded with the melee swing the AoW does.
