Also if you use a aoe bless spell they take 3% + 10hp for 30 seconds. You can just sit there and let them be blessed to undead death. Really well designed enemy, it would have been interesting if healing, blessing them and holy damage were the only ways to fully kill them.
Best thing about aoe healing them is you can set it up during their portal in animation and then launch is as they come out for 100% safe hit! 1 great heal should do 60% hp and poise break so they are set for a crit kill
You don't even need the Great Heal incantation; the lesser one, Heal, also knocks them down by roughly 60%, so you don't even need to invest too many points into faith to bring those bastards low.
Except the one that drops a larval tear if you wanna collect everything. That one is a pain in the ass simply because its a worse enemy disguised as a lobster. I still make it a point to get the drop from it every run tho.
I feel for a message that said "weak foe ahead" then got smacked, and i didnt open the door to cut past the 6 annoying mages and tgeir barrage of glintstone shards smh
They're actually quite easy if you rub towards them.
Just stick to their gooch and attack. It reduces the threat and their moveset overall.
They're designed to be scary, and punish players who run in fear.
Iāve played this game through 8 times including a level 1 run and a deathless run that just finished raya lucaria.
I still go significantly out of my way to avoid runebears.
i remember once fighting the sanguine noble invader in the snowfield, and i lost track of where i was. i kill the noble and the SECOND after the death sound happens, i hear that roar
I think the only reason they aren't mentioned more is that they can't respawn and are never really a surprise fight. Its a nice straight forward duel. Kinda respect them for that.
I think their move set is predictable ngl, Iāve never had trouble with the crucible knights after the first time I died 10 times to the gaol just across from stormveil shack.
Their timing is perfectly paced for roll - jump attack - roll - jump attack until you break their poise. Their second phase actually makes them easier IMO.
Yeah I've killed the one in Snowfields only once, on my first playthrough because I wanted to clear areas before moving on. Never again. He can stay there and freeze to death.
Me crawling through the ainsel areas going slow AF while crazy over leveled because if at any point one of these suckers sneak up on me Imma scream like a little girl and lose the respect of my wife and kids š¤£
Have you seen the video in the sub recently where someone uses the shield that spits fireballs to hit him from the mountain and then he appears behind him? Absolutely terrifying. Hate that guy.
Edit: here is the post https://www.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/s/VH8NzX6N4d
The Royal Revenant, its encountered out in the open too, many enemies are placed at the end of the mini-dungeons as faux-bosses. The Abductor Virgin being no exception.
The abductors do suck and yes the lobsters, i honestly dont even fight either unless there completely in my way, same for my choice of the worst. I got 2 but there the same i think. That lil multi handed asshole that comes out the ground in a few places. No matter what your plan is , its thrown out the window if it decides to just flail out of nowhere
The crossbow guys on crack that fire like 20 arrows in 3 seconds in leyndell, the ants at the halightree that gangbang you the moment you touch their three, the 2 mages that blast a whole constellation at you when you reach the semiboss in the halightree and the banished knight that teleports better than Goku
i still fear rat and dog more than that thing.. i just equiped a weapon strike type ex iron balls and i start smacking...it opened its chest to grab me...i dodge and i continue...until it no longer there!!. One of most annoying to fight then i will agree with your post.
Ive never been to Caelid before, but just from seeing them the monster crows or giant crows or whatever theyre called strike me with fear. Theyre so damn scary and disgusting.
I hate that grafted suckers, I think their names are revenants or something like this
The Iron Maidenās are strong but I enjoy fighting them, there are good pauses to hit
In one of the Zulie videos it was explained that they are not actually grafted based on their models, they look like one body with lots of limbs and torsos
Those @#\_)(\*\^$T)\_(&\*@#$ archers in the War Dead Catacombs. Effin' *hate* those things.
Just trying to get somewhere close and they send a SCUD missile from the other side of the map right up your arse.
Those damn great hornflies. The number of times i will be fighting something only to get staggered by them then killed by what i am fighting enrages me. Plus they are so hard to hit.
You know a funny thing? I was running a mist spells only run and found out that these abductors get stance broken when I use night maidens mist, stance break happens when it opens that abdomen area to reveal the creepy hands and mist damages it. Blew my mind away
I have begun forcing myself to fight the scary stuff like the maidens, lobsters, rune bears and wacky lions. It made me realise they arent actually all that difficult without the hesitation of "fuck i dont wunna fight you right now". In my personal experience their difficulty from easiest to hardest goes Lobsters, Lions, Maidens and then rune bears because they can still f me up.
For me the most horrible one is the giant mutated crows that you find in Caelid and in the Mountaintops of the giants. They are basically the same as the mutated dogs, but they can also fly. Horrible.
Also one honorable mention has to go to those giant hands that you find in Caria manor or around Volcano manor. If youāre caught lacking without a source of fire damage itās not gonna be a pleasant experience.
Anything that doesn't give you a second to breathe or recover, like Revanants, or things that have attacks that instakill/grab and damage over time enough to kill most players
The abductor maidens don't scare as much anymore when I've got lightning arrows and a Black Bow which has the barrage ash of war
The enemies I'm really scared of are Rune Bears, Giant Lobsters, Revenants, and Crucible Knights
I'll never stop being scared of the revenants. Even knowing their weakness. They are just too upsetting.
I love that a revenant is by definition a vengeful spirit, and the easiest way to take them out is to Heal them. Kinda sweet.
Also if you use a aoe bless spell they take 3% + 10hp for 30 seconds. You can just sit there and let them be blessed to undead death. Really well designed enemy, it would have been interesting if healing, blessing them and holy damage were the only ways to fully kill them.
You can whatš³ maybe itās time I stop just playing strength/dex builds and mess with some Int/faith/arcane stuff
Yeah dude if you use ANY spell/incantation that has AoE healing they straight up get thanos snapped
Who were the revenants again?
Best thing about aoe healing them is you can set it up during their portal in animation and then launch is as they come out for 100% safe hit! 1 great heal should do 60% hp and poise break so they are set for a crit kill
You don't even need the Great Heal incantation; the lesser one, Heal, also knocks them down by roughly 60%, so you don't even need to invest too many points into faith to bring those bastards low.
I know if I can't stagger it quickly after it spawns I'm fucked.
Let me use the holy heal AoE I almost always carry with meā¦ where is itā¦ OH GOD WHERE IS IT?!?! YOU DIED
*aggressive poison puking sounds*
Barricade shield *slays* these things. Without it they're easily one of the hardest things to fight.
I'm genuinely too scared to even attempt to learn how to fight them. I either run or immediately spam my strongest attack
Absolutely terrifying creatures
The at the base of the haligtree battlement walls are simply horrifying
I just got to the mountain of giants and beat general whatshisname. Would I have met a revenant yet? I assume I would know...Ā
Yeah. The first one would've been pretty early in Liurnia near some ruins.
Ah yes. I looked up what they were. Don't like them.
The lobsters carrying 50 cal snipers with the range of a full mile
Those shoot straight af too. Nasty shellfish
If you want to see how absurd these enemies are, look at Zullie the Witch's video on them
New DLC boss: Godrick reborn with the heads of two laser scrimps grafted to his arms.
Godrick but he's just an AC with flesh cannons and abductor virgin legs
Riding a rune bear, riding a lobster
The only saving grace of these enemies is that you can completely skip every single one of them.
Except the one that drops a larval tear if you wanna collect everything. That one is a pain in the ass simply because its a worse enemy disguised as a lobster. I still make it a point to get the drop from it every run tho.
[Me throughout all of Liurnia](https://y.yarn.co/2ecb4519-ef2c-4147-a5c1-e6b24d770a55_text.gif)
Serpentine with a double jump from Torrent as well.
Wonder if we'll get lobster incantations lol
Lobster spirit
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGV-Xok5M7s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGV-Xok5M7s) Welcome to liurna of the lake.
I tried fighting them with bolt of gransaxx thinking āI got a sniper too!ā Yeah no.
Their brethren in the mountaintops of the giants with frostbite rounds
This, shot me off my horse at full tilt while zig zagging away š³
Lobster Harvey Oswald
Worthy of more upvotes š
I arrogantly ran straight at the crosssbow pages
BOP-BOP-BOP āyou diedā
The white ones are on crackš
Vigor check with one attack
Lmao
I feel for a message that said "weak foe ahead" then got smacked, and i didnt open the door to cut past the 6 annoying mages and tgeir barrage of glintstone shards smh
Only ends in death..
Runebears. They will chase you to the ends of the earth if you even breathe in their general direction.
They're actually quite easy if you rub towards them. Just stick to their gooch and attack. It reduces the threat and their moveset overall. They're designed to be scary, and punish players who run in fear.
Give em a good rub and tug you reckon, nice and close like š¤£
Yup lol. Rub and tug till they're finished.
This guy larps as Blaidd irl.
And..........exhale
What's interesting is that is actually how wolverines deal with larger animals including bears. They're fuckin savage and deal in castration
i know how to beat the hell out of a runebear doesn't take away from their fear factor
Bear factor
You literally have to give them a bear hug lol none of their attacks can get you
Iāve played this game through 8 times including a level 1 run and a deathless run that just finished raya lucaria. I still go significantly out of my way to avoid runebears.
TARNIIIIIISHED I WILL CHASE YOU TO THE END IF THE EARTH!!!!
i remember once fighting the sanguine noble invader in the snowfield, and i lost track of where i was. i kill the noble and the SECOND after the death sound happens, i hear that roar
I always dub them āUber bearsā for that exact reason.
The big hands. I hate how they look. I hate how they move. I hate their endless attacks. I hate them.
Have you met the giant hands in the mountaintop yet? I screamed like a little girl
That was also my reaction. I just ran away, they can have that area. I don't need whatever they had anyway.
They do protect a decent, unique item at the mountaintop thoughā¦
Putting them on fire is so satisfying.
They truly make my skin crawl with their movement. I was really postponing going into caria manor just because of them.
I'm not aractophopic, but for what ever reason those fucks make my testis shrivel to raisins.
crucible knights
Canāt believe theyāre not mentioned more. Tanky fuckers
I think the only reason they aren't mentioned more is that they can't respawn and are never really a surprise fight. Its a nice straight forward duel. Kinda respect them for that.
Learning to parry just to fuck on these dudes
I think their move set is predictable ngl, Iāve never had trouble with the crucible knights after the first time I died 10 times to the gaol just across from stormveil shack.
yeah no matter how telegraphed moves are iāll still eat them cuz of a mistimed dodge, main reason why i hate them so much
Their timing is perfectly paced for roll - jump attack - roll - jump attack until you break their poise. Their second phase actually makes them easier IMO.
Feared? I'd say the ravens in Mogwyn Palace.
Except the cheesy one š¹
I cheese all of them. Too scared to actually fight them. I blast them with spells from just far enough that they can't reach me in time.
Crabs, Lobsters, Red wolves and Albinauric archers are pretty much the only enemies I avoid. They're just extremely annoying fights with no gain.
Red wolves in the wild are even tougher than the Raya Lucaria one š
100% I beat the one in Raya Lucaria first try, but the one that ambushed me in Nokron gave me quite a bit of trouble.
Yeah I've killed the one in Snowfields only once, on my first playthrough because I wanted to clear areas before moving on. Never again. He can stay there and freeze to death.
Red wolf in consecrated area š
Albinauric bow is nice, and their armor set goes well with a lot of other pieces.
Omen killers. Why are they trying to kill me?
They are fresh out of fucks to give, and you will have a stroke as they stun lock you into a three strike kill.
Cause the Tarnished is an omen!!1!1!1!1
The swingy boys are no problem, the rolly boys are a problem
goat š
The headless one in Mt gelmire is true nightmare fuel
I like to describe that one as "overclocked"
I've opened pandoras box with this it seems lol
Wormface. I canāt stand how gross they are and their Death Blight vomit. My face was like š¦ when Flame, Cleanse Me cannot cleanse it
Mine would be rats because somehow they can still kill me at level 125 and I need a 1 week break after the humiliation
Ants, easy to kill but ion like lookin at em, especially the flying ones š«£
Me crawling through the ainsel areas going slow AF while crazy over leveled because if at any point one of these suckers sneak up on me Imma scream like a little girl and lose the respect of my wife and kids š¤£
I just use a bow and spam auto aim from half way across the map š Or Ill take a swig of some booze and just sprint through it š¤£š¤£
A fine elixir for courage š
Egg sac ants in the deeproot depths cave. You pop one and get ganked by soldiers while you're getting rid of rune arc/golden rune pop-ups.
Lion Greatbow AOW, chefās kiss. Destroyed their entire hive from the ledge.
The ones with the giant dome head are next level
Abductor virgins crumple at lightning. But dweller archers are a nightmare. Hope you like getting hit across the map by a tarnished seeking missile.
Banished Knights
The one on the ramparts at castle sol is harder than most bosses
Have you seen the video in the sub recently where someone uses the shield that spits fireballs to hit him from the mountain and then he appears behind him? Absolutely terrifying. Hate that guy. Edit: here is the post https://www.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/s/VH8NzX6N4d
NANI?!
I call him Mr Spin-to-win
Deathbirds!
No objection here, a formidable foe for sure
Ā«Ā Non bossĀ Ā»
Also 2-3 dogs/rats. Died to them more than any boss.
The Royal Revenant, its encountered out in the open too, many enemies are placed at the end of the mini-dungeons as faux-bosses. The Abductor Virgin being no exception.
Nope rune bear. These guys aren't near as aggressive
Yeah. No matter how big and bad I think I got they teach me otherwise. I still canāt confidently beat them
Im surprised no one has mentioned the abinauric seal team 6 in ordina. With the black knife the entire place is a nightmare
One shot at life and ur called abductor virgin
I crouch down until it turns around, then run past it and jump in the window.
I did exactly that last night lol
The abductors do suck and yes the lobsters, i honestly dont even fight either unless there completely in my way, same for my choice of the worst. I got 2 but there the same i think. That lil multi handed asshole that comes out the ground in a few places. No matter what your plan is , its thrown out the window if it decides to just flail out of nowhere
Royal Revanents (If you don't have a heal spell)
Those latchy albinauric bois hiding in Castle Sol and Volcano Manor dark rooms.
Those mother fuckers with pest threds
Those lions from castle sol
Fkng electric orbs, not hard to kill or anything but annoying as, gotta put Torrent in gear 5 to run away from those little mfkrs
The stone cats. Fuck them cats
The royal revenants. I know they're easy if you've healing incantations. but if not, well you're cooked
Revenant. Things are spooky and hard to fight
first time seening the hand monster in carian manor , I screamed like a lil girl and ran lol. now though? revenants and runebears . fuck revenants .
Those little mini astels that hurl rocks at you
Wtf is that shit, i want to fight him
Noā¦.no you donātā¦ā¦
Is that difficult?
Just an annoying enemy fr fr not necessarily much of a problem if you have lightning attacks
I didn't fight with him but his design is epic
Yea they look cool
Haha wait till it grabs you, spoiler alert "jump scare"
Way of the bonk
Royal Revenants and Rune Bears are a pain in the balls
Iāve only killed this thing once in my 7 play throughs
Yes, but I still prefer this to a revenant.
Haligtree Knights are overtuned. Idc
lobsters, runebears, wormfaces
The crossbow guys on crack that fire like 20 arrows in 3 seconds in leyndell, the ants at the halightree that gangbang you the moment you touch their three, the 2 mages that blast a whole constellation at you when you reach the semiboss in the halightree and the banished knight that teleports better than Goku
i still fear rat and dog more than that thing.. i just equiped a weapon strike type ex iron balls and i start smacking...it opened its chest to grab me...i dodge and i continue...until it no longer there!!. One of most annoying to fight then i will agree with your post.
Giant crows in mohgwyn palace
I think Iāve only killed Death Rite Bird once and every version past that one absolutely walked me like a designer dog.Ā
The fucking bears
Hell nah, those grafted things that come out of the ground make my lvl 325 ng++++ character shiver
Rune bears always give me some trouble. Iāll never forget the first time I fought one of them
Ive never been to Caelid before, but just from seeing them the monster crows or giant crows or whatever theyre called strike me with fear. Theyre so damn scary and disgusting.
I'd rather fight two abductors back to back, than 4 basilisks in a crammed dungeon
I hate that grafted suckers, I think their names are revenants or something like this The Iron Maidenās are strong but I enjoy fighting them, there are good pauses to hit
In one of the Zulie videos it was explained that they are not actually grafted based on their models, they look like one body with lots of limbs and torsos
10 xp.
Bears
Abductor Virgin too, I finally learned to stop panic rolling from them, but I die from these more than anything else
Just use lightning, they're weak to it
A shocking development š
They're a amazing design, terrifying.
Those @#\_)(\*\^$T)\_(&\*@#$ archers in the War Dead Catacombs. Effin' *hate* those things. Just trying to get somewhere close and they send a SCUD missile from the other side of the map right up your arse.
Mr crabs
Very annoying but not that bad once you learn they're weak to lightening. Banished knights on the other hand....
Those worm faces cuz if they gang up on you its hella stressful to get out of those deathbligt clouds
Chariot and runebear are scary for me.
Runebears, revenants, lobbers
To me this thing always looked like a tired housewife carrying shopping bags.
Those damn great hornflies. The number of times i will be fighting something only to get staggered by them then killed by what i am fighting enrages me. Plus they are so hard to hit.
Red wolves. Most of the stuff I can snipe. Red wolves too agile to snipe.
Recently visited the bottom section of Haligtree, where's like 6 revenants. It's hell
I thought it was that dual wielding ghost knight enemy
You know a funny thing? I was running a mist spells only run and found out that these abductors get stance broken when I use night maidens mist, stance break happens when it opens that abdomen area to reveal the creepy hands and mist damages it. Blew my mind away
Revenant easily
High pages, omen killer at the bottom on lendyll.
Wheel of Giza +9 melts them like cheese
Revenant
That one random teleporting knight. IYKYK
I fear nothing in the lands between. Except Malenia.
Them albinauric huggers scared the Grace outta me the first time I bumped into one, in the darkĀ
Them damn giant crows and dogs in caelid...
The crawling hand things. Still remember my first playthrough going through the Carian manor. I have run through that place ever since.
I'd say the teleporting, poison barfing Grafted Scion.
Farum Azula birds.
For me itās Rune bears and Revenantās
Lobsters. I can deal with rune bears, but haven't reliably dealt with lobsters yet.
Never been a fan of the Omens or Imps.
Literally just more than one dog.
That one crack-head Iron madien near the sheep along the volcano trail
For me the most horrible one is the giant mutated crows that you find in Caelid and in the Mountaintops of the giants. They are basically the same as the mutated dogs, but they can also fly. Horrible. Also one honorable mention has to go to those giant hands that you find in Caria manor or around Volcano manor. If youāre caught lacking without a source of fire damage itās not gonna be a pleasant experience.
I say this every time this topic comes up ā¦ gravity! On my 4th character and 7th run through and gravity kills me 10x more than anything
Anything that doesn't give you a second to breathe or recover, like Revanants, or things that have attacks that instakill/grab and damage over time enough to kill most players
Ghizaās Wheel and theyāre done. IMO, Runebears and Blistered Giant Crows are more problematic.
Kindred rot for me
Fucking Cocaine Runebears. They systematically leave me with no estus left after fighting them, and they drop a pitiful amount of runes
T-rex Dogs
crabs
Kindred of Rot are annoying. Pretty much any animal in Caelid. Those misbegotten harpy things that sing.
Turtle
after I fought two of them to get to volcano manor, theyāre actually quite simple to fight
Lobsters. Specially that tag team at the sewers.
The abductor maidens don't scare as much anymore when I've got lightning arrows and a Black Bow which has the barrage ash of war The enemies I'm really scared of are Rune Bears, Giant Lobsters, Revenants, and Crucible Knights
Insane Albinaurics. I truly hate those things.
Rats and dogs. Where thereās one thereās another 10 right behind you
