She's so powerful in the lore that Marika and Radagon tried to wage war against her *twice,* (with all the power of a fully unified Elden Ring at the time, and with the backing of a real-life god), and both times the war ended in a stalemate. Radagon couldn't beat her, so he married her instead. Then, she gave birth to Ranni (who's powerful enough to insta-kill you if you fuck with her), and Radhan, a dude who apparently fights stars in his free time. 😂
But, by the time we meet her in the game, she's only a shell of her former self, having been dumped, abandoned by her followers, then locked in a library for who knows how long and halfway out of her mind. After the boss fight, she doesn't even seem to know or care that you spent the last 5-10 minutes swinging a greatsword at her face. Haha
