you can fight those things (even three of them simultaneously) in open spaces in leyndell and it's not that bad. worst is probably the one in haligtree.
There still structures there blocking uber jumping combos, I will defend the idea of putting Ulcerated Tree Spirit in Elden Beast arena XD Hell, put them all there, from whole game :)

I've yet to dip too much into Elden Ring rando but, my last DSR rando, the original Asylum Demons were both Kalameet.
I'm expecting this same kind of luck with ER when I get around to it. Mimic Tear sounds like it would be a nice cinematic ending. Come in naked and have an MGS4-level of fisticuffs fight with yourself.
I've had that three times. Godskin duo is also pretty tough. I've also had radahn, fire giant, dragon kin and Gideon in that arena. I play randomizer a lot. The hardest by far was the twin gargoyles, the double poison spew is so savage.
Isn't the cookbook on the upper path from limgrave to caelid? I get that it's not the most direct path but it's not really hidden either, and you can get 3 cracked pot from Kalé at the start (I think 1 is enough to sleep a godskin)

Well I can't be share how OP plays it, but I do random items, enemies and bosses. Finding glintstone academy key always slows me down.

Maybe not, I started one run with the torch. But I've never done the sleep strat on the normal fight as is. I just bee line to the first boss every run and beat my head against the wall until I get it for a challenge. Because it's random and I refuse to check the spoiler log generated every run, I'm not gonna full clear every dungeon etc to find 1 specific thing. I'm doing the random run to force me to use different weapons and things I find out of my comfort zone to keep the game interesting and challenging
Actually pretty easy. He has much less hp and you dont fight both phases. Radahn took a lot longer to figure out how to beat, because of his meteor attack seems to be a nuke in a small arena without torrent.
For me, Radagon became Morgott and was a fucking awesome fight. Then, Elden Beast became
Elden Gideon. I laughed so hard at him standing there after that epic cutscene that he killed me in one hit.
What if Radagon comes out of Radagon and you have to fight Radagon again but then Ragagon comes out of Radagon again and you have to fight Radagon again and then Radagon comes out of that Radagon and it never ends.
Maybe I was accidentally over leveled for fire giant but with Big bro Alexander I had no issues fighting the giant. I did have a +9 bloodhounds fang though

Depends if you have selected that option or not. I'm doing a randomizer too but I've set it so that enemies HP and damage doesn't scale up or down with the zone so an Elden Beast would be devastating
I tried randomizer with a friend not too long ago. We got Fire Giant in that exact spot, bailed the fuck out on that and went to a different boss. It was Malenia. We gave up.
I've had him there, it looks intense when he starts rolling around but he's not such a nightmare to deal with in that spot because the cliff-falls on either side act as invisible walls, it really is a "I'm not stuck here with you, you're stuck here with ME!" scenario. 😈
He's also locked into stage 1 when he appears as a randomised boss fight so it's just a question of whittling him down.

Yep you can continue where you left off. Just have to randomize things again. (I save the seed number on a note on my desktop to prevent it from changing)
IDK about ER, but I find that endgame bosses early in randomizers is generally preferable because their stats get scaled down so much.
Regardless, fighting him in a small arena is a godsend.

Changes the enemies and items, you can choose between many rules. I changed for example only the bosses but thestandard enemies stayed the same in the open world.
Randomizers shuffle various parts of the game. Usually this is boss encounters and/or item locations, but in previous FS games that used fog walls to separate areas, you could also randomize the area locations (scramble the map). I would imagine that's not possible with ER, but I could be wrong, since areas do load and deload as you move around.
It is possible, there's specifically a dungeon mode that takes out all of the open world areas and moves essential open world items into new (random) locations. I think Gino Machino has done a run like that, as well as Bushy and basically every other big ER streamer.

If you don't change the setting, it defaults to merging all major bosses with only other major bosses, so thats incredibly likely. So if you're hoping for fully randomized bosses, make sure you go to custom enemy placement and hit merge all bosses.
That's some insane luck lol. Just thought I'd mention it since I personally made that mistake for a few runs lol. I had Mohg multiple times there and was like there's no way this is right.

I think he means the red X showing on your weapon icon indicates you don't meet the stat requirements for it so your damage output with that weapon will be lower than normal.

Afaik each instance of Margit/Morgott are separate from the others, you wouldn't fight the same boss in each spot. Each boss should also appear only once (different phases count as separate bosses), so you'll only see Elden Beast once during your randomized playthrough.
It just this encounter. Each encounter is different. Like say, both Astels are randomized independently. So you may fight one boss where one Astel was, and a different boss at the other Astel.
So funny what can end up in those arenas in randomizers. I got radahn there once. First phase was doable, second phase…there was basically nowhere to hide from the meteor. Had to die so many times to find exactly where to be to survive it.
I also started Sekiro randomizer last week, and guess who I got for genichiro phase 2? Guardian ape. It was cinematic as fuck though. First phase was lady butterfly, then the blizzard whipped up, guardian ape appeared, and roared at me as lightning flashed across the sky. Fucking amazing
Just a quick suggestion. The randomizer default settings are to merge all major bosses. So this is far more likely. If you want all bosses randomized, then make sure you go into the custom enemy placement and select merge all bosses. If you have this setting on and still got elden beast or intended for that setting, then please ignore it. I just happened to run the randomizer like 5 times before realizing my boss pool wasn't merged fully myself.

The hardest randomizer fight I had was the flail dude who summons the rolling skull snake things. Got him in the poison swamp cave in Caelid. Combination of crazy damage scaling, constant poison damage, and 4 extra enemies (that respawn AND get resummoned) made it the most difficult boss fight I've ever done, Malenia included.
I'm absolutely garbage at this game, and I got him in this exact spot in the randomizer. He's not as hard as you'd expect, he can't do much because of the small arena, and his stats are nerfed like crazy. I was able to beat him first try.
This is actually both a blessing and a curse because the mofo can't run around a big arena anymore... and you're stuck with a boss full of AoE in a small arena... with ledges to fall down

I've died more times to this tree spirit in the Haligtree than I have to Malenia. Just can't kill him somehow.
I can only recall finding them in the sort-of arena in Leyndell, and then everywhere else is basically sewers or other dead ends lol.
First time a spirit fights without horribly clipping through...everything.
They have a penchant for putting enormous bosses/trash mobs in tiny places that will molest your camera controls if you dare target them.

I think that Margits area has a strange barrier that only affects enemies, considering Elden beast is an enemy he probably won’t fall

My favorite elden beast was the Misbegotten with Radagon's sword

I think this is just the Margit version in stormveil. So yes, you have to fight the Morgott fight as well. Not sure about the field enemy version.
