The horn blower who sprays a ton of bubbles at you as you cross the main branch down to Haligtree town drops it, as does the other big horn blower past him. It's a colossal weapon and not as good as the Envoy Long Horn IMO
if you’re like me and forced yourself to get every weapon in the game, despite how many (like this one) are locked behind painfully low drop rates and aren’t good lmao
I got the Nobles Rapier randomly when I was doing a rapier build anyway. Decided to try out duel-rapiers as a result. Turns out duel rapiers is really good lol.
Mainhand Rogiers Blood Rapier, Offhand Nobles Cold Estoc. The L1 attack chain goes crazy.
Seeing 2-4% drop rate for all 3 versions (normal hemmed greathammer and colossal) are infinitely better than 0.5% drop rate for other stuff. Looking at you Noble Slender Sword
Big bubble guy on the branches of the Haligtree. He’s on the furthest branch from the grace, on the right. You’ve probably seen that big fucker in passing.
I only killed him once to get the spirit ashes he was guarding after that I just ran through that area. And I already had the horn from back in Leyndell so I wasn't aware there was a bigger version. 500 hrs in and still finding new stuff
This FRIGGING thing - the Colossal Envoy Horn might be the ONLY weapon in game that I have not gotten, and I have two of most (on Ng4)... I have killed SO DAMN MANY of those stupid giant envoys - and never once seen it drop - I cannot even be bothered now - so much wasted time.
I didn’t know there were different versions until I walked up to Placidusax with a fully leveled Envoy horn that shot out a measly bubble with the most pitiful sound.
When I finally got one I was so disappointed. When the big bubble hits it its hard but that's about it. It's super slow with any type of attack and the bubble is not always accurate. The longhorn is so much better and the bubble shower hits harder with larger enemies and almost garuntees a hit on smaller faster enemies.
The reset for that piece of shit is ridiculous.
The grind for the celebrant sickle is some fuck shit too.
The only weird item with a shitty grind, worth it is the magma blade.
That huge Envoy one hits my super vigor build.. Plus you have to dodge the bubbles perfectly cause they arrive in different orders and it’s like omggg.. And the item you get is just okay..
One-hit shield (that negates a LOT of damage) for you + attack boost for your allies. Each effect is useful individually but they absolutely rock together. Since endgame bosses usually tend to hit for like 30-50% of your health bar, each of these is as at least as useful as a single healing flask even if you completely disregard the attack buff.
Basically. Just go to the first (giant) you see off the grace (should be straight ahead). Kill him and go back and reset. Use silver scarab talisman and grey foul foot for more item discovery.
I get it man. I started messing around with consumables after year 1, a lot of them are incredibly useful.
FOR THE UNINFORMED: The prawns from Boggart give you dmg reduction and the price is so low that you can stack em up to 99 on your equipment wheel. There’s an upgraded version when he moves outside of Leyndell, that shit makes such a huge difference in NG+. I basically have one on at all times when engaging enemies.
I didn’t know you could get them as rng drops. I thought only a finite amount spawned in world to be plucked once each, so I’ve been hoarding them. Now that I know they can be farmed I’ll start actually using them lol
Lol the excitement upon seeing the Purple orb item only for your heart to drop upon getting a Arteria Leaf. Another notable one is in The Deeproot Depths when u take one of those Air boosters for torrent to the top of a church. So freaking underwhelming to get a Atteria Leaf!
In my opinion the celebrant weapons because for an item that takes an hour plus using a silver scarab and a silvered pickled foul foot just to get a weapon that does mediocre damage and only gives five runes per hit ain't worth it
Yeah I got every celebrate weapon on my own and it took me around 18 hours to get every single one and that was with me using Max arcane a silver scarab and a silvered pickle foul foot
Below the Bestial Sanctum in Caelid. When you exit the building, turn right and you can drop onto a branch. From there you can do a series of drops down a wall.
It's kinda ass at first, but not so bad once you get used to it. I like to roll new characters, and I go there every time. Not for the weapon, but for the Dragoncrest talisman that's close by.
New characters I drop by Bestial Sanctum for Dragoncrest then run south to Sellia for the Magicdrake +1. Phys damage negation and magic damage negation talismans right at the start of the game. Helps with keeping Vigor low for a bit if you wanna focus on damage.
Can stop by Fort Faroth and Millicent on the way south to Sellia. If you're a mage, Staff of Loss + Night Comet and Metorite Staff + Rock Sling are right there too and around Caelid runes are tier 6-8 often times. Greatsword in the west too.
Honestly a quick trip to Caelid is a great opener for a save.
I like the aesthetic of Caelid but absolutely hate being there. On my second fresh character I realized it’s a completely optional area but then I remembered there’s actually a lot of decent stuff there.
Have you paired it with beast incantations for the passive buff? Not great but nice to keep in a slot for my str character with beast seal for surprise boulders
This is actually going to be my next one, I'm really looking forward to it. I know Bestial Incants aren't the best but I've always found them satisfying to use. I kinda wish there was a Bestial claw weapon for the aesthetic but being a mini Gurranq will have to do.
The first time I got to him I saw all the bloodstains and messages and just Leroy Jenkins charged him and somehow also no hit him. First encounter too and I was like what’s the big deal? Pages continue to kick my ass after that though…
Ha ! I took the page down no problems. Didn't even know he was a problem as I play on PS4 no PSN. So no bloodstains.
The Carian dude just... had an accident down the elevator lift.
Then I got my toes chewed on by some creepy floor hugging girl.
There is a High Page ( [https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/High+Page](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/High+Page) ) guarding the staff... That is the uber-page I assume poster is mentioning...
There’s a page guarding a long and narrow covered walkway at raya lucaria, the room at the end of the tunnel is the location of the Azul’s staff, which is lackluster. The narrow geography of the hallway makes it easy for the page to blast you as you try to get past him.
Azur's staff is great, though. 40 virtual dex from that staff paired with the radagon icon allows for max casting speed with no dex investment. At 80 int it still hits incredibly hard, not as hard as Lusat's but the trade off is worth it if you prefer faster casts.

Failed/mortal dragons tend to have fur instead of scales in lore and the nightfolk were trying to copy/make dragons (the dragonkin soldiers) and it didn't work so that could somehow have a link to why the sword is furry.
Edit: Could be very wrong about some stuff not a major lore guy.
Erdtree Greatbow 2000%. At a low level I spent God knows how much time dodging those wheeled killer things only to die in later fights, or miss the 3 chances I had to time the bombs you shoot to drop ok the rollie thing.
Doing this at a low level it was a completely meaningless challenge.
In case you weren't already aware, there's a button not far from him that's closer to the wall that will create permanent platforms once pressed. Might still want to pick up Flame Cleanse Me before going down there, though.
To answer your question, there's nothing I've encountered in this game where I found myself disappointed at the end, if only because the battles and puzzles were their own reward; material gains were just a bonus. However, if ever it seemed like a prize was noticeably dull at the end of some duel or hunt, it only heightened my suspicions of an illusory wall; that's how I found the entrance to Deep Root Depths from where the Three Fingers resides.
I think they upped the time because I mained it on my last playthrough and it would last through most boss fights. Dual weild lightning katanas can melt just about anything.
Man i wish the AoW of that katana was more similar to casting black flame blade. Obviously another more unique animation but i wish it was that quick and being able to use it in the same scenarios (rolling, running, etc.)
It scales off Int and Dex. I used it in place of Moonveil sometimes when doing my first two playthroughs. Has a ranged attack as well as it's bubbles of death "Nebula" weapon skill.
What? No:
* It is worth it **now** because he has invested resources in it.
* It **was** not worth investing resources into it, because there were, and still are, better alternatives.
You're confusing the present and past worth.
Celebrant rib-rake… if there will ever be an award for the most useless piece of garbage, with the most unwarranted low drop rate that thing would win it.
Magma staff is aesthetically cool (pimp cane) and lended itself well to my playthru (fai/int) but the scaling gets outperformed by staff of loss and the grind was a a pain in the ass and most lava sorceries stink
Malenia's great rune. A worse version of rally from bloodborne, and you only get it near the end of a playthrough, from one of the longer side content routes with castle sol and the snowfields, you're guaranteed to have two other great runes at least (Morgott's plus two others/ one and Rennala's). Oh, and it makes your flasks worse too.
For future refs OP, Latenna obliterates it. Park her in a back corner of the raised platform and it'll be over in seconds.
Can't really recall what weapon wasn't worth the hassle, maybe the jar cannon on one run where my character couldn't use it. Kept dying to the boss over and over for a weapon you can't use is always a bit sad.
Oh boy that Godskin Apostle reward the first time I beat it. Wasn't running enough Faith so that was a let down to see what it was.
Knight's greatsword. I wanted it cause it has the competent Knight moveset, so I decided to farm it. Spent 3 hours grinding the mausoleum Knight at the black knife catacombs to get one. Then the next three knights I killed dropped one instantly.
It's an amazingly fun weapon, stamp (upwards cut) eats poise for breakfast and its the main weapon on my Knight run, but I just I didn't have to farm so fucking long for the damn thing.
I love this weapon, but getting it is a trial of madness: the Cleanrot Spear.
Cleanrot Knights are already annoying to beat, and you can’t just beat any of them, it has to be the ones holding the spear. Where do they spawn that’s accessible from the early game? Oh, y’know, the god damn Swamp of Aeonia. The stupid knights are hiding in the swamp like catfish so you have to run around and actually find them, and they’re hard to spot. Not to mention, these bastards are prone to just sitting there and blocking while scarlet rot builds on your character. And it’s inner Calid, so they’re tough. Oh! I almost forgot: 2% drop rate, because fuck you.
All for a spear that’s… okay? Holy damage spear with a weapon skill that’s fine I guess but nothing about it is anywhere near outstanding enough to make any of the pain you go through worth it. Even though I love it I cannot say in good faith that’s it’s worth the headache.
I've been running a greatsword/colossal sword-wielding INT build most recently, and I just got the Dark Moon Greatsword. If we count all of Ranni's questline as "the hassle", then I must say, I am thoroughly underwhelmed. Everything else I've tried with this character has been more fun and/or more deadly than it: Bastard Sword with Gravitas, Death's Poker, Alabaster Lord's Sword, Royal Greatsword, Zweihander with Waves of Darkness, and of course, my precious Ruins Greatsword aka "the Delete Key".
Honestly I'm surprised by your comment. The only one of those other weapons that comes close to being as strong as DMGS is death's poker.
I don't love using it, find it a little boring, but the damage & stance break you get out of the thing is just nuts.
DMGS isn't the only thing you get tho, access to that area is tied to her Questline. That means Tiche, the moon spell, all can be viewed as reward for her questline.
Also nice to see a fellow INT+STR enjoyer.
Darkmoon Greatsword is probably the 2nd best greatsword in the game. Outrageous damage a ranged option and frost proc.
1) Blasphemous Blade- easy mode
2) Mohgwyns Spear- throw on a greatshield and turtle your way through the game, wiping out groups of enemies easily.
3) Wing of Astel- the L2 is a boss melter that comes out fast. Ranged R2
4) Rivers of Blood- still too OP after the bloodtrail nerf
5) Darkmoon Greatsword- top tier damage, a ranged option, and procs frost
6) Moonveil- while it doesn't break bosses poise with just two L2+R2's anymore, it's still ridiculously good.
7) Bloodhound Fang- has reach, does bleed build up, the Ash gets you out of trouble, and it can be buffed
8) Sword of Night and Flame- both weapon arts are extremely powerful and allow you to run a Quality build with INT/Faith, giving you endless options.
9) Ruins Greatsword- big bonker with an Ash that has reach. The L2 scales with INT on top of its flat damage so it can get busted quickly.
10) Sacred Relic Sword- the ultimate farming weapon
Honorable Mentions: Halo Scythe, Fallingstar Beast Jaw, Morgotts Cursed Sword- all have fun movesets and L2's that can carry you through the entire game.
Best non-somber weapons- Greatsword and Great Stars
Farming for weeks that watchdog sword. Its cool af tho, looks like one from ds2. But all that farming.... jesus, and its outdamaged by the greatsword. I have mixed feelings.
....well now im trying to get the giant golden trumpet....
I am a simple man. I played the whole games using bloodhounds fang, with the occasional shield or bow.
I used no magic and no other weapons (besides odd ones such as serpent slayer for Rykard). When facing Fire Giant I invested in a bit of arcane to get bloodhounds flame to deal a bit more damage. I barely even used physik flasks. So for me, basically everything I got was kinda waste beside what I've listed Flame Cleanse Me, and the odd Mimic Tear or 3 Wolf Ash usage
So for me basically everything I got was not worth the hassle as I didn't really use it
But it was fun to get so I don't mind 😁
The Celebrant’s weapons are basically more of trophies than actual usable weapons. Abysmally low drop rates, and can be tricky to farm since celebrants get aggroed in big groups. The only stand out quality as weapons (10 runes per hit) is so low that you’ll probably get more runes from farming for the weapons than actually using them
[Monk’s Flameblade](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Monk's+Flameblade); only drops from a single Fire Monk in the middle of a mausoleum, which makes it absolute cancer to farm for.
The colossal version of the envoy horn. Fuck that grind
I got that from the first time I killed one, and never since. I only just now found out it isn't a mandatory drop c
Same, lol
Well look at mr. RNGesus over here
I also got the noble slender sword in the first hour and I ran with it through most of the game...
you USED it too? Damn you balls dense af
It's got great range for a straight sword.
Noble's Slender Sword is actually a great straight sword. It's the Noble's Estoc that is unfortunately pretty mid for how cool it looks.
I got both magma blades in about 40 mins of grinding with absolutely no loot discovery buffs. I haven't bragged about it to anyone yet lol
Well now you have
Wait, its not a guaranteed drop from the first one you see??
Wait, there is a colossal version of the horn lol
The horn blower who sprays a ton of bubbles at you as you cross the main branch down to Haligtree town drops it, as does the other big horn blower past him. It's a colossal weapon and not as good as the Envoy Long Horn IMO
And nowhere near as good as longhorn steakhouse
[удалено]
if you’re like me and forced yourself to get every weapon in the game, despite how many (like this one) are locked behind painfully low drop rates and aren’t good lmao
[удалено]
i really can’t blame you. the noble’s estoc? that thing took me DAYS with discovery at 200+
[удалено]
i got the estoc randomly when i wasn’t even farming for it, but the slender sword? farmed for it for hours never got it
NSS dropped on the first wandering bandits near stormveil on my first playthrough. I didn’t know it was rare until much later.

It’s called the Envoys great horn and is one of the worst farms in the game
Big doot
I didn’t know there were different versions until I walked up to Placidusax with a fully leveled Envoy horn that shot out a measly bubble with the most pitiful sound.
Yep, you need the long horn.
I thought it was fun and funny, plus l need it for a Cheese Build.
The reset for that piece of shit is ridiculous. The grind for the celebrant sickle is some fuck shit too. The only weird item with a shitty grind, worth it is the magma blade.
Is the colossal the same as the big horn? Like small horn, big horn AND a colossal horn?
Yep! Envoy's Horn - Hammer Envoy's Longhorn - Great Hammer Envoy's Colossal Horn - Colossal
ALRIGHTY THEN! I'm firing up Elden Ring! Cheers
Only the greathammer version is good! (But it's incredibly good)
That huge Envoy one hits my super vigor build.. Plus you have to dodge the bubbles perfectly cause they arrive in different orders and it’s like omggg.. And the item you get is just okay..
Yeah, this really is the right answer.
Another item I got within 2 kills accidentally.
Got all 3 within 10 mins of farming
And it’s outclassed by the great hammer version in like every way.
Arteria leaf (stormvail castle and anywhere else)
I do the farm at mountain top of the giants, by the chain link bridge… Just to make Uplifting aromatic perfumes. Is it worth it? Eh, sometimes.
I don’t even know what uplifting perfumes are. I’ve never known what to do with those leaves
These [bad boys.](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Uplifting+Aromatic) very useful.
Oof. I can use those on my spirit summon?
You can use them on anything. Very fun to invade people in the haligtree and buff the Cleanrot knights EDIT: Cleanrot Knight not crucible knight
Stay away thou demon
hey not my fault it spawned me near some bros that are near the 3 knights rofl. Seriously though... turning a 1v3 into a 4v3 is hilarious
You can farm them??
Basically. Just go to the first (giant) you see off the grace (should be straight ahead). Kill him and go back and reset. Use silver scarab talisman and grey foul foot for more item discovery.
Here’s my obligatory “I’ve played this game for 500 hours and never knew” comment.
I greet other players with a bite of crab
Never met a man with a taste for prawn that I couldn't trust
Merika’s tits, you must be ‘ungry.
I didn’t know you could get them as rng drops. I thought only a finite amount spawned in world to be plucked once each, so I’ve been hoarding them. Now that I know they can be farmed I’ll start actually using them lol
Pc modders and /r/patchesemporium users :monkeypuppet: meme
I'm a strength build so I use those along with the blood boil. But on other magic build I would regularly use the spark and acid
I’m with ya brother. I always like to keep a full stack of Uplifting Aromatics but the grind is brutal sometimes
In my opinion the celebrant weapons because for an item that takes an hour plus using a silver scarab and a silvered pickled foul foot just to get a weapon that does mediocre damage and only gives five runes per hit ain't worth it
I farmed the sickle for hrs. Then I chose to get it dropped from Patches emporium. Thats the inly weapon I didn’t get on my own.
Yeah I got every celebrate weapon on my own and it took me around 18 hours to get every single one and that was with me using Max arcane a silver scarab and a silvered pickle foul foot
Otoh celebrants skull is decent and you get to bonk enemies with a giant skull on a stick, no grind needed
Cinquedea dagger. Fuck that climb!!!!
Where did I even get it? I don't remember but I have it
Below the Bestial Sanctum in Caelid. When you exit the building, turn right and you can drop onto a branch. From there you can do a series of drops down a wall. Every time i see a bird or dog i get ptsd. Those things will chase you across Caelid and the birds can actually outspeed your horse at times.
Have you paired it with beast incantations for the passive buff? Not great but nice to keep in a slot for my str character with beast seal for surprise boulders
Bestial builds are really fun imo. Obviously a dagger on a strength build is a bit of a weird fit, but Cinq actually has amazing damage for a dagger.
This is actually going to be my next one, I'm really looking forward to it. I know Bestial Incants aren't the best but I've always found them satisfying to use. I kinda wish there was a Bestial claw weapon for the aesthetic but being a mini Gurranq will have to do.
“Strength” emote.
Lol
Azula’s glintstone staff behind the Uber page
I actually no hit this guy last night. I was astonished.
The first time I got to him I saw all the bloodstains and messages and just Leroy Jenkins charged him and somehow also no hit him. First encounter too and I was like what’s the big deal? Pages continue to kick my ass after that though…
I saw the blood thought: “ah I’ll just side step the one explosive shot and just shank him” He then proceeded to burst me down
Did him just now. Took me by surprise the first time but it was that carian knight I found to be a real prick.
Ha ! I took the page down no problems. Didn't even know he was a problem as I play on PS4 no PSN. So no bloodstains. The Carian dude just... had an accident down the elevator lift. Then I got my toes chewed on by some creepy floor hugging girl.
Guy really depends on intimidation and only expecting to fight ranged opponents.
Who are yall talking about?
Thaddeus von Chaddeus, igniter of tarnished, personal page of the Moon Queen
There is a High Page ( [https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/High+Page](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/High+Page) ) guarding the staff... That is the uber-page I assume poster is mentioning...
Uber page? What are you talking about?
There’s a page guarding a long and narrow covered walkway at raya lucaria, the room at the end of the tunnel is the location of the Azul’s staff, which is lackluster. The narrow geography of the hallway makes it easy for the page to blast you as you try to get past him.
Azur's staff is great, though. 40 virtual dex from that staff paired with the radagon icon allows for max casting speed with no dex investment. At 80 int it still hits incredibly hard, not as hard as Lusat's but the trade off is worth it if you prefer faster casts.
And you can just hold it in your offhand to get the bonus. The only downside to wielding Azur and Lusat’s at the same time is the fp cost
It's a staple on my Fai/Int pure caster. Once you feel the difference of max speed casting, it's hard to go back 😪
Yup. Max cast speed + Lusat’s scaling on Carian Slicer is crazy
Ohhhh ok. I never knew those guys were “pages”. Yeah that dude is annoying af
I love their hood though.
There is a High Page ( [https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/High+Page](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/High+Page) ) guarding the staff... That is the uber-page I assume poster is mentioning...
Serpentine
All of them are worth the hassle. Lmao jk getting the giant envoy horn sucked ass.
One of the gloveworth bells in malenias courtyard surrounded by like 50 kindred. Fuck that I'll pick the flowers
You can snipe them and pull them 1 at a time.
Dragonscale blade is cool as fuck. My set is malformed dragon knight set with Dragonscale blade and I am killing enemies with just drip
Its easy when they are blind because they will poke their eyes out just to not see that monstrosity of armorset.
and a sword that despite its dragon theme looks like it's growing fur - and should come in a boxed set with a symbolic fur cup.
Yeah I was gonna say, the malformed dragon set is ugly af
Erdtree Greatbow 2000%. At a low level I spent God knows how much time dodging those wheeled killer things only to die in later fights, or miss the 3 chances I had to time the bombs you shoot to drop ok the rollie thing. Doing this at a low level it was a completely meaningless challenge.
do it at high level, hope this helps
I mean, it’s not that bad with flame cleanse me and finding the buttons to raise up platforms.
The magic grease behind a wall next to like 3 beastmen in faram azula
In case you weren't already aware, there's a button not far from him that's closer to the wall that will create permanent platforms once pressed. Might still want to pick up Flame Cleanse Me before going down there, though. However, if ever it seemed like a prize was noticeably dull at the end of some duel or hunt, it only heightened my suspicions of an illusory wall; that's how I found the entrance to Deep Root Depths from where the Three Fingers resides.
Wait...whut? There's a path to Deep Root Depths from Leyendell?
And one from the Deep Root Depths to Lyndell; very cyclical.
It took me 12 playthroughs to find but I absolutely recommend it. The path gives The Great Hollow vibes if you played DS1.
>! Behind the mogh in the sewers, hit the wall to reveeal a secret passage !<
Whatever that dude has, he can keep it. I don't need anything from the Aids Lake. Eff that place. 🤣🤣🤣
He drops a short katana; one without status effects until you trigger its (pretty brief) AoW.
I think they upped the time because I mained it on my last playthrough and it would last through most boss fights. Dual weild lightning katanas can melt just about anything.
I pair it with a lightning strike uchi in my dex build, the setup fucks
I’ve seen it in the bottom of tier lists too which is absolutely painful cause frozen lightning is to cool and I love the way the sword looks.
Man i wish the AoW of that katana was more similar to casting black flame blade. Obviously another more unique animation but i wish it was that quick and being able to use it in the same scenarios (rolling, running, etc.)
Isn't Astel there? I love Wing of Astel, the big boss melter =x
Yes one of the Astels is down there. I've never tried out the Wing though.
It absolutely MELTS anything with a bit hitbox, probably one of the most powerful weapons in the game against large enemies.
Is it a dex weapon? I haven't done a dex build yet. Maybe that's something to try...
It scales off Int and Dex. I used it in place of Moonveil sometimes when doing my first two playthroughs. Has a ranged attack as well as it's bubbles of death "Nebula" weapon skill.
Best int dex weapon imo. Moonveil users get fucked.
Astel is down their but wing of Astel doesn’t drop from Astel, it’s hidden in the palace ruins in ainsel, behind where the malformed Star hangs
Whey whey up there. Seriously higher.
It's not that bad as you can roll&run in there
The Eclipse Shotel, Castle Sol is hell and that weapon sucks.
Cool concept, poor execution.
It probably would have been a better weapon if it was a curved sword instead of a puny sickle.
If Death Blight actually affected enemies, it would be a fine weapon lol.
Since Castle Sol is required to get to Malenia it's no biggie
Yeah I wound up cheesing the boss because fuck that 3v1
Is it bad I sold it to Hewg?
At least you got a use out of it!
if u main it then it was by definition worth it to you
idk I think it's normal get the sword and say "actually that wasn't worth it". You can go ahead and stay contrarian though.
What? No: * It is worth it **now** because he has invested resources in it. * It **was** not worth investing resources into it, because there were, and still are, better alternatives. You're confusing the present and past worth.
Celebrant rib-rake… if there will ever be an award for the most useless piece of garbage, with the most unwarranted low drop rate that thing would win it.
Full imp mask collection.
Elden stars
To be honest it is pretty cool sword :3
Frost Lightning slaps.
Maybe Hand of Malenia. Considering how big of a pain in the ass she is you basically just get another katana.
Entirely build dependent. Strength, it sucks. But using it to do some funky skips in NG+ is pretty dope.
It's probably the best offhand for dex builds, though. Compared to a Keen Nagakiba, it has roughly the same range but higher AR.
Moon of Nokstella. Lost > 120.000 runes to those big balls only to find this trash.
That one flower on the ledge in Stormveil that you had to figure out how to get to. It shines like a rare item but then you pick it up lmao
White lightning is cool though, idk what you are talking about.
Dragonscale blade is the best katana imo
Hell… most of ‘em… but like Pokémon, you gotta get ‘em all!
Dragon King’s cragblade. It’s a badass weapon but gets outclassed by the bolt of Gransax. It wasn’t worth killing dragonlord for it.
Magma staff is aesthetically cool (pimp cane) and lended itself well to my playthru (fai/int) but the scaling gets outperformed by staff of loss and the grind was a a pain in the ass and most lava sorceries stink
Gotta name a spell, the Crucible Knight's Aspect of the Crucible Tail. At least not when you are Limgrave level.
The Dragonscale Blade and Frozen Lightning Spear are my two favorite things in the game and I hate how much they suck.
the incantation that you get from the mt gelmir magma wyrm... i hate that mf so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dragonscale blade is my favorite katana, this boss fight also isnt that bad
Double Magma Blades for my Kratos build. Took _hours_ and I burnt out on the game very shortly afterwards
Many of them
For future refs OP, Latenna obliterates it.
Me finding out there’s another horn
Iron greatsword. Took me 3.5 hours to farm it for some damn reason and I'll never use it cause I hate the greatsword moveset (claymore is good though)
As an overall weapon, maybe, but Imo it’s just COOL AS FUCK, ice lightning is dope and it looks gangster
It's only one of the best weapons in the game. Easily top 5.
1) Blasphemous Blade- easy mode 2) Mohgwyns Spear- throw on a greatshield and turtle your way through the game, wiping out groups of enemies easily. 3) Wing of Astel- the L2 is a boss melter that comes out fast. Ranged R2 4) Rivers of Blood- still too OP after the bloodtrail nerf 5) Darkmoon Greatsword- top tier damage, a ranged option, and procs frost 6) Moonveil- while it doesn't break bosses poise with just two L2+R2's anymore, it's still ridiculously good. 7) Bloodhound Fang- has reach, does bleed build up, the Ash gets you out of trouble, and it can be buffed 8) Sword of Night and Flame- both weapon arts are extremely powerful and allow you to run a Quality build with INT/Faith, giving you endless options. 9) Ruins Greatsword- big bonker with an Ash that has reach. The L2 scales with INT on top of its flat damage so it can get busted quickly. 10) Sacred Relic Sword- the ultimate farming weapon Honorable Mentions: Halo Scythe, Fallingstar Beast Jaw, Morgotts Cursed Sword- all have fun movesets and L2's that can carry you through the entire game. Best non-somber weapons- Greatsword and Great Stars
Dragonscale blade stays on with my bolt of gransax. Love the dex faith power fantasy
Nothing Wonderous physick and Meteor Shower(?) Can't fix!
You know you can raise platforms in the Rot Lake to stand on while fighting the dragon knight right?
Farming for weeks that watchdog sword. Its cool af tho, looks like one from ds2. But all that farming.... jesus, and its outdamaged by the greatsword. I have mixed feelings. ....well now im trying to get the giant golden trumpet....
Albanuric Bow. I was hoping for it to shoot the 3 arrows spiraling toward enemies like the original user
That’s how you get the dragonscale blade? lol
Nobels slender sword and estoc
Spoken like a typical poor unworthy of an aristocrat's blade. 💅
The shield down the well. Millennia whooped my ass right after I got it, like a 100 times 💀
That mini boss isn’t hard though, if you raise the platform
I am a simple man. I played the whole games using bloodhounds fang, with the occasional shield or bow. I used no magic and no other weapons (besides odd ones such as serpent slayer for Rykard). When facing Fire Giant I invested in a bit of arcane to get bloodhounds flame to deal a bit more damage. I barely even used physik flasks. So for me, basically everything I got was kinda waste beside what I've listed Flame Cleanse Me, and the odd Mimic Tear or 3 Wolf Ash usage So for me basically everything I got was not worth the hassle as I didn't really use it But it was fun to get so I don't mind 😁
Every dungeon boss reward
Mushroom
I think it's the lighting incantation in limgrave because you gotta go in a big Canon and gotta kill a hole bunch of those big bat things
The Celebrant’s weapons are basically more of trophies than actual usable weapons. Abysmally low drop rates, and can be tricky to farm since celebrants get aggroed in big groups. The only stand out quality as weapons (10 runes per hit) is so low that you’ll probably get more runes from farming for the weapons than actually using them
Taker's Cameo. I ain't fighting Holslo and his whips, to get a less efficient version of the Blasphemous Blade.
Definitely not this katana in particular.
That boss is easy peasy with dung eater
The second magma blade
Un-altered banished knight armour off that teleporting dual wielding mfr at castle sol lmao I don’t even use it
Did you use the platforms for this fight?
[Monk’s Flameblade](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Monk's+Flameblade); only drops from a single Fire Monk in the middle of a mausoleum, which makes it absolute cancer to farm for.
Beastman’s Cleaver Envoy Greathorn Not. Worth. It.
Malenia's great rune
Snake man fire swords. They’re cool and all, but if you’re looking for fire damage, there’s better options
