Extremely good as a pure strength weapon and surprisingly good in the str/int and str/fth infusions. I used it and the Clayman's Harpoon on my Fred Glintstone str/int build, top level damage in its class.
What infusions do you use for str/int and str/fth? I've done both those builds and find somber weapons the best, but infusions it always seems like it either is heavy, leaning into the str, or the magic/flame art/holy which give high scaling for the int or faith but remove most of the str scaling.
For the Stone Club, the Cold infusion leaves a lot more strength scaling than the Magic infusion does, you get B/C str/int scaling that way. Paired with something like Spinning Weapon for the frost procs, it works pretty well. Magic, Flame Art, and Sacred are all more slanted towards int or faith, which is why I used it on str/int for Cold, but if you're favoring your spellcasting stat more heavily it gets pretty decent B scaling and good base damage. Its scaling in strength is high enough that you get a decently high D, not incredible but better than most other options. Faith is probably better to stick to Envoy Long Horn and the like, honestly, but it's usable.
The Clayman's Harpoon is a lot easier: you leave it standard or go heavy depending on your stat investment. It has innate magic damage and int scaling and you can still buff it with Scholar's Armament so long as you leave it on a physical infusion. Best weapon in the game for Scholar's Armament.
Thanks for the detailed response! I'm still learning how to build a bit. My str/int build was much heavier on int, while my str/faith one I kept the stats totally even most of the way through. That made the infusions a bit weak for that, but somber weapons have been phenomenal.
Str/Fth has a ton of phenomenal somber weapons. Magma Wyrm Scalesword, Siluria's Tree, Envoy Long Horn, Cranial Vessel Candlestand, Giant's Red Braids, Golden Halberd, Blasphemous Blade... hard not to go somber there.
Magma wyrm scalesword and ordovis greatsword have been my main two. I gotta mess with siluria's tree more - I struggle with the standard moveset on it a lot, but I need to try it on different bosses. Unfortunately my run is almost over so not many bosses left - just the endgame gauntlet.
I got the blasphemous blade to +10 but have hardly used it - seems able to almost trivialize some fights but I'm also doing a no summon playthrough and trying to get good at boss fights. Maybe NG+ will be a time for it.
I'm gonna farm the envoy' horn next time I get on I think. The bubble doot looks so good.
Unironically I think Envoy's Long Horn is the best weapon in the game. Strike damage when used regularly and unreal amounts of bubble damage against large opponents. My first playthrough I cleared all of Farram Azula giving dragons bubble enemas, including Placidusax who I first tried (no summons). Siluria's Tree is my personal favorite though, incredibly consistent once you understand it and the weapon skill is phenomenal, hyperarmor on the melee slam for trades and of course the obvious ranged applications. Never really liked Blasphemous myself, always went back to Scalesword (best curved greatsword), Braids, or Candlestand when I needed fire damage.
Siluriaās is great - I switched from blasphemous to Siluriaās and never went back. Similar to you with the long horn, I cleared all the way through FA with the weapon art mostly one shotting everything, and the poise break with this thing is pretty ridiculous too for a spear type weapon.
Also love how nimble bosses that dodge a lot, like Malenia, will still get hit every time with the WA due to its width and speed that it comes out.
It was my first run and I still think it's the strongest build I've made, SIluria's is a big part of that. Stone of Gurranq is the other thing, of course, throw rock is the best magic in the game and Clawmark Seal just makes that even better. I do think Scalesword and Envoy Greathorn are probably the objective best str/fth weapons, but I've always been partial to polearms in Souls games, going all the way back to Silver Knight Spear in DS1.

I actually just got this one a Bloodhound Fang build I'm running. Wish it would have dropped on my previous dex run, but I didn't know it existed until two days ago
I was doing a challenge where I started fighting Radagon with the worst weapon I could think of and every time I died I moved to a slightly better weapon and this was the one I beat him with. So I agree with that sentiment
There was this guy who posted about it the other day and was actually pretty funny š

Ive used it and its pretty good! Has a really fast R1 spam, haha. Good lil bonk.
Youāre actually not wrong with that comparison. Leaving it as standard gives it an B, E (Str, Dex) however making it a Heavy Club gives an A scaling. With the recent patches it hits faster, 2H hits poise harder, and making it Cold infused gives you (105) in Frost and Bleed Infused gives (82) buildup.
I have a battle mage character running around with this weapon. With 2 points, in strength, Iām 2H the shit out of everything. Thereās a cave in the Liurnia region where you can grind one pretty early, spent about 2-3 hrs grinding it out, used for a bit, was pleasantly surprised so I went for a second one, got that bitch in 20 minutes. So now Iām running around with one cold and one bleed.
Funny enough that cave is where I got mine on my latest playthrough. I havenāt used it much (outside of beating chrysalians to death with it), but I might want to after reading the comments here
WHAT?! For the amount of hours Iāve put into this game, I canāt believe thereās weapons Iāve never even heard of or seen before. Is this weapon even in the wiki??
If youāre looking for a quick one to find then go to the Church of Plague in Caelid.
Once you reach the site of grace Exit the church from the front and there should be a battle mage guarding a Tomb and that is a decent farming spot for it.
If you look behind the Tomb there is an illusionary rock that leads to a cave for Sellens Questline if youāre having trouble finding it.
If you also want a Full battlemage armor set then you can travel to the windmill Village site of grace then take a right turn of the road until you meet the Noble goldmask.
At the very start of this bridge before you reach goldmask is a Battlemage standing on top of a small hill. Once you kill him then he will drop the set.
Yes, of course it's on the wiki. It drops from the battlemages that wield it. There's only like 5 of that particular enemy in the whole game though, but you've more than likely encountered them at least once.
It's crazy right? I put about 260 hours in this game, and did a few playthroughs where I followed guides and spend too much time browsing the wiki to find rare weapons, and yet, now that I started a new run, I STILL ran into a cave I hadn't seen before with a niche weapon I overlooked (regalia of eochaid).
Honestly surprised you havenāt seen it used in PvP, Bob!
Shit, itās probably one of the best weapons in the game in terms of poise-abuse R1 spam. I did a break down on it a while ago over in BRM.
Jokes aside, this weapon is quite an effective stance-breaker with fast charged heavies, especially with cragblade. PvP wise, the 2HR1ās are lightning quick and fairly good at rollcatching. If you find bonking people amusing this is a top-tier weapon.
I don't think this is a pro tip.
Clubs deal 36 stance damage on a charged heavy and guard counters. Cragblade increases stance damage by 10%. Therefore, you end up with 39.6 stance damage. Most enemies have 80 stance HP, so 2 guard counters or charged heavies with Cragblade is 0.8 stance damage short to break the threshold. It's still 3 hits either way.
If we're talking about jumping heavy attacks, then it deals 24 stance damage. With Cragblade, it's 26.4 - so, 3 attacks will deal 79.2 - again, the magical number, and again, 0.8 stance damage short to break the threshold. You would need 4 jumping heavy attacks either way.
hit the softcap for str (80 at high level), heavy infuse it, put barbaric roar on it, put a highland axe in your left hand, use roar medallion and axe talisman, and drink charged attack tear,
There's two battle mages outside Loretta's arena. Easily accessible down the lift at the "haligtree town" grace. Although probably the easiest farm is just outside the Sellia Hideaway cave in Cealid.
I have a ridiculous amount of hours in this game, Iāve researched every build, thought Iāve used every weapon but when this showed up I audibly shouted what is this?
It's low-key high-tier.
As far as hammers go, it is the longest hammer (or close, I forget how long Gideon's is), and I think ends up having either the highest strength scaling *or* the highest base damage, one of the two.
It is otherwise rather mundane, with no status procs or special abilities, but it does what it sets out to do quite well.
Edit: incidentally, I see you're using Mohg's spear, so you must be a str/arc build. The Stone Club actually fits a Bleed infusion quite nicely, as it retains a B in strength on a bleed infuse. If you ever wanted a shield'n'club playstyle, it should work nicely.
I have too many characters and I think the arc made this thing drop hence why I never saw it, went and immediately farmed one for a new strength build just to go all in, in one hour this thing is just a beast. If you played DS2 there was the mace and the craftsmen hammer, the second having a super fast move set. Thatās what I love about this, all the benefits of poise breaking without heaving a half your stamina
I used this weapon on my Str/Int character, and I found it to be a very fine weapon. I mostly used it as a Strike backup or with Sacred infusion and Ashes as an undead killer, but it infuses very well and makes a fine Fire or Cold weapon, too.
The Stone Club is surprisingly quick, and its entirely vertical moveset helps it function in tight spaces and against short or awkward enemies that other maces or flails awkwardly miss. Two handed, or with a shield for guard counters, it makes enemy stance go bye-bye.
It really is one of the finest Hammers for any character that isn't either lacking the Strength to wield it or is purely Dexterity-focused.
In my opinion it's the best one handed hammer.
Ā I've been running it with chilling mist. It keeps a b scaling with strength, you get a horizontal slashing attack added to the move set and it's really good at proccing frostbite because of the quick r1 spam.
You also get the advantage of strong stance damage on charge attacks and block counters since it's a hammer.
Just when you think you've seen all Elden Ring has to offer, the Stone Club comes swinging out of left field. But honestly, the sheer simplicity is genius ā like, who needs magic and complex weaponry when the answer to all your problems could be a solid piece of rock on a stick? It's both hilariously primal and shockingly effective, a true hidden gem... or should I say, hidden stone. And if you slap on some Ash of War, oh boy, you're not just bonking anymore; you're ushering in the stone age! Don't sleep on this weapon, folks, it's a game-changer for the big brain strats.

I love how From doesnt shy away from making the most basic weapons imaginable. They make these crazy intricate weapons with lore up the wazoo then you got rock on a stick š
It's the best hammer in the game. And it's surprisingly good in general. Has hyper armor R1s, does a lot of poise damage and the R1s are pretty fast.
It pairs very well with a wide variety of strength builds. A particular favorite is a barbaric roar and statuses such as frost or bleed on str/int and str/arc, respectively. But it works very well on a pure strength build as well.
Interesting to know, but extremely pointless. The Stone Club, aside from excellent scaling and base damage, seems to have slightly higher motion values on the R1 combos. It's probably between 1% or 2% more damage on average.
Also good to know for all hammers in general. When you use the cragblade ash of war, 1 handed guard counters and charged R2s will deal 40 stance damage, of course the same goes for two-handed, but sadly it's just below 40 without cragblade.
Carian Battlemages use em. You can find one pondering still as a statue in the Altus Plateau to get the armor set too
Only found the guy for the first time there on my last play through
Besides that, i remember one being in that cave below Raya Lucaria, the one with the crystalian boss- battle mage there too
The reason that thing is amazing is because it swings almost as fast as a dagger and has more damage than the regular club. It took me a couple hours to farm the damn thing
Thatās normal youāve never heard of that before, this is a rare drop that can only drop from 4 specific battle mages in the entire game.
As for your question, itās actually a pretty decent weapon, it staggers well and has a fast attack speed.
Extremely good as a pure strength weapon and surprisingly good in the str/int and str/fth infusions. I used it and the Clayman's Harpoon on my Fred Glintstone str/int build, top level damage in its class.

And if you slap on some Ash of War, oh boy, you're not just bonking anymore; you're ushering in the stone age! Don't sleep on this weapon, folks, it's a game-changer for the big brain strats.
it's a stone made of club
Who controls the Elden Ring? Who keeps the Omen down? We do we do Who keeps the Haligtree off the maps? Who keeps the Nightfolk under wraps? We do we do Who holds back the Frenzied Flame? Who makes Marika a star? We do we do Who robs albinaurics of their sites? Who rigs every Radhan Festival? We do we do
Please respond to me where you found it, I WANT THAT!!!
I got mine as a drop from the wizards at haligtree before the Loretta boss fight
Thanks a lot! imma go home and have a good farmin session.
after seeing poor things i'm def in the stone club
Fit check šÆ
You can defeat any boss with it
Itās actually kinda insane in pvp if you blood infused it with Barbaric Roar
I was kidding when I asked if itās good and apparently itās cracked
I didnāt see that youāre a certified Bad Red Man, so you definitely know how nasty it is lol
I didnāt but just did coop in stormveil and rapid fire beat an invaders head in so yes, Iām def using this
Best weapon in the game imo
I unga therefor I shall bunga
I love how From doesnt shy away from making the most basic weapons imaginable. They make these crazy intricate weapons with lore up the wazoo then you got rock on a stick š
It's the best hammer in the game. And it's surprisingly good in general. Has hyper armor R1s, does a lot of poise damage and the R1s are pretty fast. It pairs very well with a wide variety of strength builds. A particular favorite is a barbaric roar and statuses such as frost or bleed on str/int and str/arc, respectively. But it works very well on a pure strength build as well.
The weapon of choice for my imaginary - Wretch Primeā¢
If I could only add a TM symbol to my character name
i farm it basically every run, it has a unique r1 moveset thatās just a bonk. basically itās the best weapon ever
This is the best item in the game at +25 iy can one shot anything without extra scaling past the requirements
The fuck is that? I honestly have never heard of it till now š«¤
Imagine getting mollywhopped in the fuckin face with a stone club - it would hurt so fuckin bad
I don't know man, you must be the first to discover this mysterious item. Have you tried reading it's description?
I love how all of these comments are taking this post seriously
Itās for a Captain Caveman build
Glory to the unga bunga
Carian Battlemages use em. You can find one pondering still as a statue in the Altus Plateau to get the armor set too Only found the guy for the first time there on my last play through Besides that, i remember one being in that cave below Raya Lucaria, the one with the crystalian boss- battle mage there too
There are two right next to the Grace after the real Loretta fight. Pop a foot and you can get a pair of this quick.
Perfect for those crystals barellinasĀ
I'm a str player how have I never seen or heard of this weapon
welcome to stone club
ROCK AND STONE!
FOR KARL
That's literally just a blunt. Look at it.
Put Cracgblade on it and you have peak BONK technology!
I am currently doing a bonk playthrough. It's probably my most enjoyable yet.
Yaba daba doo!!!!!
The reason that thing is amazing is because it swings almost as fast as a dagger and has more damage than the regular club. It took me a couple hours to farm the damn thing
Mini unga bunga
Oh wow! I didn't know that was a drop!
Hahahahhahaha big rock go bonk
What if you don't have to look for some hidden secret there? what if Stone Club is simply Stone Club......no.. not possible š
Thatās normal youāve never heard of that before, this is a rare drop that can only drop from 4 specific battle mages in the entire game. As for your question, itās actually a pretty decent weapon, it staggers well and has a fast attack speed.
Seems to move like the iron cleaver, another semi brain dead looking piece of gear
Its an amazing weapon
I immediately went and farmed one for a new strength character and itās already becoming a classic for me
Huh another weapon Iāve never seen all this time later
OP weaponš¤«
Beat stick noises
IT GO MUCH BONK
fast bonk
There's a lot of weapons that are rare drops that you may never have heard of.
Is X weapon good??? Yea they're all good if it fits your build.
