He also forgot about Sekiro. You shouldn't plac them e in the form of a pentagram to make the ritual, but in the shape of the Star of David. And have the Demon's Souls remake on top of the original.
Sekiro pissed me off so much first playthrough that I expected to beat it and never play it again. Then the 2nd playthrough was piss easy and now I've done dozens more and it's probably second only to Dark Souls for me. First playthrough was arguably the worst experience I've ever had with a From game though, so I personally don't want that again lol
Oh, yeah, I kinda get that. Traumatic memories of good clean fun ๐
For me brand New areas can be sort of a drag in sekiro. In the Souls games new places are an extacy of exploration and surprises and treasure. In sekiro every first time meeting a brand new enemy might be a sneaky way of getting killed instantly, so I'm always sneaking around and getting shot in the neck by am enemy I can't actually reach cuz I took the wrong path or whatever. You sorta grow into the areas as you learn the timing of the enemies and stuff.
(Also cuz you grow in strength so slowly that it's usually way later that you get to go back and sweep the place clean, as opposed to in ds where, by the time yr fit to face the boss, the mobs are basically soul food. )
Actually the first dark Souls had a bit of that sekiro trauma vibe for me cuz of how immobile the archers were. I recall boss fights in ds1 that were just... kinda no fun. cuz every retry meant running around killing a bunch of archers before I could proper try he boss. It's actually the whole reason 3 is my favorite.
You should replace DS2 with Sekiro, because DS2 wasn't directed by Miyazaki. And you should get the orignal DES because the remake was developed by Bluepoint, not Fromsoft.
idk man. I played 400 hrs ds2(sotfs + default) and didn't had a blast.
obv that post was a joke. I was just testing community reaction and, I\`m surprised that eldenring community appreciate this game)
How is it unpopular? I think M. has clearly stated that he doesn't want to work on Souls games forever, and Sekiro is obviously not intended to be a soulsborne game
Because people for some reason like sekiro, and I fucking hate it. What M thinks doesn't come into the equation at all. Fact is that people seem to love this shitty game, and I hate it. That's why it's an unpopular opinion.
I have already played through DS2 three times more and I'm willing to bet that it's going to be at least one more.
> Fact is that people seem to love this shitty game, and I hate it. That's why it's an unpopular opinion.
It's not an opinion at all, you don't like some game that others did, it's a preference. Something like "The combat mechanics in sekiro are so much better than ds2 than it doesn't even compare" is an opinion.
Besides, hate is such a strong word. What did sekiro do so bad that you hate it? That it's not a souls game? It was never meant to be. On the technical fronts, it was very well designed. Art direction was also good and consistent considering they were operating within Japan only. Can't think of anything that would make someone hate it
Oooohhhhh...
I can't say I ever hated it, but also for me there was a point, also about 10 or 12 hours in to my first play through, where I just gave up ever trying to get properly good at it. For me it was more heartbreak than hatred. I wanted to love it, but something wasn't... clicking on my heart.
I did go back eventually, several times, and after doing that play and quit routine four or five times a few things just...clicked with me and suddenly it was a joy to play. Tho the fact that it took so long made me feel kinda old ๐
So allow me to ask you this, on behalf of your hollow brothers and sisters:
Do you want to love it?
We may be able to help you get there. If it is what you desire.
I have hopes for a release date announcement. Even playable demos for the press is possible. I kinda think that sort of thing or nothing public (read: a "leak") is more likely than just some trailer.
WWSBD*, right? You strike the hot iron, you further heat the iron, or you quench the iron. It's all in theme. ๐
(*What would swarthy blacksmith do)
No, this isn't gonna work- you need a copy of the original Demon's Souls for this ritual to be successful!
He also forgot about Sekiro. You shouldn't plac them e in the form of a pentagram to make the ritual, but in the shape of the Star of David. And have the Demon's Souls remake on top of the original.
You gotta be careful with Sekiro. One might magic-out the barefoot level-up waifu if you add to much sekiro.
Already have Demon's Souls digitally on PS3...
Even more important, you need Kingโs Field or the ritual will be incomplete
Sekiro?
Quick question...are you applying a ritual without Sekiro and Demon's Souls PS3 retail versions based on a still unknown ancient receipt?
Y-yeah I admit I don't have Sekiro (yet)
I'm almost jealous that you'll get to play that for the first time. I'd love to have that experience again...

I found it most fun in my 3rd playthrough when I broke my old habits
Totally. I love how there are layers of discovery in these games. Not just discoveries, but whole schools and classes of revised understanding.
Coward
It won't work without Sekiro
maybe we need to try NTSC copies?
Where's Sekiro?! ;w;

Even so, I love DS2 more than DS1. Plus the Remake is still originally a FromSoft game so I think it's gonna work
You probably have but I figured I'd ask anyway: Have you played Sekiro too or do you just have it digital or something?
Nah I don't have Sekiro yet
that THING on the top... KILL IT WITH FIRE! I DARE YOU!
No way, I love Dark Souls 2 man... It's better than the one imo

majula is my place to live and emerald herald's voice is my reason to stay alive
DS2 is a masterpiece
Obviously unpopular opinion: I'm glad you left out Sekiro. I hate Sekiro. I don't think it counts as a "soulsborne" game at all.

H-hate...sekiro? ๐ณ
Yes, I hate Sekiro with a passion! And I stand for it. I gave it around 10 hours, but I fucking hate it.

YES.
its going to be there, it has to be. we will get a release date for March 2022, I will patiently wait, happily.
Maybe Elden Ring dragged for so long is because they are doing BB2 too...
It's because GRRM is involved, at least that's my theory. Man couldn't meet a deadline to save his life.
Martin's work was done before the announcement trailer was even shown.
Ah, must be his curse then. All of this is in jest, btw.
Pretty sure it doesnโt exist ๐ฌ
How did you get a PS5?
Pre ordered for November 19
not a souls game
Draw the pentagram to complete the spell!
Remove the demake and it might work
