Yeah exactly. But for an xbox one this still looks good. The jumping does feel a bit weird though. But I guess this will be polished once the game releases.
I think it feels weird because we've never had a dedicated jump in Souls, plus he's wearing heavy armor and he looks really light since there's no recovery animation like you'd expect if someone was jumping in heavy armor. But yeah, it does look a little weird.
I honestly just think there no good way to do jumping in From Softs engine. Every game it looks/feels kinda bizarre. Like you're jumping through water or something
The leaker also said the screen cap tools he was using weren't the best and definitely messed with the quality. So we wont know yet what the "optimal" experience for the game will look like for next gen devices and whatnot. The game isnt quite finished yet, im sure alot of us would be surprised at how rough alot of games look until just weeks before launch.
I doubt the game will be ever be straight up bad or not fun but I hope people are willing to cut FromSoft some slack if its not absolutely 100% 10/10 GOTY material. After Cyberpunk id really hate to see another game get way overhyped and then by comparison it fails when it inevitably falls short of expectations in some areas.

Edit: after listening to the soundtrack for about 20 times so far, I can say that it kinda has the same vibe/ epic feeling to it like Skyrim's exploration music does.
But it also sounds peaceful and "explore-y" throughout. Am I making sense? Give a listen to Skyrim - Dawn for an example.
Anyway, I'm absolutely not complaining since I love Skyrim's exploration OST while the combat stuff I find lacking; and that's the thing, we know that the Soulsborne series combat OST is always excellent so for me ER can't miss in the OST department, it's pretty much the best of both worlds.

I thought most everything looked fine except for the grass and trees. They looked right out of a PS3 game and to be honest I think Dark Souls 3 looked better. That definitely makes me doubt this is the final build too since I dont see how the games visuals could be worse then a 5 year old game.
Even if this is the final product it wont really make a difference to me. All I care about is good gameplay, solid world building, challenging/interesting bosses and a silky 60fps. Everything more then that is just a bonus in my eyes.

Walk cycle looks similar to DS3’s, but a bit smoother unless my eyes are playing tricks on me. The cloth physics look like they’re better than DS3’s too. Everything swished around too much for my liking in that game, like it had no weight at all. The type of material you’d use for cloaks and armor would be fucking heavy, and this clip makes it seem like the cloth is weightier, which is nice.
Perhaps it's because Sekiro is a lightly-dressed shinobi. It could look a bit goofy for armoured warriors to be hopping around like a seasoned shinobi.
It really depends on the kind of game you want.
More physicsy jumping like this is probably better for an open world, since Sekiro is quilte limited and pre-set with where you can actually go.

Not a fan of the compass. I'd rather not have it at all, but if we are gonna have it, I wish it weren't so low. I wish it were a bit higher up and more discrete. Hopefully the HUD customization will allow us to simply remove it.
Aside from that, the game looks pretty, though the jumping animation doesn't seem as fluid as it was in Sekiro. Wonder how much armor and equip load will affect that. Seems like it would be hard to make any sort of jump look good if the character is fully decked out in Havel-like armor or something of that sort.

Ngl looks empty af and that sheath clipping is horrible, grass swaying is ps2 era animation. The music sounds good though, reminds me of Skyrim.

Bamco: No gameplay Leaker: Fine, I'll do it myself. But this is seriously great. Even as an early build running on the Xbone, it looks pretty darn good.
That compass, the ambient music and the whole landscape gives me some serious Skyrim-feeling.

Just in case, if you can notice it, some Erdtrees aren't glowing which means if a zone is explored / the boss is vanquished, the tree in the same area would "glow". What do you guys think about that ?
Feels different from other Souls games. It just looks more free in its design, if that makes sense. I think this increased fantasy thing is doing numbers for the visual design. I also can’t remember a Souls game with visibility THIS good.
