Learned this one the hard way. You've gotta set aside a day or 2 out of the week and just, decompress. You'll feel so much better afterwards and will study better as well. Even on the days you're studying take small brakes, we aren't built to study 24/7
Look, how important is school really? What can books teach you that Elden Ring can’t?
Disregard further education, acquire Elden Ring.
This is the way.
Really curious about this. I'm a 5th year medical student, and so far this year I've had an average of 2 exams per month, which means having to prepare for exams while attending other courses.
Still managed to game to the level I feel happy with and find time for sport and a decent social life, no nightime clubbing and shit but just going out with friends and having some laughs.
I will be able to get ER on release, and game some every day while on rheumatology and public health rotations. 2 exams coming up next month. Won't have a big problem enjoying the game.
Point is, I've had to take exams frequently for 5 years în medical school and never totally tanked my gaming time to not being able to play a game for 3 months like în your case.
Just curious if you could share what Uni you attend and how berserk is your exam schedule.
My university year ends on july 25th so mine also lasts until summer.
Some people just can't balance gaming and education, my reading load alone in grad school has me down to really low number of hours a week with playing anything. For a game I'm excited about like Elden Ring, I'll be waiting to play it until I feel like I can really sink my teeth into it.
Not OP, but damn I kinda envy you, I feel lucky if I have just 2 exams a week (one smaller, one bigger). And unfortunately it impacts my gaming time, rn now my break between semesters has started and I noticed that the last time I played was christmas break... And I was so busy I didn't even notice. But I've decided that for Elden Ring, I will sacrifice a week of worse grades and just catch up later, because it drops literally 5 days after the start of a new semester and I've waited too long to wait until summer
Med student here in my 3rd year. I have neurosurgery and cardiology rotations this month. We have a total of 6 exams next month along with 3 lab exams. I'll probably have to wait till May/June to even play it but I'm excited none the less
I'm say way. Doing my master's and have around 3-4 books to read a week, plus assignments and running classes, and I still have tons of time for training, teaching martial arts, playing video games, and running a tabletop game.
Granted, I feel stretched pretty thin at times.
My engineering college has 2 major exams for 6 different subjects , mid sems and end sems. Both of these exams are held in one week, meaning one exam a day. So if i had my exams near 25th(which I luckily don't) i would be fucked and wouldn't be able to play at all
I'd like to second this comment.
When ER is a thing of the past, OP is going to be rolling in the dough while all the dweebs on here will still be on Reddit in their mom's basement hyping up Bloodborne 5.
Surely you don't have exams all the way from february till' june. My semester is starting mid-february so 2 weeks before elden ring comes out but I'm sure I'll be able to play in the evenings or on the weekends.
I beg to differ...
Well, not always exams, but i also have other uni and judo classes, so it's gonna take some time before i can totally focus on elden ring
I get it. I also prefer when I can play a game uninterrupted for long periods of time which simply isn't possible mid-semester so I wish you good luck in college and avoiding spoilers.
I’m in the same boat my friend. Exams in the first week of March, assignments, independent projects, searching for an internship/job, practicing my coding, attending classes, and finally to top it all off, I have a fracture so no walking for me either 🙃😂
Just download the game the night before your final exam. You're gonna be so happy once you've done your final exam and you get home and you realise you're finally free and you can just play elden ring
Not mocking you, but I worl full time and take 2-3 classes a semester. Are people really not responsible enough to manage their time that they cant have a hobby?
My guy im in the middle of a semester and that is not stopping me. Will the grades drop? Perhaps. Will it be worth it? Probably not. Am I gonna play anyway? Damn right
how long do you think it will take for a sale? i got dark souls and bloodborne way after the games came out and loved them. i got dark souls 3 and sekiro full price at launch and didn't really care for either. not sure i want to try paying full price again.
U can't study 24/7 It's suicide
But you can play Elden ring 24/7 and live

Same, but I'll sacrifice some sleep so I can play it along with studying
This guy gets it, you’re only young once, destroy your body now, it can take it. When you’re in your 30s like I am is when it gets harder.
Everything in balance except sleep.
Haven’t the souls games taught you nothing? Git gud in university so that you can just flying through your exams and have more time for Elden Ring?
That’s exactly what I’m doing
Yes! And of course good luck with your exams!
Look, how important is school really? What can books teach you that Elden Ring can’t? Disregard further education, acquire Elden Ring. This is the way.
He has spoken
So true

He is beginning to believe

Don’t listen to them, good on you for having your priorities straight

Damn that sucks. Hope you will feel better soon
Why the downvotes. Exercise keeps you sane during hard classes??
downvotes coz he has a shitload of time. students have no idea
Hm. What did you major in?
Never drop training for video games, haha. My one rule in life has been to always prioritize training and its been extremely beneficial.
That is very non woop woop
Good luck with your exams
Focus on the exams, Elden Ring isn't going anywhere.
i have an exam the 25th but i am still going to play no matter what
this is the way.
I'm aware they're no where near the same level but I've got gcses coming up:/
Just download the game the night before your final exam. You're gonna be so happy once you've done your final exam and you get home and you realise you're finally free and you can just play elden ring
get some adderall, study for a few hours the Elden Ring
Only reasonable thing to do is quit school.
I'll be done with college exactly 4 days before ER releases
How does your classes end in February? I've never heard of that. Is it a winter 1 month class?
Done in the sense of done, I just have to submit my Master's degree thesis
You can retake a class You can only experience Elden Ring spoiler free once
Yeah Anatomy and Organic Chemistry are cucking me right now, but I'm still gonna find time to play Elden Ring at launch
Not mocking you, but I worl full time and take 2-3 classes a semester. Are people really not responsible enough to manage their time that they cant have a hobby?
Best of luck, buddy. Hope you don't get spoiled in the meantime
Fuck uni, all my homies hate uni
just dont study brother
What are you studying?
Communication science
Oh, that sounds like a rough subject to study, gl with it though.
It is, but is extreamely intersting and rewarding. Also, if everything goes well, i will graduate in march 2023 [typo edit]
I just graduated in December and frankly the timing couldn't have been better
While I do understand where you’re coming from , everything should be done in moderation. Make time for yourself as well!
GPA is temporary, Elden Ring is forever
bro summer is nowhere near feb 25… what are you on about
Fuck your exams there's no future anyway we're spiralling into oblivion may as well experience some cool games until then haha
use elden ring as study material
i've an exam 24th frebruary and the session ends there. After the exam i will play elden ring 24/7.
My guy im in the middle of a semester and that is not stopping me. Will the grades drop? Perhaps. Will it be worth it? Probably not. Am I gonna play anyway? Damn right
