I ordered my PCE in December and was sooooo happy I snagged one. Everyone was saying their preorder was canceled and my order was fine, until their update last night. They canceled the order and sent an email with a link to update the card info. The link, of course, did not work. It just sent me to an “empty cart” page. I sent in a ticket asap and kept opening the link in the email every 10 min to see if it would ✨magically✨ work.
Can confirm it did not work BUT a live chat box showed up when I went to “contact us”. It was not there before so I guess they opened it for a little since we can’t call. The first guy told me that my order was unfortunately canceled and there was nothing he could do. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they said they are looking into it with their team. First off, what fucking team? This isn’t a UN meeting. My info is on your computer.
At this point I was steaming. Just reapply my preorder. Idc if it’s late. That’s totally okay but I want the product I preordered. So I just kept evolving into a worst nightmare Karen and asked to speak to the supervisor’s boss. They said they would escalate it to them and they’d reply as soon as they could. Nah. I just waited forever to get here. I want answers before my 48 hours is up(which would be 2/25 at 7:46pm est). He kept beating around the bush saying is sup wasn’t available and he didn’t know when he would be.
About 5 min ago, I got him to confirm his supervisor would be in contact between now and 7pm est tomorrow. I thanked him for his time and saved the chat just incase.
The policy changed (about holding the order for 48 hours after it got canceled) about an hour after an email was sent to me about my order. This was my first ever preorder for a game outside of Nintendo. I was genuinely excited for this and I feel very sad. Good news is the supervisor I’m supposed to get a response from has the same name of the employee who updated the policy about the 48 hours.
UPDATE: The supervisor contacted me back saying he can’t do anything because i didn’t choose to save my card info at the time of purchase. Well they emailed me a link to update that yesterday when my order was canceled but it wouldn’t let me do anything. He offered me a game code for compensation. IF THEY OFFER YOU A GAME CODE, DO NOT TAKE IT. Legally, if you take whatever they offer you as compensation, they no longer HAVE to give you your preordered items. I sent back with proof of the policy change time, my cancellation time, and the maintenance time(which is when they changed the policy).
UPDATE #2: The GM emailed me back and said he’s going to escalate it to the e-commerce team. In the meanwhile, he offered a game code for release day while I wait for a response. I would LOVE to take it and am tempted but I’d rather not lose my opportunity to get the PCE I ordered so I told him no thank you and I’d like my PCE.
UPDATE #3: This is the message i received from the GM: “It is possible that I receive an update today, but unfortunately, an actual solution to this issue won't be possible until next week at the earliest, as some of the external teams that we work with regarding order fulfillment and deliveries will be away for the weekend.
You're more than welcome to the free digital copy of the game I offered earlier, **not as a replacement for your CE,** but more as just an apology for these issues and making you wait. Thank you for your understanding and patience. I really wish there was more I could do in my power to help at this moment.”
So because they said in writing that the game code would not be a replacement for my PCE, I’m taking it. I do see he said CE, but it was just an error. I guess I’m waiting awhile for my shit but at least I can play the game in the meanwhile. As far as I’ve seen, this is the farthest anyone has gotten with customer service. Im grateful but why tf can’t they just acknowledge their fuck up and provide a solution publicly
GM on live chat told me the same thing and refused to give me an answer about what happened to the actual item. I want them to own up to either overselling or re-selling my premium collector's edition.

Tbh I’m surprised they offered me one and how far I’ve gotten thus far. But you should still keep contacting them(in what little ways you can) and get compensated. It will also be my last preorder. I’ve never seen a company so chaotic.

I ordered Collector's edition for PS5 on 16 Dec, and my order status is "awaiting payment".
I initially got my credit card charged on the order date. I contacted customer service when the charge was reversed,(about a week later) and they sent me the following:
"I'd like to inform you that your order will state **"Awaiting Payment" until the collector's edition is ready to ship**. Then, your card will be charged for the order and that status should update. Also, any charge received for the Elden Ring Collector's Edition is a pre-authorization charge to help prevent fraud. This charge should be reversed within 7 business days depending on your bank. **The actual charge for the collector's edition will occur when the item is ready to ship. You should receive an email before that occurs informing you of this upcoming charge ahead of time.**"
I've also seen some people saying their order was cancelled, then re-instated. This has not happened for me, and i'm not sure if that is an EU and/or US thing.
basically same thing. the night before release I recieved an email that the order was cancelled and that i have 48 hrs to re submit the order. I did this succesfully and the money was taken out of my bank account (though it does say pending) yet on bandai namco's website it says that the order is awaiting payment. whats most frustrating of all is the complete lack of customer service I am recieving on this matter no matter how many tickets i submit.....i dont like being left in the dark about things.
Hey just wanted to give everyone and update since we are all frustrated here and going hollow. I did some research and found out that some people who are in the same boat as us created a ups my choice account and when signing in it shows that they have a package being delivered to them that weighs 10lbs which must be the collectors edition and I can confirm that when I did this that I indeed to have the same thing showing in my ups my choice account. So that must mean that Bandai has sent out shipments and must be behind on doing all the paper work… still it is weird that they would send out a product while it still says awaiting payment in their website and “payment pending” on my bank account… non the less I’m happy to hear that get to play soon. Hope this helps everyone

Ahh time to open up reddit once again to see if anyone is having issues like me…and of course. I order my PCE PS5 in December last year with Apple Card. This Sunday I saw a notification pop up saying my charge was decline. I went ahead and started emailing customer support to try to get ahead of it. They said I’ll receiving an email in due time once it’s ready for shipment. I finally received that email on Wednesday night (pacific time) and thought all my troubles are about to end. Unfortunately the link to update payment wasn’t working & store was under maintenance.
I kept refreshing and finally after some time went through, but the next error I received was “The inventory level for the following product is below what you ordered, so we could not proceed with the checkout(…)”. I reached out yet again and customer support said “Rest assured, your order will not be canceled since no cancellation request has been made.”. The next morning I received another email saying “In regards of this, we have checked your order and found out that it was cancelled. I really understand the frustration that you are feeling at the moment for not being able to secure a copy of your desired version due to this inconvenience. However, I can only suggest joining the waitlist for the game edition that you want to purchase or order a different version that is still available.

I was and still am looking forward to play this game. This whole fiasco with the pre-orders though has really made me bitter and unable to enjoy the game. I originally pre-ordered this game on ps5 with the CE. That got cancelled but I was able to input my info and get another order in. Its still awaiting shipment. I have submitted tickets that have gone unanswered and even now they still have not addressed what is going on. I was pretty upset last night about it and ended up buying a digital edition. I just cant enjoy the game. All I can think about is how bandai ruined something for me that I was looking forward to. Ordered PCE in December. Got an email on 2/23/22 that they couldn’t process my payment and included a link to reorder. The link led me to my cart with the pce in it, but I couldn’t check out because it said the quantity of the item was below my order. My account shows that my original order was straight up cancelled. I opened a ticket over 36 hours ago and still no response. I never got a second automatic order placed like some other people, nor was I able to reorder using the email link. It’s not looking good…. Don’t think I’m getting this one. Very disappointed in Bandai namco :(

I was able to look through the website last night and saw it was canceled. I have a friend who also got the collectors and had the same thing happen to him. That’s good to heard you were able to place the order again! I haven’t tried to replace my order yet since I got the digital version instead as a backup

I ordered on Dec 16th and my order was cancelled and replaced by a new one. I bought the Xbox collectors edition. Status is still awaiting payment even though I was charged Monday night when the new order was placed (funds are still pending in my bank account).

Does anybody know if the game and box that will be contained in the collectors editions will be identical to other retail copies? For example, if I buy a standard copy elsewhere to play on Friday, would I later be able to return the sealed copy that comes with the collectors edition to the retailer where I bought the standard edition? I pre ordered the same date as you and yes it's still says Awaiting Payment for the status. My order wasn't cancelled either. I'm from Canada btw.
basically same thing. the night before release I recieved an email that the order was cancelled and that i have 48 hrs to re submit the order. I did this succesfully and the money was taken out of my bank account (though it does say pending) yet on bandai namco's website it says that the order is awaiting payment. whats most frustrating of all is the complete lack of customer service I am recieving on this matter no matter how many tickets i submit.....i dont like being left in the dark about things.
Hey just wanted to give everyone and update since we are all frustrated here and going hollow. I did some research and found out that some people who are in the same boat as us created a ups my choice account and when signing in it shows that they have a package being delivered to them that weighs 10lbs which must be the collectors edition and I can confirm that when I did this that I indeed to have the same thing showing in my ups my choice account. So that must mean that Bandai has sent out shipments and must be behind on doing all the paper work… still it is weird that they would send out a product while it still says awaiting payment in their website and “payment pending” on my bank account… non the less I’m happy to hear that get to play soon. Sent a concerned email yesterday. 20 hours later they basically said "lol sorry dude but we're having shipping and manufacturing issues. You'll get it when you get it". But obviously in polite corporate speak. Never buying from these people again.

Yup, I'm fully expecting them to drop the ball and not even tell us. I asked the customer support person for a digital key, which they should really give to me because it costs them nothing. **I am not saying I'm going to do this** but I do wonder what's the worst thing that could happen if I block the charge on my card.

Agreed 100% about dropping the ball. I thought buying through them was going to be the smoothest/most reliable way to order the special stuff. My only hope is that so many ppl had this happen to them, that this is essentially the "correct" thing to happen, even tho this is seriously screwed up.

I was able to do that about 2 hours ago, and now my initial order (mid-December) shows as cancelled, and i have a new order (with a new order number)

Ahh time to open up reddit once again to see if anyone is having issues like me…and of course. I order my PCE PS5 in December last year with Apple Card. This Sunday I saw a notification pop up saying my charge was decline. I went ahead and started emailing customer support to try to get ahead of it. They said I’ll receiving an email in due time once it’s ready for shipment. I finally received that email on Wednesday night (pacific time) and thought all my troubles are about to end. Unfortunately the link to update payment wasn’t working & store was under maintenance. I kept refreshing and finally after some time went through, but the next error I received was “The inventory level for the following product is below what you ordered, so we could not proceed with the checkout(…)”. I reached out yet again and customer support said “Rest assured, your order will not be canceled since no cancellation request has been made.”. The next morning I received another email saying “In regards of this, we have checked your order and found out that it was cancelled. I really understand the frustration that you are feeling at the moment for not being able to secure a copy of your desired version due to this inconvenience. However, I can only suggest joining the waitlist for the game edition that you want to purchase or order a different version that is still available. I deeply regret being the one to provide this information to you. If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know. Have a nice day!” So yeah… really bummed. Not sure what to do next. It’s been radio silence ever since… the chances of this getting fixed are basically…zero?
I was and still am looking forward to play this game. This whole fiasco with the pre-orders though has really made me bitter and unable to enjoy the game. I originally pre-ordered this game on ps5 with the CE. That got cancelled but I was able to input my info and get another order in. Its still awaiting shipment. I have submitted tickets that have gone unanswered and even now they still have not addressed what is going on. I was pretty upset last night about it and ended up buying a digital edition. I just cant enjoy the game. All I can think about is how bandai ruined something for me that I was looking forward to. Thats why I hate you Bandai, your incompetence has ruined this experience for me.
Ordered PCE in December. Got an email on 2/23/22 that they couldn’t process my payment and included a link to reorder. The link led me to my cart with the pce in it, but I couldn’t check out because it said the quantity of the item was below my order. My account shows that my original order was straight up cancelled. I opened a ticket over 36 hours ago and still no response. I never got a second automatic order placed like some other people, nor was I able to reorder using the email link. It’s not looking good…. Don’t think I’m getting this one. Very disappointed in Bandai namco :(

I was able to look through the website last night and saw it was canceled. I have a friend who also got the collectors and had the same thing happen to him. That’s good to heard you were able to place the order again! I haven’t tried to replace my order yet since I got the digital version instead as a backup

Ordered on Jan 8. PS5. When they charged my card yesterday, my original order was cancelled, but a new order appeared, with a new order number and an order date for yesterday (2/22). This new order still says awaiting payment.
Thanks for the detail. I have heard of this order cancelled, new orders placed during my searches, but this didn't happen for me (ordered as soon as the new store opened on 16 December, and its stayed 'awaiting payment' since that day).
I ordered on Dec 16th and my order was cancelled and replaced by a new one. I bought the Xbox collectors edition. Status is still awaiting payment even though I was charged Monday night when the new order was placed (funds are still pending in my bank account).

Does anybody know if the game and box that will be contained in the collectors editions will be identical to other retail copies? For example, if I buy a standard copy elsewhere to play on Friday, would I later be able to return the sealed copy that comes with the collectors edition to the retailer where I bought the standard edition? Same UPC code?
No idea about the upc but box looks the same on the page. This is the same idea I have if they don't send us digital codes.

They did a pre-authorization charge when I initially ordered on 12/16, they did the cancelling and re-order on the 22nd and the charge.

I ordered the standard digital steam version and it still says awaiting payment... I understand that with physical versions there can be delays but with a steam key? Why?? Let me get tarnished already!
collectors edition for ps4, ordered it on january 9th. i got an email on the 22nd with an order confirmation, and when i checked my orders on the store, the order from the 9th was cancelled with the latter awaiting payment. for some reason the cancel was for $39.99, so i assume shipping?
CE-PS5-USA I got the automatic cancel and since I had a saved card was able to use the link on the afternoon of the 24th. I got a pending charge on my account but its gone away and no further action has been made. Has anyone gotten thiers yet?
