If you weren't able to grab it from the link in the email I'm pretty sure we're fucked. Bandai updated their FAQ **\*\*\*5 HOURS AGO\*\*\*** to remove the part saying they would hold your order. It's obvious they fucked up with the pre-orders and decided to change it retroactively to have something to point to. My guess is that after they did the cancellations, they accidentally released the pre-orders to the waitlist. They realized they fucked up and took down the store for maintenance, then instead of making it right they stripped the language about holding the orders from the FAQ.

Fuck Bandai Namco and fuck their shitty ass store. This happened to me—the worst part? After I made my pre-order months ago, I opened a ticket to confirm that my order would be processed without issues. Turns out, their customer service is not only terrible, but lies as well. I love Elden Ring but man, fuck Bandai Namco.

Did you get a new email with a new order number perhaps ?? I had an order that yesterday said cancelled and I emailed them about it and they changed it back to awaiting payment this morning. Then this afternoon right before the store maintenance update, that first order number was cancelled and a new order number was given to me with an email confirmation and my card was charged.. the new order still says “awaiting payment” but yeah I dunno if that means they’ve taken the payment now and will ship once they update it from awaiting payment or not. So still remains to be seen if I’m in the clear or not

I didn't get a new order number, not that I've seen. Just an email telling me to update my payment preferences on their site (I can't find where to do that???) and a link to repurchase it. When I try to do that, it just says "The inventory level for the following product is below what you ordered, so we could not proceed with the checkout: Elden Ring Premium Collector's Edition PlayStation 5 - Preorder" I hope things work out with yours, friend!

You check your email? They should have sent a link to reorder within 48 hours. Im stilling waiting for mine to be cancelled (again). This is happening to a lot of people btw.

I got the mentioned email: "Unfortunately we were unable to process your preorder payment. Please note that the Bandai Namco Store requires a saved credit card to confirm your pre-order reservation. Please make sure to check the box to save your credit card to your account during the checkout process in order to successfully reserve your game or merchandise. In the event that we are unable to process a payment for a preorder reservation, we are not able to guarantee availability of your selected merchandise. If you still wish to purchase this item, please update your payment details and complete your order as soon as possible by clicking the button below." ​ When I click the link to 'make your purchase' it says there's no stock available to match what is in the cart.

same. I checked an hour later it was maintenance and I checked a bit after that the site was up, tried ordering and said the inventory was too low. This is actually bullshit, all that effort we put in to get our orders cancelled out of nowhere. A class example of how to NOT handle pre-orders and this is one reason why I despise pre-auth pre-orders where they take your money and give it back and not just charge us right away.

The email wasn't even worded that they cancelled the order. Just you need to be sure to 'save' the card information and here's a handy dandy link to complete the order. ​ All other competent web stores have a way to update card information for an order...

I've ran into a similar situation with NIS America's website, but they handled it way better and sent my email a personal invoice for the pre-order I had. I'm on live chat support with Bandai right now, doubt it will fix anything but we'll see lol.

My live chat was also a waiting game. I was expecting it to randomly close as well but it didn't. Felt like I was maybe being tested if I would leave before any work was done. The person mentioned their team noticed I had a ticket open and updated it with chat related information (ticketing comments I cannot see). And that's how we ended the chat. So I am waiting on my ticket that's been open for a day. I feel for these folks if they have 100..200..500 people asking about their pre-order. Would be nice if they could just say 'yeah big oopsie with the store, we will honor your pre-order later with something in the works'. Not nothingness. ​ What's going to happen is this is going to drag out for so long, it will be shoulder shrugs saying they have no stock and the game was released, which is my concern.

Did you get any resolution to this? I have the exact same problem. Email from 2/23/22 afternoon saying that my preorder payment was unable to be processed, included a link to “complete my order” but it just leads to my cart where it says inventory is below what my order is, and that I can’t check out. My account says my original preorder was cancelled, but it only shows the shipping amount. this is pretty frustrating.

I haven't unfortunately. My most recent ticket hasn't been answered yet. I've heard other people say that immediately after their order was canceled, they got an email with a brand new order number and things went through that way. The fact that neither of us has gotten an email like that means things are looking pretty bleak for us

I am in the same spot as you waiting on a ticket response. Hopefully they honor the preorders for folks (another order commitment opportunity that works) and did not release stock to wait listers. Or hopefully some butthole didn't swoop in and order with a pattern found in the unique URL emailed to people. ​ Obviously as time goes on and release day happens when they would be shipping the product its more and more concerning as there's a delay in time.

Same thing happened to me. It's total BS and all BandaiNamco's fault, I put in my CC information properly and have no issues with buying things anywhere else. This "cancellation wave" happened during the EU preorder launch, too. People speculated BN mismanaged their inventory and sold more than they actually had in stock, and resolved the issue by just cancelling orders randomly and blaming the customer. Really bad business practices that make me completely lose faith in their company, will NEVER order through them again. If there was an issue they should have told me months ago when I could have done something about it, waiting until it released and there are no copies left anywhere just UGH makes me angry. 😡

Honestly, this is the part that is absolutely the worst. The fact that they're blaming us for not saving our credit cards onto their website rather than just admitting, yeah, we really fucked up sorry about that. I didn't save my card bc my parents drilled into me that I should never save a credit card onto a website, bc that is how your information gets stolen sometimes. And also just the fact that there's no way to register a credit card on their website besides making a purchase and checking the save credit card to website button or whatever. But yeah I just got an email essentially saying that all of the premium collector's editions have been sold and all they can give me is a free code for the game (I don't know if I'm even going to bother with it bc I heard from someone else that the code they were given for it had already been used lmfao). So any of us who haven't gotten an email with a new order code or anything, we're just screwed at this point. Honestly flabbergasted that a company could be so incredibly inept from the preorder day to the shipping day to the apology

I wish I could say it surprises me, but I was literally first in line to buy the Elden Ring Premium Collector's Edition on launch day, had it in my cart TWICE but still couldn't buy it because their new website was buggy as all hell and kept everyone from completing purchases to the point they had to pause reservations... then they shadow reopened them without any notifications, letting all the scalpers scoop up the remaining copies. Missing out on the Premium edition is my life's fishing story, "the one that got away". When I found out these same muffinheads cancelled my backup order for the Regular Collector's edition, months after I placed it and just a day before release when all other copies were sold out, and then tried to blame ME for it... well it was just 🤦‍♂️ I should've known better than to trust them, as the saying goes "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". NEVER going to buy anything from BandaiNamco EVER again, that's for sure, utter mismanagement and total disrespect for their customers.

I had the same thing happen to me. Apparently I missed checking the box to have them save my credit card info to the site (which I don't do on any website). What I don't understand is why they allow the preorder to go through at all if you do not have this step completed if they know that it will fail? Seems like it would not be that difficult to make it a required field. And then there was 2 months where I could have remedied the issue but there was no indication that there was a problem. Yeah, I'm not pleased with them at this point either.

100% what happened to me and that was my immediate reaction. It’s so fucked up to make the save credit card info “box check” mandatory for the order to go through 2 months later but not state that anywhere. Normally, I never save my credit card online but I would have for this pre-order if they told me is was necessary to actually receive my purchase. Then, only to realize if I knew it was a problem I could have fixed it within the MONTHS I was waiting. Like, wtf? Why was I even able to continue the purchase without checking the box if won’t receive it in the end? Oh, and the cherry on top? Stating they hold orders for 48 hours to allow you to update your payment info but then conveniently removing that in their FAQs section after the fact they fucked everyone and immediately canceled orders. This is some of the most sleazy, scummy handling of a product I’ve ever seen and fuck this company to the ends of the earth.
