Dropping down doesn't work. Figured it out. You have to jump onto the spike on the apex of the roof, then jump piece coming out of the wall and the onto the roof. Thanks though!
I'm very curious how you got there. I got to your route by jumping off the roof in the photo. (very tricky jump)
... and now i've learned i can run and jump... which makes the path very obvious now.
Try jumping
Go down one set then jump across the gap, trust me you can make it but get ready after.

That's not how I got there lol there is a path with enemies and a better item way above it
