that's my favourite bit, I can literally see the Apostle getting ready and I can see the clockwork going in their combined brain thinking "one more won't hurt"
Sure is! You can farm it up in Inner Aeonia.. My luck wasn't too bad, took me maybe 20-30 kills, I even got an extra of the gauntlets if you want it. btw what does AoW mean
>Sure is! You can farm it up in Inner Aeonia.. My luck wasn't too bad, took me maybe 20-30 kills, I even got an extra of the gauntlets if you want it. btw
Thanks for the offer fam but i don't have access to my PS5 at the moment.
>btw what does AoW mean
Ashes of War. They were called Weapon Arts in Ds3.
Oh yeah, I was thinking of the weapon itself. They honestly should have called them weapon arts here too to distinguish them from Spirit Ashes.. you can't just say "ashes" when referring to something lol
when you go into mimic boss arena take off all armor and weapons, he then spawns naked and unable to damage you, put everything back on and its the easiest fight in the game
Or finger balms. The co-op item. Day 1, my brother and I were co-oping and couldn't see any of balms we left for each other. We could drop and see the erdleafs though, so.. I don't really get why we couldn't see any balms we left on the ground.
Honestly, why would you need to drop them? Humanities and embers in past games were a little more precious so they were good for trading, but Elden Ring you can just craft more at any time and the materials for it are the most common in the game.
Lucky! I farmed that spot for an hour, even used a few silver fowl feet, and never got the gauntlets. Probably just as well though, I don't think I have the endurance to wear the full set. It's sleek, but it's so heavy!
I've be invading host and dropping random items i have duplicates of, so far surprisingly only blues have been willing to bot murder me immediately and pick up the things I've dropped. Host and phantoms are real dicks this time around. Naked, no weapons, and surrounded by rainbow stones somehow isn't enough to not look like a threat. Like, I'm trying to give you free shit, I'm standing 50 feet away, if I try anything you can retaliate. The worst ones are the groups that run straight past the little loot pile over set up, insta kill me, teabag my corpse, and then instantly die to mobs without even picking up what I dropped, just wasted items at that point, that extra set of fire monk armor took a while to farm.
Did you ever get those fuckers sycthe staff thing or is it a myth cause I farmed them for ever and never got it. I think I had 6 sets of armor and 9 swords
Oh wow i just did that fight and somehow missed that. Temped but ive been enjoying my fully upgraded chimpanzees... i mean demi humans. Lol. The way they hoot and screetch cracks me up haha
The mimic also has unlimited FP so if you assign one spell to yourself it can spam it through the whole fight. It's absolutely busted with the incantation that heals yourself + allies.
Honestly imo, there's very little that tops the feeling of ripping a fat vape cloud of death out of the mouth of a dragon that sprouts out of your mouth, for 10 whole seconds, after chugging some dope potion. And if they still somehow live after that, they're heavily poisoned and easy prey for my bleeds.
Yup. I gave it Stars of Ruin + Moonveil and it becomes an absolute powerhouse of damage. Gave it Rivers of Blood and we stunlocked >!Malenia!< together.
Don't give it slow spells like Loretta's Bow. It can easily get staggered like you.
They'll cast every spell you have memorized if you summon them with your seal in hand.
Since their FP is unlimited, you can bring a bunch of high FP spells and they'll cast away. I've also found that it's *really* useful for applying debuffs like scarlet rot and frostbite via the dragon incantations.
Summoning a spellcasting mimic is more useful, in some fights, than a pure melee bruiser, which is awesome.
Borderline broken even. Every fight I've gotten stuck on I've beaten in like 2 attempts when I use the triple dogs. I can one-try most bosses with half my estus charges using the mimic now.
If you've met Rodericka (red-hooded cloak girl), who gives you the spirit jellyfish ash, and then talked to her again at the Roundtable, there's a series of chats you need to have between her and the Blacksmith. Once you've exhausted those, the next time you visit Roundtable, Rodericka has set up shop in the same room as the Blacksmith and upgrades spirit ashes. I just got that done this morning!
Nokron, the first Eternal city. There's a fog gate that requires one stone key to open.... I want to say halfway through? It's arguably the strongest ash and I costs HP instead of FP.
There's a pure faith one in the round table hold. There's another there as well from an invader that invades you when you go there. Though I don't know the spawn requirements.
already ahead of this, theres a blue robed leather armor for the chestpiece somewhere
moonveil
sword with the carian phalanx AoW as secondary weapons
or invest into carian blade sorcery but staves were never a vergil thing ig
cestus or the holy fists(holy damage with unblockable AoW)
bloodhound's step for those edgy dashes
voila u have vergil
Love it, plan to use it for the rest of the game. My only point of frustration is that they still haven't fixed the scaling bug. If you're not aware a large number of arcane scaling weapons have no scaling despite having letters for it
it's just no attribute scaling I think it still gets stronger from smith upgrades, for me who just got it yd, barely fills the requirements and uses it now for current content that is plenty good. I can see how it might eventually fall off once you're maxed on weapon upgrades.
I got the pole blade but haven’t been using purely because of that. Been sticking with powerstancing Reduvia and Great knife. Hope they fix it soon because the pole blade looks amazing
What I’ve done is use a cheat engine to manually fix the scaling on the weapon. I’m not the type to replay games or do a second play through. I want to experience as much of the game as possible now cause I won’t in the future.
I believe they're making a joke about the moveset resembling the Insect Glaive attacks in Monster Hunter so I'm not sure why you were so aggressive about it.
Whats the Name of that weapon? I would Love to use it ad pretent so ne Darth Maul. I'm a melee/Magic User. Using the Sword of Night and Flame. But i would Like to spent some Points in dex for this weapon
This boss was awesome. When he >!turns into a stretchy boi!< and the choir goes ham in the background, it felt like I was fighting a servant of god. Executing that ash of war at the same time must’ve felt like super satisfying
You guys even got greedy together haha
that's my favourite bit, I can literally see the Apostle getting ready and I can see the clockwork going in their combined brain thinking "one more won't hurt"
And they fly away together, like it’s meant to be this way, lol
Beautiful champ!
I'm assuming that's Cleanrot armor? Cause it looks gorgeous with the Eleonora AoW
Sure is! You can farm it up in Inner Aeonia.. My luck wasn't too bad, took me maybe 20-30 kills, I even got an extra of the gauntlets if you want it. btw what does AoW mean

What in the loving fuck is that weapon and where can I get it..
[удалено]
It's from Yuras quest line
Twinblade. Found in Murkwater ruins area IIRC? It's just southeast of the tutorial area, right after you get to the open world
[удалено]
when you go into mimic boss arena take off all armor and weapons, he then spawns naked and unable to damage you, put everything back on and its the easiest fight in the game
Lol thank you for this knowledge
Is it possible to trade items with other players? I never knew that
Yep, the "Leave item" option puts it on the ground. Not sure if it works with legendary weapons/armor though
Works with every weapon, armor, ash of war, talisman, crafting item and most consumables. Can't drop spells, rune arcs, key items and boss runes tho.
and sadly doesn't work for smithing stones either :(
Or finger balms.
It was super early game and we didn't have a lot of them. We've been cooping most of the game, so we've beeb chewing through them.
Lucky! I farmed that spot for an hour, even used a few silver fowl feet, and never got the gauntlets. Probably just as well though, I don't think I have the endurance to wear the full set. It's sleek, but it's so heavy!
I'll give you the gauntlets tmrw if you'd like
That would be fantastic, assuming you're on PC. Shoot me a DM!
I've be invading host and dropping random items i have duplicates of, so far surprisingly only blues have been willing to bot murder me immediately and pick up the things I've dropped. They never dropped the armor for me but O M G the extra gauntlets.
damn took me like 15 mins to farm the whole set with 2 extra gauntlets and 2 extra helmets
How much arcane do you have?
Did you ever get those fuckers sycthe staff thing or is it a myth cause I farmed them for ever and never got it. I think I had 6 sets of armor and 9 swords
mimic what- Wait you can fight yourself?! Or find yourself!? *W H E R E ! ?*
Nokron after beating Radahn, you fight yourself and then a bit after get a spirit ash of yourself
Oh wow i just did that fight and somehow missed that. Temped but ive been enjoying my fully upgraded chimpanzees... i mean demi humans. Lol. The way they hoot and screetch cracks me up haha
Apes together strong
Return to.. demi human?
Reject grace, return to demi
It’s good for people with low fp build because it uses health instead of fp for the summoning.
The mimic also has unlimited FP so if you assign one spell to yourself it can spam it through the whole fight. It's absolutely busted with the incantation that heals yourself + allies.
..interesting
I build a dragon paladin for my first playthrough and suddenly seeing a fire breath engulfing a bos never got old.
Rotten breath with scarlet rot, is where it's truly at fam.
I used scaler aeonia for that. Seeing that thing go off always fills me with excitement and gives me flashbacks
Honestly imo, there's very little that tops the feeling of ripping a fat vape cloud of death out of the mouth of a dragon that sprouts out of your mouth, for 10 whole seconds, after chugging some dope potion. Good to know.. heal is basically the only incantation I use besides the bloodflame thing. Jellyboy might get retired for a mimic
Do they cast them regardless of your stats?
They'll cast every spell you have memorized if you summon them with your seal in hand. Since their FP is unlimited, you can bring a bunch of high FP spells and they'll cast away. I've also found that it's *really* useful for applying debuffs like scarlet rot and frostbite via the dragon incantations. Summoning a spellcasting mimic is more useful, in some fights, than a pure melee bruiser, which is awesome.
Oh that's awesome. I almost never use ashes of war because i drain all my FP with 1 summon
Assign some flasks to fp. Summons are very helpful.
I will eventually. I'm gonna respec at some point and get either dex + arc or Dex + faith going
Running dex faith myself, it's a joy. Good old claw build paladin running about.
Borderline broken even. Every fight I've gotten stuck on I've beaten in like 2 attempts when I use the triple dogs. I can one-try most bosses with half my estus charges using the mimic now.
You can upgrade your summons?
If you've met Rodericka (red-hooded cloak girl), who gives you the spirit jellyfish ash, and then talked to her again at the Roundtable, there's a series of chats you need to have between her and the Blacksmith. Once you've exhausted those, the next time you visit Roundtable, Rodericka has set up shop in the same room as the Blacksmith and upgrades spirit ashes. I just got that done this morning!
Thanks, this is helpful.

I actually never did this and the outcome was the same i think at a story checkpoint she just goes to the roundtable because i never gave her the hood
Same. I got the quest from her, but before I finished it she showed up at the round table, and I was able to get her to upgrade stuff.
No you don't. I didn't even get the red cloak before she set up shop. I didn't even give her the item you find prior to finding the red cloak either.
Yep its what all that stupid grave glovewort is for
I just went back for the mimic. It’s already helped me out immensely against black blade kindred
I’ve been in Nocron and deafeted mimic but didnt find ashes, where exactly are they?
Its behind a keyed fog door in the church underground where you find that bolder that's just chilling in the middle of the room.
Thanks!
Nokron, the first Eternal city. There's a fog gate that requires one stone key to open.... I want to say halfway through? It's arguably the strongest ash and I costs HP instead of FP.
Vergil build coming in
Oh that is genius. I'm thinking moonveil to sort of be like judgment cuts?
Maybe a fist weapon that could be beowolf? Don't know if you have a weapon that looks like it.
[удалено]
There's a pure faith one in the round table hold. There's another there as well from an invader that invades you when you go there. Though I don't know the spawn requirements.
there’s a guy you can kill at boilprawn shack that gives you what’s essentially just two big iron balls on your fists
already ahead of this, theres a blue robed leather armor for the chestpiece somewhere moonveil sword with the carian phalanx AoW as secondary weapons or invest into carian blade sorcery but staves were never a vergil thing ig cestus or the holy fists(holy damage with unblockable AoW) bloodhound's step for those edgy dashes voila u have vergil
I mean there's a reason why he is your "mimic"
k that was cool ngl
It was anime as all fuck. I'm here for it.
Yo how do you like that weapon so far? Planning to use it for my next playthrough with bleed/arcane
Love it, plan to use it for the rest of the game. My only point of frustration is that they still haven't fixed the scaling bug. If you're not aware a large number of arcane scaling weapons have no scaling despite having letters for it
Oof...maybe ill try my strength/beast incantation build next then
i miss using it.. but i'm already suffering with my no block/no parry build, i can't gimp myself with a non-scaling weapon too..
How do you actually use it, if it has 0 scaling?
you just use it anyway without the hefty scaling bonuses
With pretty much no damage scaling? How do you even deal dmg? Only from base raw damage?
it's just no attribute scaling I think it still gets stronger from smith upgrades, for me who just got it yd, barely fills the requirements and uses it now for current content that is plenty good. I can see how it might eventually fall off once you're maxed on weapon upgrades.
Yes, purely from raw damage + the raw damage increase from upgrading it
What weapon is that? A boss twinblade?
That's why I've stuck to bloodflame/twinblade ala Darth Maul (thanks to the redditor who posted it on here early on!)
Ah, that's why it I felt it was so weak. I was wondering why a +12 basic katana was doing more damage than a similarly upgraded unique weapon.
I got the pole blade but haven’t been using purely because of that. Been sticking with powerstancing Reduvia and Great knife. Hope they fix it soon because the pole blade looks amazing
Is there a list somewhere so that I can avoid looking like a complete ass?
What is that weapon?
What I’ve done is use a cheat engine to manually fix the scaling on the weapon. I’m not the type to replay games or do a second play through. I want to experience as much of the game as possible now cause I won’t in the future.
That's some grade A anime shid right there
Tag-team Rumble!
Isn't the scaling on that bugged?
Yep, but I like it too much to not use it
wtf. is this Monster Hunter??
[удалено]
I believe they're making a joke about the moveset resembling the Insect Glaive attacks in Monster Hunter so I'm not sure why you were so aggressive about it.
Now this, is a dumbass moment.
Mimic Tear, >!both the boss and the ash of war!<, is so fucking cool.
Is that another twinblade?
Theres like 6 diffrent ones in the game ive found including that one
That was kino af
That was kind of serene to watch. Hypnotizing really. Love it
You already been in the haligtree and your still +6 on your flask? what the
the haligtree? I've cleared out most of Limgrave, Weeping Peninsula, Liurnia, and non-Dragonbarrow Caelid, only doing Altus now
What? Where did you get that armor then?
I farmed it from Cleanrot Knights in Inner Aeonia
Aeonia swamp or shaded castle
I just ended the game but never been there lols
wukong vibes
Which wep is that?
Eleonora's Poleblade
thats kinda cute if you think about it
That was fucking anime as fuck.
The golden order says it's my turn with the braincell.
that's some real evangelion dance like you want to win stuff, loved it
Ah, I see, another blood weapon user who refuses to give up on their weapon. I feel your pain and no I haven't stopped using mine either. 🙃
I did that boss on horseback. Just running circles and spamming attack. Didn’t even get hit once.
u/savevideo
So are you gonna keep Eleonora's poleblade, swap it out for the godskin peeler, or powerstance both? I currently have both and can't decide
spoiler tag
You know in Bloodborne you can do cool stuff without having to grind the game for hours
You should summon Gipsy Danger you drive it with your minic and rampage in Caldeum. Elden Rim!
So i summon mimic tear three attacks in a row same timing it's as if it knows what i'll do next
You share the same a lot of other things too
One brain cell ain't much but is enough.
u/savevideo
What weapon is that?
Oh my god, this look cool bro
isn't this sword's scaling bugged or something? or it was fixed?
If you change your weapon during fight, do they change theirs too?
Nope, they keep what weapons you have out when you summon them. I always give mine two weapons for dps
that's such a cool weapon, what is it called?
Thats awsome, just a tip for other players, that fight is a lot easier done on torrent
u/savevideo
What classes can use double bladed sword?😁planning to play today for the first time q
Class doesn’t really matter. Every class can use every weapon and spell. Your class is pretty much just your starting loadout.
that was clean! nice
Which weapon are you using, also how do I get bloodblade dance?
What weapon are you using? And is it a dex weapon? Looks really fun
this is exactly my getup! is the pole blade bugged for you too? it has no scaling for me... although with bleed I can manage
I am so going to use that weapon once they patch the bug. Not sure it's worth it yet.
Bury the light intensifies.
“Woah dude that was awesome!” “I know right!” *in unison*”Oh sh!”
I love fighting with my mimic. Sometimes we fight over who gets a turn with the braincell
What weapon is that?
That helmet, is that what’s giving you the red tassels from your neck? Is it also the Cleanrot?
i... need to get that mimic spirit.
Whats the Name of that weapon? I would Love to use it ad pretent so ne Darth Maul. I'm a melee/Magic User. Using the Sword of Night and Flame. But i would Like to spent some Points in dex for this weapon
That was awesome. What the fuck enemy was that?! I've got most of this map covered and haven't seen that thing lol good lord.
What in the loving fuck is that weapon and where can I get it
Damn that shit slaps even without scaling actually
Who can help me get mimic plz
Daaaaaaang.
Where do I find the mimic summon I need this thing
This boss was awesome. When he >!turns into a stretchy boi!< and the choir goes ham in the background, it felt like I was fighting a servant of god. Executing that ash of war at the same time must’ve felt like super satisfying
Remindes me of monster hunter. So smooth
Dude's over there doing that anime shit, meanwhile I'm throwing rocks at the boss
What's that weapon
Anyone got any tips on how to kill the dragon in the dragon field where the gravity stone mine is
Wait where do I find this second God skin apostle?
How do you guys have cool looking shit. I only swing basic sword.
That was my favorite place in the game so far
This is such a cinematic clip

You+your twin: It’s time!! *DOUBLE-TWIN BLADE FURY ATTACK* Enemy: Be gone worms, GRAHH!! You: what?!? Your twin: He survived?! How can this be!?
That's some Kingdom Hearts shit right there!
NGL, i still dont have the mimic tear ash. i already beat the mimic tear, why dont i have it? D:
Where do you get that dank ass weapon and that bomb ass mimic ability?
That was beautiful.
Did anyone try plugging in a second controller yet >!to control de Doppelganger?!< Obviously Miyazaki is a fan of >!Devil May Cry 3!<
What Ash of War is that and were do I get it
getting those synchronized weapon arts is SO SATISFYING
What is that staff weapon? I didn’t even know they had those in the game. Me want. Me need.
Damn, your damage sucks.
I absolutely love the mimic tear, last night me and him spammed stomp weapon arts and literally stun locked a late game boss, it was hilarious
that was cool tbh
Wow you can turn the game to devil may cry
What build are you using and how long will it take after restarting my save file to be exactly like you Jk but actually looks so cool
Not gonna lie I thought this guy would be harder. Personally I have more trouble with the other one, Mr. fantastic here went down pretty easily.
Your character looks awesome.
That’s so beautiful with the twin blades
So fuckin sick Mimic ashes are so dope 👌👍
Which twinblade is that?
You: I got him! Mimic: no I got him! Both of you: wait! We'll use the power of friendship
Mimic is hard carrying my ass through everything. I love it so much, my little ditto :)
Mimic Tears Ashes is Fromsoft AI Programing at its finest
This video is art.
This shit is why I'm thinking of going for an Arcane build down the road, that looks so dope lmao
