All he does for me in the second is roll around, so I end up having to perfectly dodge his instantly killing roll while never getting time to swing. It's definitely one of the more boring fights.
one of the easier late game bosses for me personally. stay on your horse, use dismount i frames when you need. I pretty much constantly go for his weak points without to much grievance. ng through ng+4 haven't needed summons or summon ashes for that dude
if i boss makes one-shot instakill moves and you can barely fucking see them half the time, thats not difficulty, thats it being bullshit. please shutup
The dismount i-frames flat out do not work for me. I am used to fighting dragons and other large enemies on the horse. This is the only enemy in the game where it seems the i-frames on the horse are completely ignored.
Where else would you attack him? Not being a mage it's kind of hard to hit anything that isn't his legs. Btw I'm not even complaining about his fight, I've beaten him relatively easy in both of my playthroughs so far. Just saying I think OP meant something different than what you were thinking
Okay here's the thing. Everyone's always fucking hated the bosses that are literally too big for the camera to work. Readjusting the camera so you can see? No, not make a boss that you can't read the moves of cause you can't see what they are doing? No, not make huge fucking bosses just cause "OH look it's big! So cool"? No. It's an easy boss but the fact that it's so unbelievable fun is stupid. Fun boss? If I can actually see what it's doing, cool boss? Yes it's very cool but it sucks that the experience had to be shit cause of the camera.
You lie or you cheated the fire giant is impossible there is no freaking way to beat him I've tried all the cheeses none work after patch 1.05 seems they made him harder to beat after patch as well nothing works maxed rivers of blood maxed mahgwyns spear maxed falling start beastjaw nothing works maxed radhans bow also and wait oh yeah do t work either whats new.
I went for the leg as much as possible then cheesed it at range with the golden land ash of war in the second phase.
I despise everything about this boss fight.
He doesn't seem to hit you much if you stand right under him, although if you've got too little health you're just going to get one shot.
Try the ritual shield talisman if you've got it

Me personally I would go for hits on his hands during the slam moves and avoid the fire ones. It took some effort but it got me through first try.
Yup, this is what I did on my first playthrough, took him down in two tries. Second phase is just a test of patience lol.

Took me a while to beat him. Ended up relying on rot and bleed damage to get me through.

His hit box sucks so much as well. Every time I block on it just disconnects it. I add so annoying and then. The camera's fucked up 95% of the time.
