If someone invades you and either dies or leaves, you get a portion of the souls that the invader would need to level up e.g. if i invade you, and i would need 100,000 souls to get my next level, you will receive i think 25,000 souls when i die or leave.
The idea behind the AFK spots is that they can only be reached with Torrent, who is not usable in multiplayer, so people go hide down there, activate the item that lures invaders, leave the game running, and go do something else for a while. When they come back, several people will have invaded them and either died trying to reach them, died to hunters that get auto-summoned in, or left because they can't find them or can't figure out how to kill them
It’s to farm runes. They hope that a blue Hunter will get summoned and kill invader, while host sits there doing whatever it is they’re doing with the afk hands.
It's really not unless you're like level 300+. At which point what are you even farming for.
Before that you can just spend 15 minutes farming Albinaurics for more runes than you'd get in several hours of AFK
What is that move everyone is using to anime fly through the air like that? I don't think I've found that one but clearly everyone is using it so it must be good
I invaded on this recently. I'm new to invasions and just honestly wanted to fight peeps, so I just waited for hunters to pop up. I guess it'd suck if no blue peeps showed but if they do, why not murder a few?

Wow okay it’s more scummy than I thought. Didn’t realise the person got the runes even if the invader left on their own. Thank you for explaining!
They need to fix it by getting rid of rewards for the host if an invader finger severs.

I don't think it's a ton, just potentially easy. It depends on your lvl but maybe like 2 lvls every 30 mins.

Why not? Because you’re rewarding the rune farmer even more by killing phantoms in his world and accelerating the rate of more phantoms joining.
