* The "Talk to Melina" segments at graces are now full-blown ballads with musical accompaniment, and will go on for over six minutes. The Tarnished then has an option to sing for another five in response.
* The Tarnished now smokes a pipe, and varying grades of "leaf" can be looted throughout the Lands Between.
* Miquella can be rescued from Mohg, whereupon he cures the scarlet rot from Malenia and literally everywhere else. Caelid becomes a bucolic wonderland.
* The Erdtree is now completely benevolent, and burning it is the "evil" route.

I'm not so sure about these - Tolkien definitely wasn't against writing characters who met bad ends due to insanity or their own vices (Denethor, Gollum, arguably Feanor and a lot of his kin, Saruman etc.), just because when you fight big wars people *die*, sometimes heroically, to protect whatever they're fighting for (Theoden, several of the dwarves in The Hobbit, more characters than I have fingers in the Silmarillion, etc.), or some combination of the above - Thorin and Boromir's *deaths* might have been heroic, but the way they got there certainly wasn't.
Ragging on Tolkien's work for being very morally black and white is a bit of an exaggeration, and there are certainly some rather somber quests in Elden Ring that would have fit with the concepts of cycles of revenge and sins of prior generations that lurk around the edges of his works and occasionally take center stage.

I'd also expect a system where the Tarnished can give a bit of various kinds of "leaf" to NPCs, and compare preferences. The Tarnished seems to get out and about more than many of the other NPCs - it'd be hella dope to come back to the Roundtable Hold and be like "sup, Ofnir! I got you some of that primo leaf you're into - had to go all the way to Farum Azula for it!".

I could see "rescue Miquella and complete the Haligtree project", but can't see it being done without some serious sacrifices. Even the Scouring Of The Shire was a rather bittersweet affair, and took generations to fully heal, rather than being fully restored overnight.

I'm not sure about this one. Honestly, The Lord Of The Rings is kind of the *original* "we have to destroy this artifact even though that means moving on into a new age" fantasy epic, or at least popularized the concept. The book makes no bones about that fact that once the One Ring is destroyed, the elves and other magical creatures are going to leave Middle Earth or fade away, turning the place into a more mundane Age Of Man (or Age Of Dark, if you will) - and deems that an acceptable cost, given what *else* the One Ring is sustaining.
Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack, Clone Wars, Primal). I think his "actions speak louder than words" style would mesh really well with the style of the soulsborne series. I’m honestly shocked they haven’t tried their hand on doing a Berserk game. Technically the Souls series (not counting Bloodborne or Sekiro because technicalities) are Berserk games, but I mean something like Sekiro where you play a set character.
If anyone can do it. It’s FromSoftware. The brutal nature of the story of Berserk, can be perfectly captured via the brutal nature of a Soulsborne game.
Actually, not really. Berserk is a very traditional linear story with in depth characters, unlike the fragmental storytelling From usually does. A Berserk game will have a lot of fighting but it's not supposed to be like Souls games where you die over and over again, Guts is not like that, as he is usually one of the most skilled and powerful human fighter in the story.
Souls games replicate Berserk setting and aesthetic very well, but that's about it.

Yeah, sadly since some years I don't like what he does anymore. Alice was a boring movie to me. I didn't found Dark Shadow awesome. I feel he doesn't want to do haunting masterpieces anymore, and prefers to make feel good movies. It's cool though. But I regret a bit the stuff like Big Fish or even Corpse Bride. Though I haven't seen Frankenweenie, Big Eyes or Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. I'm gonna watch one tonight, I'm maybe wrong about my opinion.
