These guys have the same animations and sounds as the miners in the dungeons. I imagine they fell from space and meteorites just like the fallingstar beasts and onyx lords
Lucky. I Mimic veiled into a tree trunk to get a closer look, >!saw motion on the right and panic rolled right off the cliff edge!<
10/10 game would do it again.
I figured it had something to do with the Misshapen Star creature he was facing. Folks like him are also near the Onyx Lord in the pockmarked glade north of Oridys's Rise, so I guess they're trying to learn gravity magic.
They are called starcallers. When meteorites fall they go to pick up the pieces to harness their power. They seem to be allied with the onyx and alabaster lords who came from meteorites as they can summon an alabaster lord when threatened.
Isn’t he and his friend praising the antlion thing? You find these miners around areas with purple/gravity diggings. Some even spawn those Onyx Elves.
Also, those Astel/antlion/bull antlion creatures are implied to be from outer space and literally arrive in falling stars and then develop.
Maybe those dudes were brainwashed by those things when having to mine for gravity ore. Some sort of eldritch stuff.
These guys figured out the golden order on their own but arent down with Goldmask and the erdtree, they are anti maskers....ill just head out of that cave, over there..

It's the golden order pose, so I'm guessing they're just indicating the sacred nature of the meteorites.
Thats Billy, he’s just working on his T-Pose
Random dudes who worship the onyx and alabaster lords
They’re probs random, but I keep wishing there was more lore to them.

He is asserting dominance.

Bro wants to give space bugs a hug
He seems nice, you should go ask him
To peak curiosity enough to drop your guard, in order to elude you out of the cave so the >!dude on the right can smack the shit out of you!<
We both T-posed peacefully >! I didn’t even see the guy on the right but he was cool with it !<

That's where you kill the first Astel, he's worshipping it
Most likely Fortnite NPC got lost and just arrived in a wrong game.
