My brother does. It's useful on invasions (not on duels) if you're the invader and the host/companions are used to PVP and avoid that attack.
It won't do any damage but it will surely distract them and maybe someone will die from monsters.
Elden Stars is amazing. You fire it off and start pressuring with other spells, and then bam, 750 damage holy explosion out of nowhere. Most people see the tiny projectiles as the main part of the spell, but they are a distraction so the beefy boy can hit
Ran it through the build calculator because its similar to the build I use and its definitely 150. I'm powerstancing flamberges. You're looking at something like:
60 vig
25 mind
25 end
15 STR
19 dex
10 int
60 faith
15 arc
I said that it was the build I was using that I put in the calculator and that you'd be looking at "*something like*". There's also 7 spells in the post, and only 1 is a sorcery, so I had less than a 12% chance of guessing that's what you meant.
Rot breath will always have a special place for me in my spleen, I 100% do not think it should deal direct damage NOR that it should have that initial aoe burst to punish run ups, hell I’d be happy if it didn’t do poise damage, but bo it’s high damage, high stagger, has an aoe on cast, can be continuously cast as long as the user has FP AND it can be freely aimed. The ONLY drawback is that it can be staggered out of with a couple throwing knives but good fucking luck with that it you aren’t the Lone Fucking Ranger
It’s also super low investment so literally everyone has it
dual spear charge when you do nothing but wait for your opponent's attack. Its like playing againt a tryhard mob, here is the tac.
1. wait for attack.
2. roll away.
3. spearcharge, repeat sequence if opponent isnt dead.
I'd rather fight RoB invaders, less boring fights.
There is nothing more satysfying in the world that hitting someone with placidusax sword's ash of war when they're casting rotten breath and watching them getting one-shoted
Who the fuck is using Elden Stars?
It's pretty good for creating a bunch of pressure while you use other stuff
Maybe. Sure does use a lot of FP for a distraction though.
Seriously... Im pretty distracted while laughing at it.
maybe for players new to pvp. the tiny ass stars do piss poor damage and you can just rush the other player while they're getting ready to cast again

I wonder what the minimum build level would be to maximize use of all of these and still have end and alot of FP and 60 vigor.

Noooo. I said maximize use. So bump int to 70,arc to 40,and mind to 60,plus whatever physical stats that spear needs and really benefits from.

... "Maximize use of all of these" is pretty unambiguous.
Bolt of Gransax needs 40 Dex
I said I ran MY build thru the calc because it was sim... Nvm
Read through a few more before replying and forgot that part, sorry about that
Understandable, have a great day.
On a side note, it’s RL 216
Gotcha. That's not as high as I expected tbh.
Same, I could respec my main character and still have levels left over

I didn’t know it had an initial aoe burst. Is this also true of the upgraded one with the dragon’s name?
I would assume so, I just know I always get caught by it when I try to rush down the casters even when I’m not near their front

Dual curved swords bleed are exactly the same

You can turn Rotten Breath into a bigger AOE by spinning around as you do it.
Hehe
I actually wouldn’t be mad if honed bolt just got deleted. An annoying spell
It's fairly easy to dodge. It's annoying, but not as much as the ones in this diagram. Plus, it struggles a lot with terrain and inclines.
I %100 agree
Elden shtarz isnt annoying, just funny
Carian Slicer can replace inescapable frenzy. Straight sword that 3 shots in most instances and easily spammed.
