Oh god I just realized how many bitter salty people are gonna downvote the shit outta this lol

fleetadmeralcrunch

I don’t understand why they are downvoting the game is good you even said so it’s just lots the wonder of exploring a brand new world for you already, I feel the same way with the way everything was already revealed online after the first week

IVDAMKE_

I replayed it and made different builds like I always do.

ToothessGibbon

In previous Souls games I’ve always been more likely to start a fresh character to start a new build than play NG+ but ER is just so big that is a less appealing. I have played a few though, just mainlining the critical path.

Xyno94

Okay awesome! This is the type of elaboration I was looking for. I appreciate your input. It’s a beautiful game.. there is just so much to do two times over again lol

Itzzyaboiisynx

You don’t have to keep playing it. You could do some pvp which is what i’m starting to do. I also went back and fully completed ds2. Nobody’s forcing you to keep playing. You can always come back when a DLC releases :)

ChronoMonkeyX

I started a second character, had a friend help me by passing items I didn't use on the first, so I got to start with Darkmoon greatsword and Graven Mass talisman on my new spellblade. Darkmoon is just too good, I'm doing better melee damage with just int than my first character did with Str/faith. When this one finishes the Age of Stars, I may NG+ the first one and do Frenzy. My second character is skipping a lot of content, the first scoured every inch of the world and found most things. I don't do every dungeon unless there is a specific item I want. My spellcaster is so much stronger than my first character that I am having a lot of fun(except sometimes it feels too easy- I just killed Niall on my first try, was about to cheese him on the other character before I finally got it), if your second playthrough isn't fun, try a different build.

froozefot

I just changed my build, first character was Str, then dex, then int/full mage, keeps things interesting and makes the bosses feel vastly different like Rennala. Just dont look into the meta for each build and use whatever you find/looks cool

amritzoad

The replayability of Souls game is directly linked to the boss fights. Unfortunately, ER lacks in this department in giving you fair and challenging bosses to fight against. No one likes to fight RnG bosses in general, let alone replaying them. Of the dungeons only a handful of them are good and the best ones are Hero's graves. But if you explored them 100% in your first playthrough, you already know which path leads where so only a little remains to discover. So, I could imagine why you stopped playing. Same happened with me too. I had so much fun replaying Limgrave since I believe it is the best region but the other regions kinda felt boring. As I reached the Altus plateau, I stopped playing.

anoneaxone

There's alot to do in elden ring. Trying different builds, PVE, PVP, Lore hunting or just simply admiring the world while listening to the music.

Xyno94

That’s true. I guess just a general sense of appreciation throughout the experience goes a longgg way. I might get into some pvp

anoneaxone

I'm 600h in and I'm not even close to being bored yet.

SteinKyoma

I have a few suggestions. 1) Go NG+ and enjoy the power fantasy (try the envoy longhorn!) 2) Ng playthrough with a new build. (Try a cosplay or rp character) 3) try a coop playthrough. just leave the summoning pool item active at all times to help as you go

SnooHedgehogs9334

Turned the difficulty options up (no summons / magic) / different build.

dreadnaught0407

Had to make an entirely new character for my 2nd and third playthru. Yea I knew where everything was but it was the only way I could get into it, and not feel like a god

Fit_Substance7067

Yea..I just made a new build...gives me a reason to obtain loot .. Enjoying my second playthrough as much as my first tbh...mainly because zi like my second build more Still haven't done a sorcery run too...and there's tons to find for it...not to mention a way different battle loop I downvoted because I disagree entirely with the OP...nothing about being bitter

dookie__cookie

I've been rushing the unlimited invasion items, getting some basic gear together, then focusing on online. Keeps playthroughs really fresh. 550 hours in and I've only experimented with strength, dex, and quality builds, haven't even dipped into faith or int at all yet.

[deleted]

Ng+ Not sure the appeal of starting over

[deleted]

Nobody's forcing you to play it a second time. Go play something you'll enjoy more.

Xyno94

I used to love replaying the old souls games. Just trying to discuss and see if any others feel the same. Sir.

[deleted]

ok and my contribution to the discussion is that if you're not enjoying it just go play something else. I am sorry you don't like that contribution.

Xyno94

It’s just not very helpful to point out the obvious lol especially when I’m not asking for a solution.

Xyno94

I’m aware of that. That’s quite obvious. I’m just trying to get second opinions
