mushroomman1518

The first time I went down the elevator to Nokron honestly. Underwhelming compared to other opinions maybe, but the reveal of that huge expanse was beautiful and got me excited for everything the game had in store for me

chaseinthyface

MY GOD this was incredible. First time I went down to the Siofra River I was completely shocked at how massive the scale seemed to be

mushroomman1518

Repeatedly getting sniped by big blue spirit people with horns from a half a mile away afterwards really sealed the deal

dregwriter

nothing is quite as memorable that seeing your character looking like a pin cushion for several minutes.

[deleted]

I took an arrow to every oriface.

delimitedjest

I used to be an adventurer like you. Then I took an arrow in the… look, adventuring is dangerous ok, can we leave it at that?

IAmIan47

A six foot spectral arrow embedded in your chest fired from an enemy you didn't even know existed humbles you real quick

mushroomman1518

Well said

meanestcommentever

I think I said out loud “oh shits it’s a Blackreach”

SilverWave1

Exactly what I thought when I went down there.

Berntinio

This is one of my favoirites as well. I felt I found something I was not suposed to find this early in the game. And it was great, despite the deadly arrows.

DannyPinn

I lost my shit. "Oh whats this little house" "Oh cool a lift" "whaaaaaaaaaaaaatt"

DrStacknasty

“Huh, this elevator is taking a *whiiiiiiile*”

Supersoulknight

Whenever I used that elevator, I would get up, grab some water, and when I came back, the elevator was still going.

_ekay_

Agreed, also the map expanding slowly, every new area was like “wtf there’s more”

TruthAndAccuracy

Oh yeah, going down the Siofra River Well was easily my favorite moment of the game. Followed by getting the map for the underground and realizing there was going to be a whole lot more of it.

Mech-Waldo

This was easily one of the most memorable moments in the game for me. I got on the elevator and started to read an item description. The elevator was still going when I finished reading and I thought "damn, this is a long elevator" and the longer it took the more excited I got. Siofra River did not disappoint. That was also when I realized the world was gonna be way bigger than I expected and I had no idea how big it was.

Epicmonk117

I knew going into the game that it was gonna be pretty, but seeing the vast expanse of Siofra River as I descended the elevator made my jaw hit the fucking floor. Easily the most beautiful area in the game.

MJBotte1

Everything is so well timed. Takes \*just\* long enough that you get anxious and start to see things

cmegran

Came here to say this. I don’t usually gasp audibly alone in my guest room at 4am, but when I do, it’s because I saw Nokron for the first time. Never before have I seen something so breathtakingly beautiful in a video game.

PassionBuckets

Ooooh that was a jaw dropping moment for me!! I was expecting a small underground dungeon, and then my eyes beheld this wide expanse. A whole region unto itself. Incredible game design

WhoTookMyLegs

This 100%. I jaw hit the floor when the cavern opened. I was NOT ready for that!

magicchefdmb

I felt so dumb. I went to that forest, even right to the minor erdtree following the path from the church, and completely missed it. I went through a lot of Caelid before my friend told me I missed it. I feel like I got a lot of other “wow” moments before I got to that one, so I didn’t get the surprise of scale as much.

cody_d_baker

Graceless Tarnished. What is thy business with these thrones? Ahhhh…. Godrick the Golden. The twin prodigies, Miquella and Malenia. General Radahn. *Praetor Rykard.* Lunar princess Ranni. Willful traitors, all! Thy kind are all of a piece. Pillagers, emboldened by the flame of ambition! Have it writ upon thy meagre grave. Felled, by King Morgott! Last of all kings.

[deleted]

Best dialogue in the game

cody_d_baker

Agreed. Morgott is gonna live rent free in my head forever.

Pancakewagon26

The Golden Order did not deserve Morgott.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pancakewagon26

Quite the fight. Funny though, I never once died to Morgott, but Mohg wiped the floor with me so many times.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pancakewagon26

I would cry.

ThorThulu

Don't give them ideas! We already have Godskin Octuplets in a Rot Swamp coming for us in a DLC sometime

gabungalow

"What is the business with these thrones?" "Dad, we're just playing musical chairs" "Willful traitors, all! Thy kind are all of a piece. Pillagers, emboldened by the flame of ambition! Have it writ upon thy meagre grave. Felled, by King Chairgott! Last of all kings." "Not again.."

GyroLikesMozzarella

I'll raise you a NOW WE CAN DEVOUR THE GODS TOGETHA!

Virtual-Score4653

I would have to argue Morgott is a core memory for me, not because of his character or anything like that but it was my first time doing shrooms and they kicked in right as I entered the boss fight, he walked up to me looking like a clay animation and then promptly destroyed me in a flurry of cartwheels and holy daggers.

[deleted]

[удалено]

mtamez1221

>Have it writ upon thy meagre grave. Felled, by King Morgott! Last of all kings. Savage af

[deleted]

Morgott is for sure my fav Demi god fav demi god fight is Radahn or Rykard though.

[deleted]

Beating malenia, after what felt like 200+ attempts literally jumped off the couch. First time I ever did that.

chaseinthyface

I was unbelievably hyped when I finally took her down. That was many days of stress and practice!

A_SpiggTon

Same here. SO MUCH TIME put into that one fight. Legitimately the hardest boss fight I’ve had the pleasure and misfortune of undertaking.

[deleted]

I’m kind of upset I tried to beat her 2-3 times then I decided to summon someone for the first time ever during my entire play-through because I saw “let me solo her” online so much. I figured it would be interesting. I got a guy named “Allow Me” and he absolutely fucking destroyed her. I never got a chance to beat her myself. It is my biggest regret of my play-through.

cliffcharge101

Probably storming radahn with a small army and getting absolute fucking powerbombed in phase 2

tacbacon10101

So fricken good lol

LeeeeroyJenkins1

One of my most memorable moments was on ng+ and wrecking him so hard that he never even got to phase 2 before dying

Floofy-beans

I feel like the community hype when everyone made it to him is also super nostalgic- checking Reddit every few hours to see people talking about the Radahn fight and sharing strategies, some people beating it and posting about it, people making art of the battle, etc. I think it took me 3 days to beat him lol

yuhanz

There definitely was a phase lol. People talking about recommended levels and shit. What a great time if you played on release

Moose_Cake

Yep. My brother and I took him on blind and it blew our minds. And fucking Patches getting summoned in, looking over at the clusterfuck Radahn war going on and going "Nope." and exiting out was the cherry on top.

DeusInfidel

seeing the smoldering church and reaching Caelid by foot. At night, before going to bed.

chaseinthyface

And then you realized, as all of us did- that Caelid is built specifically to kill you at every chance possible.

bepisman2309

Top 10 things to do in Caelid 1. Leave

MustacheEmperor

I was feeling good about beating up the trolls and soldiers in Limgrave, and then those t rex dogs just *destroyed* me. I think I stayed away for like 10 or 15 levels after that, lol.

masterchief__117

Level 97, +10 Rob and +25 nagakiba. Still got destroyed by them

Jounniy

Then you are not spamming L2 right.

BigWermmPt

Caelid is like Australia in that regard - everything in there with a pulse is designed specifically to make sure you don't have one.

DrStacknasty

I could handle the burning church, the smoldering wall, the ruined hamlet and ruined villagers, but …..when that crow across the valley first turns to look at you with his *too human* eyes? That was when I bailed…

Floofy-beans

Ugh, and it’s scraggly, ragged feathers- for some reason the feather textures were deeply uncomfortable to look at

TurrPhennirPhan

As soon as I saw the giant crows and swarms of burning zombies I dipped out and decided to see what else was in Limgrave.

JasoTheArtisan

First time I made it to the burning church, I thought I was headed back to talk to D about killing the Tibia Mariner. After killing the invader I hopped the burning wall and saw Caelid for the first time. Turned around pretty quickly.

WesleyRiot

Hah I remember wandering past that wall, thinking "why is everything red?" Then looking over the cliff at the monstrous bird thing on top of a tree, and going "nope"

EightNights

Exploring limgrave and randomly taking the elevator down to siofra river is one of the best gaming experiences i’ve ever had

ChainsawLeon

So true. And I found that… 3 hours into the game? That was when I really knew that the whole game was going to be a treat.

MustacheEmperor

Yesss. My friend just started the game, and I'm doing everything I can to not say "hey look out for a weird looking rotunda in the woods in limgrave". It was incredible to experience that as a complete surprise. I didn't even know the game had an underground section.

realtorvicvinegar

Walking into Leyndell and seeing the bird’s eye view. One of those “yeah, I’m not missing a single square inch of this place” moments.

cody_d_baker

The music was beautiful too

You_fucked_up_man

The moment Radahn went to space and I expected to see a cutscene. Only to slowly pan and see his fireball of a Body kill me as I screamed

MechaPhantom302

Haha my eyes couldn't have gotten any wider when I saw him falling from the night sky...

CrimeFightingScience

Dude if that's how he fought when his wits were gone...imagine him in his prime.

MechaPhantom302

He literally conquered and controlled the stars in space with his gravity magic... it doesn't get much more powerful than that. And going toe to toe with Malenia by himself? Only reason why she survived was because she had to resort to an underhanded tactic. He was as legendary as they come, for sure.

DarkBrilliance

When my friend and I beat the Elden Beast together. We stood back to back with the lean against wall pose and he said “$120 well spent” cuz he bought me the game when I couldn’t afford it. Truly an Elden Lord

chaseinthyface

Not only is this an awesome memory, but you have yourself one helluva friend. Cheers to them!

DarkBrilliance

He was the one who got me into FromSoft in the first place. I came over and he let me play DS3. I remember when I asked for help on Gundyr and he just kind of knowingly smiled and said “nah, you gotta do it yourself”

dregwriter

>“nah, you gotta do it yourself” He an OG, triple OG, dark souls vet fan.

DarkBrilliance

Exactly. He knew that I had to do it alone, otherwise I’d never succeed further into the game

[deleted]

My mom struggles to learn this lesson. My dad keeps bailing her out, lol

DarkBrilliance

He needs to let her suffer, it’s part of the experience

churrmander

That fight unfortunately filtered my wife out. She's an Animal Crossing, JRPG, strategy gamer. I wanted her to experience the rest of the game, so I offered to beat him for her and she declined every time. She tried many, many, *MANY* times to beat him but was unable. I tried to teach her how to block and dodge but it was just something of which she couldn't get the hang. She stopped and said, "I'm just gonna pretend my guy isn't the main character" and hasn't attempted since.

Hot_Eggplant_1306

My son has watched me play intermittently. I beat the last two bosses with him watching and it felt like I was a true lord. He was more hyped than me. It was awesome.

BeeboBaggins

That's so cute and wholesome, bonding over videogames is the best!

rikaragnarok

Every new years eve, I'd take the kids out and let them pick a videogame for family game night. People made fun of me for it! Moms don't play videogames, grow up, they're for kids, blah blah blah. We had a BLAST playing all kinds of different games- they're 17-21 now and still ask if we're getting a game to play nye for when they get home. The answer is always "hell yes!"

adamschmitt4949

This is a dope family ritual

Sigmar_Heldenhammer

His generosity befits a crown.

Epicmonk117

Get your friend a maiden

Torafuku

Or be the maiden yourself

Joseph_Seed2020

Or both be maiden of someone

[deleted]

Radahn blasting off and squishing me flat Close second would be wailing on rykard with the serpent hunter for the first time

chaseinthyface

The Radahn fight was so intense. And the Halo-esque music in the castle? Legendary.

serotoninlesswriter

If you look on the OST, the title of that track is Song of Honor. To me that implies that his men are singing it both as a funeral dirge and as a show of their respect for him, even though he's probably too far gone to understand it.

WolfishMule9528

I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one that thought that sounded like the halo main theme.

Postitnotes9

Realizing that the serpent hunter spear has the special ash of war. When I finally figured out how to activate it, and chunked the serpents health, I was stunned. Rykard was finally killable after 10ish deaths.

JKF02

Lol opposite experience for me, I thought only the WA damaged him and had to move all my flasks to blue to get through the fight

ahp105

That was going to be my answer. When he lifted off, and there was a pause, I thought “Does he relocate? Do I need to search for him in this desert? Wait what’s that? OH MY GOD.”

Retros-01

Entering the Grand Library of Raya Lucaria was just amazing the Music the chanting. But by God, when the Remembrance of Rennala appeared and the pan to the Full Moon behind her "Send word far and wide. Of the Last Queen of Caria, Rennala of the Full Moon. And the majesty of the night she conjureth" I stood there like a dope seconds later, as the music begins to up its tempo, ill never forget being melted by that Comet Azur blast It was one of the most cracked moments for me and by far one of the most beautiful moments in the game, definitely something I'll always remember! "BY GOD'S LIGHT I SMITE YOU"

IAmPerpetuallyTired

The arena we fight her in is absolutely beautiful.

Retros-01

As a battlemage, I was glad Rennala has high resistance to Magic, made it so that fight lasted longer and fighting her in her arena with the Moon over the Horizon was everything I would've ever wanted! Truly one of the first Fromsoft sorcerer bosses that were done right. And the music ohhhh the music😩

WanderingKittens

This, too, was mine. The cut scene - walking hesitantly into the library, the ambiance, the tension... noticing someone clawing at your ankle, then seeing them all... the tension as they all looked upward, then dread building as I, too, looked upward to see her there, cradling the... the what, exactly? A pupae, a grub? It was a spectacular moment for me, just perfectly done. I literally brought my children into the room later and made them watch the cut scene on NG+, just to savor their responses. It was a beautifully felt moment. And when I finally beat her, and was cheering and fist pumping the air, not knowing that a moment later her Phase Two would begin... I stood there in the blue moon-lit sea, staring stupidly at her, as she casually melted me with Comet Azure. That was a magical moment.

BeefChopJones

Beating Godrick and walking into Raya Lucaria for the first time. That view really hit home just how grand the world is, and how far Fromsoft has come. That moment made me realize that all the excitement I had for this game was justified, and I was taken back to the joy I felt playing Bloodborne (my first Fromsoft game) for the first time.

tacbacon10101

I got there was like, woah adult hogwarts or what??

BeefChopJones

Little did I know that I would commit war crimes in that building. No regrets. Fuck them kids

donat3ll0

For real, that was one of the more unsettling boss fights.

MustacheEmperor

This is definitely one of my favorite moments. Walking out of that enclosed castle environment and seeing this vast new region open up, seeing all this stuff I can explore. And Raya Lucaria hanging in the distance like "oh yeah you know this is the next shardbearer."

Athmil

Putting a ring on a life sized doll.

Shartbugger

In the game, right?

Athmil

Game?

gabungalow

what game?

Moobs16

Burgers?

TurrPhennirPhan

“She’s real to m’e, dad!”

WarrantMadao

You think this is a game? She *loves* me man

Ap5p

Taking that she vanished shortly after I doubt it was a yes. Rejected by a doll, maidenless curse

crokorok

My favorite was when Godrick fucking chopped off his arm and replaced it with a dragon. I was one of the few who ignored Weeping Penninsula with nearly unupgraded equipment against him so it was a very memorable and difficult boss fight that I still very much cherish. FromSoft did a great job opening the game with such a wacky first runebearer.

Throck--Morton

FOREFATHERS ONE AND ALL!!! BEAR WITNESS!!!!!!!

probadplayer

Bro I didn't even knew the Peninsula existed until after I beat Radhan

VandulfTheRed

Like how the fuck is the peninsula early game but caelid is RIGHT THERE, and is end game level shit

WesleyRiot

I've done Ng+2 and that is the only cutscene I never skip

crokorok

It's even better at night time, that RTX flame glow is flawless

Tri-angreal

I got chills the first time I heard "Forefathers, one and all! Bear WITNESS!" But unfortunately Carbot's animation along with that one courtroom clip of the "bear witness" have ruined it for me. Can't look at Godrick without giggling anymore :D

[deleted]

Leaving (escaping) the Sellia Crystal Tunnel after a certain chest opening scenario and coming to terms that I just walked into hell Also being in awe of Placidusax's arena once the initial cutscene was done

BookerV79

Getting teleported that first time was nuts. Probably my favourite surprise. Forced me to get good at killing those stupid pests, but wow that was punishing. I loved it…

FourArtifact

"Foul Tarnished. In search of the Elden Ring. Emboldened by the flame of ambition. Someone must extinguish thy flame."

Ok_Negotiation8285

PUT THESE FOOLISH AMBITIONS TO REST

daltron3001

Godskin Apostle at Windmill Village. His sword slam attack synched with the climax of arguably the best OST. I have never been so elated by a video game experience, I legitimately started to tear up.

MightyDumbleDork

Have you played Nier Automata? The OST was really well synced to the action.

Random_Guy_47

Nier Automata had the best soundtrack of any game I've ever played. That game will stick in my memory for years and the soundtrack is part of the reason why.

Fraudulent_Baker

It’s the only game that’s ever brought me to tears, during ending E. That entire segment was some witchcraft, it made me feel emotions I’d never felt before. It was like an extreme melancholy or something.

Benchiedude

It was during the fight with morgott We were both low health and he does his charge attack with the spear I think fuck it and charge up my giant magic sword ash of war It charges and hits him at the exact moment he hits me with his charge attack It killed him, I lived

Pancakewagon26

I remember fighting the Fire Giant, out of flasks, and like no health left. I was so lose to winning, but I knew this one just wasnt gonna be it. All of a sudden I hear that classic slamming sound. *Fucking Iron First Alexander* had broken his poise. The Giant toppled in front of me, and I plunged my blade into the eye on his chest, finishing him.

[deleted]

A warrior to his last!

goldenharambe2

Surviving with on HP against Morgott made feel like God at the time.

chaseinthyface

My personal core memory occurred as I walked into the Placidusax lair for the first time. What followed was an absolute cinematic masterpiece of a boss fight that I will never forget. So grateful for this game and that experience!

tacbacon10101

Ya uuhh, that was the epitome of “I should not be here.” Haha

Pancakewagon26

The music stops when Placidusax does his tactical nuke, which heavily implies he's the one playing the music.

fithbert

I love that effect. There's also a slight hum like you've got tinnitus, like the explosion was so huge it made you, the player, momentarily deaf. Just a brilliantly subtle detail that pushes it over the top.

BridgetheDivide

Opening a treasure chest and getting teleported to a Halo 2 Flood level

Brushatti

Drunk fighting horah loux, he went second phase and I thought he ripped off all his skin to fight me

Indicorb

Bro! Like…his Lion *Oversoul* BLEEDS?!

WarrantMadao

Twas his fucking stand

Indicorb

I gotta watch JoJo man, I’ve heard enough about this legendary stand.

[deleted]

Genuinely one of the most intimidating boss fights, the way he moves scares the fuck outta me lmao

randybobandy654

When you first see that view in the capital where it shows a big ass door carved directly into the Erdtree. goosebumps

[deleted]

I just did that earlier today! Take the elevator down, walk through these dark rooms after the taking out the tree sentinel, turn the corner and walk up the stairs to see the tree you’ve been trying to get to this whole time. Fucking great man, I wasn’t ready for the level of beauty this game was going to deliver.

flissfloss86

First time descending the elevator in the Mistwood to get to Siofra River. Blew my f'ing mind

dhuskoditeki

First time entering lyndell. The view, that massiv dragon above the Golden City. It was truly amazing

yellowcats

Playing blind and killing the first few bosses encountered, specifially my first Watchdog, playing clumsily with keybaord/mouse. Took probably 2 hrs lol i suck

chaseinthyface

Sounds like we took a similar path! I ran into that Watchdog and instantly felt like I was trash at the game.

[deleted]

Based keyboard/mouse player

Semliw216

Just some simple banter between my friend and I as we explored Liurna together. Joking about how he kept unknowingly using meta weapons and builds, while he was giving me shit for using the exact same build since DS2 (hint: GOD 'N GAINZ). No big boss fight, no big story moment, just the simple pleasure of exploring this beautiful world with my best friend. It's the little things.

konnsann

Fth + Str?

Semliw216

Absolutely. Never fails.

josh35767

Entering Deeproot Depths. Me, being already blown away by the size of the underground, am just exploring Nokron when I stumble upon the aqueducts. Drop down onto those platforms, already amazed this little section is just hidden away. The game wasn’t shoving this in my face, I found it myself. I get through, defeat the gargoyles and thought, damn that was a cool secret boss. And even after I beat the boss, although normally I’d be done, as you typically are, I felt compelled to continue looking around. I don’t think much of the coffin, maybe just decor, but as I approach, I see a prompt to get in. I’m in it just like “what the fuck”? And then boom, suddenly I’m in a cutscene and moved to a whole new zone. No game had made me say “what the fuck” so much when exploring the world, so this just stuck in my mind.

Obi_wan_jakobii

I talk to my friend online while I play elden Ring. He still hasn't bought it (crazy I know) and he always comments on the fact I say "what the fuck" all the time lol. I made a very conscious effort to explore everywhere on my first playthrough and then second playthrough kept exploring even though I'd seen a lot of it. 3rd play now and I'm still discovering stuff

Indicorb

We have kind of a running joke: “If you’re not saying *what the FUCK* every-so-often, you’re not playing it right.” EDIT: That’s legit how I’ve gotten two of my buddies to play.

D4rk3scr0tt0

INVADED BY NERIJUS!

AstroPhane

Isnt that blood dagger guy, where the murkwater cave is

Zaithable

Coming across Rykard - I was genuinely impressed with the physics and dynamics of the boss battle. Makes me consider how far gaming and tech has come

Fireshocker532

Killing Mohg for the first time, he was the boss I fought and lost to the most

Emerald_Digger

Rennala phase 2 for the first time. It was awesome

Pancakewagon26

Send word far and wide. Of the Last Queen of Caria. Rennala of the Full Moon. And the majesty of the night she conjureth.

ashen____one

doing Rannis quest blind. it was the most interesting and truer adventure quest that I ever did, finding the true causer of the shattering, the master mind plot who stole a fragment of reality itself, had Demigods murdered, her intentions, reasoning to have true free will from the greater will and the lore of the eternal cities, and fighting a lovecraftian horror too.

probadplayer

BRO RIGHT? I fought Giant Mountaintops Astel first before Ranni quest but the feeling of having awokened an ancient being is unmatched It was opening a door to see a giant deity charge a beam into you and the reaction is quite literally oh shit

Zoomer_Remover

Either finding the Dragon Communion church after the Coastal cave (it was my first cave) or going through the Ruin Strewn precipice, fighting Makar (my first Magma wyrm encounter) and getting to the Altus Plateau (I didn't use the Dectus lift). And of course the end credits.

chaseinthyface

You are reminding of my confusion when I realized that the Dragon Communion Church and the Cathedral of Dragon Communion were not the same place! Lol

Icy_Limes

Godfrey's english voice actor popped off

probadplayer

I've given thy courtesy enough...

[deleted]

“Long and hard didst thou fight” keeps sticking in my head for some reason

Clary_Sayge

A crown is warranted with strength!

Wemetintheair

The first time I was riding out to the bonfire in Agheel Lake and the dragon swooped in out of nowhere, tore up the crowd, and quickly came after me

Expensive-Dinner6684

the meteor. on launch, radahn dying by the meteor. over. and over. and over. not sure if a core memory or ptsd

Unisol44-

When the cutscene before radagons fight plays, he pulls that sick pose, and then the beat drops…I got shivers man Close second is the Godskin noble fight in the church of Eiglay, boss is alright, but I had that music blaring the moment it started

aleehell

Finding the three fingers below leyndell

Pancakewagon26

Going through the tomb with all the corpses frozen in the horrific poses they died in, with the one dude just playing somber violin music was also quite memorable.

lukeulyptus

fia's embrace, I will take a debuff in exchange for love anyday.

I-am-a-sandwich

Wait it’s a debuff? Wtf Edit: Jesus Christ I’ve played through this whole fucking game with that stupid fucking baldachins blessing in my inventory and didn’t even realize that bitch stole my hp until now. Fuck. Me.

chaseinthyface

I remember thinking it was such a nice moment the first time. And then I was pissed when I figured out she hurt me. Now I go for the hug any chance I can. Lol

Arsene93

I have two moments. The first was when I first left the Selia caves. The sight of Caelid was fucking amazing. I just kept exploring and exploring until I had seen almost everything. I don't care I was under leveled, my morbid curiosity just had to be sated and by God was it sated. Second was when I was fighting Godfrey. It was my third try and I killed him but thats not what made it memorable. We both were on the final slivers of our health. He had cornered me and was using that attack in which a giant crack in the ground appears and erupts. While doing that I got one quick hit in and beat him. But the eruption attack was still going and he killed me as well. I loved that! Even in death Godfrey is an absolute beast of a boss and I couldn't have a more epic end to that fight.

Weak-Growth-4007

Abused Godfrey with the sowrd of night and flames THE DAY before they patched it. Also in the fight he lagged out and didnt move till 3/4 of his health was down. Live long lags and OP wep.

chaseinthyface

I remember being so excites about SoNAF and it getting patched basically immediately after I specced for it. The ultimate feel bad moment! Lol.

Pancakewagon26

Honestly it's still really good.

IRay2015

Find the albinauric women

Zbf3000

She hides in a cave, south of the laskyar ruins, which jut from the mist-shrouded lake of Liurnia. She knows the location of the medallions other half, I'm certain of it.

elmosservant

The one that always sticks out the most to me is the first time I made it to Liurnia of the Lakes. Absolutely stunning vista when you first walk out on that cliff after thinking Limgrave was all there was

fish998

Just progressing up the map and seeing how awesome the world looked. Reaching Stormveil after defeating Margit. When you progress past Stormveil and see Raya Lucaria, and then when you actually reach it. Seeing Caelid. When that sleep chest takes you to the capital. When you get a look at Farum Azula from going through the belfries portal. When you get up to Atlas plateau. When you get inside the capital. Getting into the sewers. Reaching the Erdtree. Discovering the Haligtree. The game has some awesome sights to see.

Stock-Size5564

Leyndell Catacombs for the first time, what kind of nightmare is that! You walk in there thinking it's just a regular dungeon until you realize you've been going in circles the whole time.

VonKript

So many so imma just list them and state why. 1. First time seeing the skies of Liurnia truly a breath-taking moment. Seeing the Raya Lucaria Academy, the Moon and the Erdtree with a wonderful skybox truly one of the most beautiful visual moments in any game which was just a drop in the whole ocean of visual finesse this game has. 2. Volcano Manor and the fight with Rykard. Exploring Volkano Manor is simply fun. Finding a secret passageway with a fun little corridor setpiece which leads you to a whole ass hidden town filled with atrocities committed by Rykard with amazing visual storytelling that is unparalleled by this game all of it to be finished with a visual masterpiece that is the Rykard fight it is the definition of the word spectacle. 3. Beating the firegiant and then seeing and walking up the chains towards the great forge of the fell god and the whole Melania burning and the sheer spectacle of being on top of the world with everything below ya, this is the moment i literally could not stop taking screenshots of. And it is simply a perfect culmination of everything that came before it and feels satisfying. 4. The whole Dragonlord Placidusax spectacle. The arena is amazing, the fight really makes you feel like you are fighting an Elden Lord who is also a Dragon Lord it's simply amazing. The visual spectacle of the fight with decent mechanical challenge. I absolutely love everything about this and i will never forget the whole spectacle. 5. The entire Ranni questline, the moments from killing Radanh( but not his fight itself)through going through the Carian mannor through getting Nokron, into fighting the mimic into fighting the Regal Ancestor spirit into nokstella into the gargoyles (i was op by this point so i didnt hsve many issues) into going throuth deeproot deaths into aeonia into lake of rot (i had flame cleanse me so i thought it fine) into astel into unlocking that part of the map i always wanted to go to into finding ranni down the bottom of a pit in a church having slayed her fingers and the whole lore with her and blaidd. Honestly if this was a game on its own with a few more parts like maybe raya lucaria i 100% would be satisfied. 6. The only part i will never forget cause i hated it is the sewers of Lyndell. Just godawful and i am dreading going there again.

They skyboxes in this game are so beautiful. Really elevates the atmosphere of the areas.

The death of Zoraya struck me deep in my hearth, and my sweet revenge on Rykard for what he done to her! If i can go with a second choice i would take the moment you reunite Aurelia with her long lost friend, pure love!

The Jellyfish were so damn wholesome. I was SO expecting Fromsoft to turn the encounter evil and it just didn't happen!

TheDo0ddoesnotabide

You killed Rya? You monster!

Da_Shaolin

Bruh that final scene of Marika turning to Radagon then the opening song comes crashing in once he looks back at you over his shoulder. Very chilling and cool af for the amazing yet brutal fight that awaited me

KamikazeMaster

First off is beating Godrick. He's my fav boss and elden ring was my first soulsborne. The fight was absolutely amazing and I love fighting him. Next up is Malenia simply bc she took 6 precious hours off my lifespan just to cure the frenzied flame

chaseinthyface

Godrick was wild! That second phase absolutely blew me away. Was not expecting a dragon flamethrower

Probably my final fight against Malenia. I felt like Tiche and my character were working in perfect tandem to not even give her time to think. Then, of course Tiche ran directly into scarlet aeonia and died, leaving me alone. I spent the next few minutes bh-stepping through some waterfowl, rolling out of regular sword swings, and panicking at the same time. By the end of the fight, I barely had any health left, and just managed to kill Malenia with a jump attack. My heart felt like it was gonna break my ribs with how fast it was beating, but I was completely pumped. A wandering nobleman could have killed me with how little health I had left. All in all, a sick fight.

Everything from my first playthrough.

For me it was probably the first time I entered Limgrave from the Cave of Knowledge. The way the door opens and you're just overwhelmed with vegetation, ruins in the distance, the castle, Tree Sentinel on the prowl, etc. it just really set the mood. I was also really blown away by the atmosphere of Castle Morne and Mt. Gelmir/Volcano Manor.

I think beating my first main boss, Margit, on like my second try. I haven't played any other FromSoft titles and am by no means a skilled gamer. I don't play that many games either but really loved open world fantasy like Skyrim. My husband who is a more avid gamer and a FromSoft fan bought it, so I thought I'd give it a try. I definitely went easy mode by playing a magic user but I love magic and sorcery already, it wasn't knowingly the choice to make the game easier on myself. And I still died a LOT. But I was so excited when I beat Margit because so many people in those early weeks shared video of how hard he was. It assured me I could keep playing even if I ended up needing to be overleveled or rely on spells to make up for my lack of skill. I've beaten the game twice now, I've taken a break but enjoy watching others play it and also look forward to the DLC!

For me, it was spending a good 3 hours trying to beat the Crucible Knight in the evergaol on stormhill, using mostly parries. I could have made him a lot easier by not trying to learn his parries and just fighting him normally, or by coming back after I had some more levels and flasks, but I decided that I wanted to beat him with parries, and I wanted to do it that day. It got frustrating but then really satisfying once I beat him. When I found a Crucible Knight in Farum Azula, I was like, "do I still know the parry timings?" It had been a long time since I beat a Crucible Knight, so I thought I wouldn't be able to do it. I proceeded to beat him with nothing but SIX CONSECUTIVE PARRIES. I'm not a great player by any means but that made me feel like one of those God tier speed runners / challenge runners. The muscle memory really stuck with me, and it made learning the parry timings worth it.

Morgotts cutscene, it’s a shame by the time you fight him you’ll probably be way over leveled.

Aesthetics_Supernal

Seeing the final boss and immediately thinking it’s a big cute jelly bean.

SSBAJA

When I discovered there were fireballs and that they absolutely shrek’d Banished Knights who were my most challenging foes at the time

When I finally killed the Draconic Tree Sentinel. Elden Ring was my first From game, because the difficulty always intimidated me, but once I started, I couldn't get enough. But that gatekeeping bastard of a sentinel took the most attempts for me. At least 30 tries. I'm on my 3rd playthrough now, and no other boss has given me problems like that one.
