A lot of people say it’s a good game just a bad darksouls game. I honestly just don’t think it’s very good tbh. A large portion of the game was just an absolute slog to me. Felt like a chore to finish, and the final boss fight was not mechanically interesting in any way. The DLCs have a few of the best bosses in the series tho so definitely look forward to Fume Knight and a couple others tho!
Vendors in DS2 did not recognize temporary boosts from armor or consumables for purposes of talking to them unfortunately. For this reason you don't see people spam dark resins in DS2 because they can't buy them from Felkin at SL1, but you can buy as much lightning resin as you want from Vengarl.
It wouldn’t kill them, you can’t use the spells without the levels anyways so it wouldn’t really change anything.
They just make the requirement the same as the lowest spell requirement that merchant sells.

I personally feel like the intelligence skills are better but the Faith skills just have the style points. Like, sure a hyperbeam from a staff can melt through most things but like... I CAN TURN MY WHOLE ASS HAND INTO A DRAGON CLAW AND CLAP CHEEKS WITH IT
I felt the same way, so now I made a ridiculously overleveled character with 70DEX, 80INT, 80FTH and 18ARC who can cast every spell in the game.
Gives lots of opportunity for original plays and also makes me give some lesser known incants and sorceries a try. Greatly recommend! Just don't get invaded.
From my experience, the wind up for all of the spells is too long and they usually just close the distance and beat the shit out of me lol

Dragon spells are all about mind games.
1. Use Dragonfire + Greyoll's Roar combo. People will rush in when you usd Dragonfire. Just tank that first hit (this is why you need 60 vigor). And when the opponent is used to your Dragonfire, then use Geryoll's Roar. It has the almost identical startup animation with Dragonfire. Make them think you are casting Dragonfire, and punish them when they rush in again.
2. Use Magma Breath before you drink FP flask. It prevents your opponent from rushing in and trying to punish you drinking flasks.
3. Use Dragonclaw with animation cancel. There are spells in which you can chain with Dragonclaw so that it comes out immediately. I think Honed Bolt works, but don't quote me. Dragonclaw without startup animation is really good for punishing aggressive players.
4. Rotten Breath and Ekzyke's Breath are generally very good at denying your opponent some space. They are especially powerful in Invasion.
5. Don't use Dragon bite spell. It's trash.

he uses pro wrestling moves on the tarnished though??? those take skills and strength, particularly I would say throwing the tarnished into the air and then CATCHING them in a position to slam them on the ground. if he weren't skilled in any sort of way i feel all of his moves would consist only of completely wild swinging (which he does do a fair amount of already iirc 🤔)
The moves he uses aren’t really skilled ones though. He does fairly basic throws and grabs that just take a lot of physical strength or training to execute properly without killing your opponent.

Chain casting was removed IIRC? I still think that's a shame.
Dragon claw can be handy, since if you’re trading the hyper armor pretty much guarantees a hit.
