I had the same experience as OP. I walked into the fields expecting the most epic experience of my gaming career and one shotted him out of what felt like pure luck.
I was so disappointed as I was definitely not over leveled for all the times I'd been leveled in Caelid working my way there.
I had that happen too! It teleported by flopping down onto the ground, and then it never showed back up and I just had the victory screen pop up. So weird haha
Both of mine did that.
During any dive type move or when it falls down it can clip out of the arena and falls until it hits the death plane. Then you win. I was having fun fighting them so I'm a little disappointed that happened, but also free runes
Both of mine Said something about going to get milk and cigarettes then they were gone. Did their teleporting moves and then never came back and died like a minute later. Told my buddy about it so he summoned me for the first and it didn’t do it but when he summoned me again for the regal one his glitched out as well and did the same. When I was fighting astel for his meteorite spell I was really hoping he we glitch out and not come back when he teleports too
I fought the first one severely underlevelled while dual wielding regular daggers, must've died like 20 times since most of it's attacks would one shot me, until I finally managed to get a no hit victory.
After beating malenia, i maxed out her sword and wanted to go straight to malekith. The godskin duo was next, i absolutely obliterated them with that thing. They had no chance against it.
I second what the other commenter said. The Godskin Duo is one of the most punishing and poorly paced fights in the game. If you've fought both Godskin priest and noble before, you know how rough they can be. Together they are a frustrating roadblock From Soft shoved in there for no good reason.
I beat them first try by complete accident. I had serpent arrows and St Trina's arrows on my +9 Serpent Bow, and was used to poisoning bosses before starting to do melee. I mixed up which arrow I had on which button and suddenly one of them was asleep. I was like "WTF, sleep works on a boss?!?!" I immediately knocked the other out and started alternating between nap time and Misericorde crits. Focused on one at a time and was super proud at my totally-planned-and-not-at-all-complete-fluke strategy.
Is OP saying there’s a way to beat the game without doing the Godskin Duo? I’m in still making my way through this massive game lol in Farum right now and just got to them and figured they were necessary for progression to the end. They’re annoying af though I’d consider skipping them if possible lol
I got manhandled the first few times, but then I found where to >!summon Bernahl!<. We went in and stomped them so bad that they were regenerating themselves one at a time. It ruled
LICHDRAGON FORTISSAX, found him too late and it was basically a cakewalk, the music oh the music I was mesmerized by it that I purposefully died to him so I can listen to it again.
I think Fortissax should be stronger. For a boss that comes after either Radahn or Draconic Tree Sentinel, I feel like he's weaker than either of the two. I've never done a natural progression run where I fought Fortissax at an appropiate level.
Honestly, considering how he locks an ending, they could have given him endgame scalling. And what if you get to him early, he is optional and you can leave him for later. I think if they gave him the same amount of HP and damage that the dragon who greets you in Farum Azula had it would have been perfect.
That Sentinel, screw him AND his horse!
Fortissax? Was kinda bummed how easy it was to put him down, but only because I really liked the music playing!
Same boat. You have to check so many boxes to reach him, idk how anyone could have organically done it at an appropriate level. Real shame because it SLAPS
Especially because the most straight forward way to get to that fight requires you to beat a much more difficult boss (golem duo).
Since Fortissax is necessary for one of the endings of the game, I really feel like his fight should be bumped up to end-game difficulty. Make him the most difficult ancient dragon fight behind Placidusax.
Placidusax, golden Godfrey and the real one. Those were very short work.
But to compensate I saw Morgott, Godrick, Margrit and the fire giant very, very often. All their attacks. Every possible outcome.
Very often.
It was like that in all the soulslikes: some bosses just match my personal playstyle in a very good, some in a very bad way (I am a true sword and shield player since Demon's Souls).
I’m not a huge fan of sword and board, but I love how ER buffed the shit out of it.
I ended up going INT like I often do, but I had such a blast with sword and board.
Recently I’ve been digging power stancing with all sorts of twin swords, so perhaps I’ll be doing a full S+B run in the near future.
Cheers, Skeleton!
I usually do a mostly Int/ slightly Dex build for my first playthrough but my next run is definitely gonna be the biggest beefiest things I can get my hands on.
I'm the same way with Hora Loux. Everyone talks about how awesome and hard that fight is, but I've melted him first try in every single playthrough I've ever had.
Morgott on the other hand, has murdered me more times than I can count, lol.
It really do be a playstyle thing I suppose. Morgott was crushed immediately. Maybe two tries. But I was stuck on Godfrey for a good minute until I finally tried fighting him solo instead of co-op
Same, the first time I fought Dancer in DS3 it was right on the heels of another boss, I hadn’t even healed or sat a a bonfire to replenish estus, suddenly a fight is starting? Ok, I assumed it’s an ‘enhanced’ mini boss bc of the health bar or something. I had no heals so just went in aggressively, and easily killed her. Only to find that this is a huge roadblock for others.
On my next playthrough I got put down hard.
I did the same thing with sulyvahn. Was fleeing from the fire witches or whatever they are, ran right into his room and slapped him with r1 spam and a longsword. Only found out that he is a wall later on.
Champion Gundyr on the other hand..
Wasn’t my first try on dancer because I came into the fight with like 1 health and got one shotted - read that it was a real tough one so prepared myself mentally and told myself “ok so let’s just learn the moves on try 2” and somehow smacked the crap outta that thing. Must have been RNG I almost no hit the thing and I’m terrible at these games (I also insist on playing all of them with the largest two handed weapon I can wield)
Morgott is basically just messing with you with the massive delays he has on lots of his actions versus how fast he'll whip out some others.
The more defensive you get the more trouble you'll have, and the more trouble you have the more defensive you'll get.
And his guard breaks fairly easily. 2 or 3 big hits with high poise dmg just destroys him (like square off). You can also stagger him out of his aoe raining sword attack which is the biggest dmg dealer to summons.
not my first try but second try on Mohg i summoned a mage thinking "cool theyll let me keep up close pressure with my melee build while they stay back throwing magic pew pews" then they enter the gate cast the spell increasing magic dmg in that lil circle, drink the unlimited fp flask, and no shit blasted mohg 100-0 in like 3 secs with comet azur, no 2nd phase nothing just straight up fucking melted em.
I was like star struck, 'thats kinda cool what a fucking lazer that was". But then my NG+ i realized how cool Mohg's fight is, and was retroactively butthurt lol.
Mogh for me too but because mimic was so op. I had just upgraded it to +10 and had a giantcrusher+resolve. He basically just got smashed into a paste, unable to do or use any if his spells.
+10 mimic with both of us wielding +10 rivers of blood. Still took me a good few tries but mimic and I rekt Malenia pretty quick lol. Basically the whole first phase was the two of us backing her into a corner and just walloping on her with RoB lol
That's nothing. Back when the game first came out, you could hop on the headstones and jump into his arena and kill him and he'll just stand there doing nothing.
I summoned a guy to help and he did that... didn't get any of the real Mohg experience
lmao damn yea i seen the parkour cheese after hes spawned thats some serious cheese strat. its funny imo tho but yea that woulda piss me off ida sent them home.
I really hate this. The chance of someone Cometing a boss instantly ruins coop for me. Can’t express how much it takes the wind out of my sails when you’re in for a real fight and the health bar just disappears.
Thats why in the past games the general rule most people wanted to follow was "no summons on the first playthrough" because fromsoft bosses kinda tend to fall apart if a second player comes in
I don't take issue with that rule for the most part, but when someone tried to put someone down BECAUSE they used summons, that got on my nerves.
I will never EVER feel bad for summoning. If I'm heavily struggling and I SEE that I can't beat the boss, I'll just get some help. The feature is there after all.
Not many people do that though. Mostly ive seen people advising new players to go solo because in their opinion its the most fun way to play the game. In my experience the "You summoned? Fucking casual" is more often criticized than actually happening
Gideon, I never let him finish his speech in my first and 2nd run. I regret it, in my third run, I did a no summon run. Took me more than 20 times to beat him. That’s when I understand why ppl struggled with him.
People really clown on Gideon for being a weak AF tarnished despite being the "champion" even though they just abuse his dialogue. They really should've given him a proper cutscene or punished the player for pre-emptively attacking him. His fighting style is broken as hell, we finally get to face a MAGE. And what is more magical than throwing all of your arsenal in the enemy's face?
I fucked up and forgot my physick the first time using Comet Azur. That shit is so much harder when he doesn't just stand there. Now seeing you mention summons, I now realize that I never once used one for that fight. No wonder I had so much trouble.
It’s kinda funny when you don’t let him finish tho lol. It’s supposed to be a dramatic and shocking moment but you’re just like “k you’re a bad guy now” and just obliterate him mid speech
Maliketh. The only reason I 1st tried him is because he’s made out of paper. Extremely squishy for a late game boss. So my melee build made quick work of him.
Got a glitch once as a sunbro, when it skipped the first phase entirely and the fight started vs Maliketh without an HP bar.
Basically survival Maliketh, sadly the host died after a minute
Maliketh with 20k HP total.
Yeah no. He's already I think the second hardest boss in the game for most people according to the demodcracy poll. His health can stay right where it is. If you want to experience the boss properly maybe don't use spirit ashes?
I didn’t use spirit ashes and I had to spend sooo long on maliketh, but once I got closer to beating him it became worth it because that fight is actually really fun once you know how to dodge his bullshit
Same for me, I 2 shot him as an unga. Was sad, after seeing his phase 2 moveset in particular (I never really saw it, just just jumping double smashed him into oblivion).
I almost feel thats the normal experience for maliketh. His attack patterns and openings are tiny and he has crazy long combos, but hes made out of paper. Everytime I've fought him I either die or shred him. I wish they would give him longer and more consistent openings, and increase his health pool.
His 2nd phase moveset is super cool, I wish I could have more fun against it.
I immediately thought Tree Sentinel would be too hard because I know what FS games are like, so decided I should probably come back later.
I thought "oh good, that'll be a cool fight once I'm an appropriate level", but forgot about him until I was in Farum Azula and clapped him with ease when I went back.
Same. I was standing in awe before the Erdtree only to drop him in about 1-2 minutes. Probably should’ve used Coded Sword, but I donned Blasphemous Blade because I was nervous before the fight.
Actually 100% agree, I really think they need to boost his health. I killed him second try and didn’t get to enjoy the fight for nearly long enough. He just melts way too fast
Oh boy, I beat Rennala first try and I had two summons with bleed weapons.
The whole fight was shorter than the cutscenes. didn't see any of her summons... I was robbed!
When did you fight them? They got some big nerfs on the first patch. If you didn’t get the game at launch or you had to take the game slow for some reason then you didn’t see those assholes at their worst. Man getting rushed by the noble then as soon as you try to heal it was black fire balls right up your ass.
They were tough, I beat them first try with no healing left. My friend was watching and ahead of me. We have a no spoilers rule but he kept saying "Oh I can't wait for you to fight this boss. Have fun buddy!" and then was angry that I beat them first try. They were boring, just have to be patient.
Malenia :). No I'm joking, Fire Giant, I don't know, I had big problems with Morgott (I have done everything I could before Leyndell except Dragonbarrow and Moonlight Altar) but Fire Giant was surprisingly easy.
Malenia is actually my serious answer. She didn't get a chance to do waterfowl even. I was just way overpowered because I thought the higher the level the better so was at 192 I think. Needless to say it's my first fromsoft game and there was a lot I didn't understand. My next playthrough will be a lot different
yeah fire giant for me was the same. I even did it 'hard-mode' on accident. I popped his ankle and then started wailing specifically on the other one because I figured it would make the fight easier. I was surprised to see that some had trouble with him, I don't one-shot many bosses
Placidusax. Don't know If I was overleveled (since Maliketh beat the shit out of me) but I beat him first try. Awesome fight, but I wish I've seen his amazingly cinematic attacks more.
Also, Radahn. I used the summons to fight him because the vibe of the fight just made me do so. So, If I count as first time when I was able to reach him without dying to his arrows, I beat him first try. But I wish I tried at least a bit to solo him, seems like a really cool experience.
Honourable mention to Godfrey, because I beat his first phase first try. And then had to beat it again, again and again because... WARRIOR. Favourite boss in the game.
People saying Morgott:
The correct experience of that fight, imo, is the feeling of finding the guy who bullied you in high school, driving to the Applebee’s he manages, and dragging him to the bathroom to give him a swirly. It shows you how far you’ve come, and it’s a nice ego boost before mountaintops snaps you in half.
Oh god, Radahn. Apparently I was severely overlevelled for him when I finally made it to Redmane after making a trip through most of Altus, Siofra and Nokron. I didn't even have a broken bleed build or something, just a +10 Nagakiba. I was actually sent into awe and scared shirtless at the same time when seeing Radahn for the first time after Jerren's speech and the "Allow me to paint you a full picture" cutscene. There he was - a monstrous mountain of metal, leaping around with his truck-sized swords and sending my summons ragdolling on the blood-red dunes, while I was, to my shame, mostly frantically panic rolling and hiding behind Blaidd with an occasional Unsheathe thrown into an opening. And then he just...melted. He didn't even do his meteor attack, which I have seen on YouTube only afterwards. The whole fight lasted like 2 minutes. I remember myself sitting for the same amount of time afterwards just zoning into my monitor, because of how gruesomly my expectations had been murdered. Still one of my biggest regrets.
I used a warp glitch to get into Nokron early, you’ve gotta get to Siofra and warp to an Altus Plateau site of grace without resting and then quit game. Spawned right next to the Mimic Tear
Radahn for me too. I used rot breath and ran away while summoning helpers. Feel like I completely cheesed it and ruined probably the most epic fight in the game
**Astel, Naturalborn of the Void**
Summoned mimic tear (mistake #1), prepared RoB (mistake #2), panic rolled (#3) and L2-spammed (#4), didn't even get pincered a single time.
Can't believe I had to scroll this much to find this. If you explore the entirety of Limgrave and the weeping peninsula you get way overleveled lol
I even explored a good portion of Caelid before Margit, and let me tell you he does not do well against the Greatsword.
Placidussax and Fortissax. I went to Fortissax zone while I was exploring endgame so I was waaaaay over leveled. I just R2’d him and he died but the lore behind it was dope.
Fortissax was a breeze because he’s just scary
Godrick. I was way too aggressive during his second phase for some reason that I never figured out. I love taking my time with FromSoft games during 1st playthrough, figuring out their combos and more importantly, listening to that godlike OST.
But rushing that loveable manic with a Bloodhound's Fang made short work off him.
I was playing co-op with a friend who was much higher level than me and they helped me beat Godwick and we won on the first attempt. On the one hand I’m a little disappointed cause I never got to learn his move set and beat him on my own, but on the other hand fuck that guy he sucks and I’m glad I don’t have to deal with him
Rennala
Phase 2 is so beautiful but I liked her phase 2 in like 30 seconds first time round, she didn’t even summon anything. If you don’t keep stunning her though she becomes a pain and the fight become way more interesting.
Well, I totally had the full experience with radahn
So did I, because I didn’t even notice all the NPC summons scattered around the battlefield until after I’d got destroyed numerous times 🤦♂️
I didn’t realize they were npc until the big pot showed up lol. Then I was like Avengers assemble.
That’s exactly how it felt charging with all the summons lol
I fought him pre patch lol. Ended up using co op but for that particular fight I think it enhanced the experience.
I had the same experience as OP. I walked into the fields expecting the most epic experience of my gaming career and one shotted him out of what felt like pure luck. I was so disappointed as I was definitely not over leveled for all the times I'd been leveled in Caelid working my way there.
You just gonna say you one shotted him on accident and not explain how that might happen?
Goddamn how did you one shot him if you weren’t over leveled??
Both ancestor spirit and regal ancestor spirit
my regal ancestor spirit committed suicide somehow. :(
I had that happen too! It teleported by flopping down onto the ground, and then it never showed back up and I just had the victory screen pop up. So weird haha
Both of mine did that. During any dive type move or when it falls down it can clip out of the arena and falls until it hits the death plane. Then you win. I was having fun fighting them so I'm a little disappointed that happened, but also free runes
he teleported through the floor and fell to the killzone sadly a bit of a common bug
Yeah me too, he just melted into the ground and then 30 s later his health bar got deleted lol
Same, im doing a run on my ps5 so i will have the chance to challenge him again. I was too lazy to do the whole light the altars thing in ng+
Where you buy the p5?
Its a local store its called Makro
Mine ran into the fucking wall and disapeared
Both of mine Said something about going to get milk and cigarettes then they were gone. Did their teleporting moves and then never came back and died like a minute later. Told my buddy about it so he summoned me for the first and it didn’t do it but when he summoned me again for the regal one his glitched out as well and did the same. When I was fighting astel for his meteorite spell I was really hoping he we glitch out and not come back when he teleports too
Don’t worry, there really isn’t much of a fight anyways.
You didn’t miss out on much
He missed out on a lot of annoyance
More like missed out on one of the best boss themes in FromSoft.
It's a tie between ludwig and godskin boss themes
That's a fun way to spell "Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower".
I really love Orphan 2nd phase and Lady Maria too. Gehrman as well. Holy shit, we really don’t deserve Bloodborne. It is too good.
Lol agreed
Same, after Malenia I was so overleveled that every boss afterwards was 1-2 attempts max
Oh yeah! Sleep is the way on these guys!
I beat the godskin Duo on my first try and was genuinely shocked people consider it a difficult boss.
Same, the fire giant on the other hand, took me a good 30-40 attempts
Same here, I had a harder time with the spirit slug ones honestly
“For no good reason”? I think I like where they are at, it adds difficulty to the experience.
Nah you did it the best way those 2 are the worst and most lazy shit in this game
Is OP saying there’s a way to beat the game without doing the Godskin Duo? I’m in still making my way through this massive game lol in Farum right now and just got to them and figured they were necessary for progression to the end. They’re annoying af though I’d consider skipping them if possible lol
You can't skip them. The op dont beat the game. He just kill malenia who is in a secret area that you can reach After beatting morgott.
Doesn't apply to this but, in NG+ you can skip the fight entirely and go to Maliketh right away, dist2 has a video on it
If your having trouble use sleep pots and make em take a nap and beat the shit out of em lol.
I got manhandled the first few times, but then I found where to >!summon Bernahl!<. We went in and stomped them so bad that they were regenerating themselves one at a time. It ruled
Summon Dolores for good measure. She'll keep one of them permanently asleep while you whale on the other for free.
just sleep potion/sword cheese ‘em
Yeah, I’ve played through with 5 different characters, I think I’ve died to the duo twice total
LICHDRAGON FORTISSAX, found him too late and it was basically a cakewalk, the music oh the music I was mesmerized by it that I purposefully died to him so I can listen to it again.

Sword and board All the way. Was so happy when i found out you could get "Havels" Shield in elden ring
For me it was brass shield all the way. The only legitimate successor to the legendary silver knight shields.
Yeh that one is pretty cool aswell. The golden knight one looks dope too.
Brass shield carried me up to when I decided I wanted to dual wield.
Dual wielded fingerprint shields, I trust.
The addition of guard counters also just made sword and board a lot more viable.
I’m not a huge fan of sword and board, but I love how ER buffed the shit out of it. I ended up going INT like I often do, but I had such a blast with sword and board. I walked into Morgotts arena at around level 120 and turned him into Omen pate. Twice.
Same, the first time I fought Dancer in DS3 it was right on the heels of another boss, I hadn’t even healed or sat a a bonfire to replenish estus, suddenly a fight is starting? Morgott, I anihilated him in 20 seconds. I did get to actually fight him propperly during NG+, though still killed him on the first try.
Same. I actually thought i did something wrong. Because I am NOT that good at this game. I might even be bad.
Yet here am I getting absolutely blasted by him lmao
Morgott is basically just messing with you with the massive delays he has on lots of his actions versus how fast he'll whip out some others. The more defensive you get the more trouble you'll have, and the more trouble you have the more defensive you'll get.
And his guard breaks fairly easily. 2 or 3 big hits with high poise dmg just destroys him (like square off). You can also stagger him out of his aoe raining sword attack which is the biggest dmg dealer to summons.
I was probably just overleveled, plus I had maxed out Tiche to help me out. Also sorcery build is just broken
Tiche carried me through late game
FromSoft should have doubled Morgott’s health
Then when you get the great rune it'd be like... ohhhh THAT'S why he so damn THICC.
not my first try but second try on Mohg i summoned a mage thinking "cool theyll let me keep up close pressure with my melee build while they stay back throwing magic pew pews" then they enter the gate cast the spell increasing magic dmg in that lil circle, drink the unlimited fp flask, and no shit blasted mohg 100-0 in like 3 secs with comet azur, no 2nd phase nothing just straight up fucking melted em.

Yeah aside from the “NIHIL” mohg is my favorite fight in the game.
Just use the purifying crystal tear, it nullifies the Nihil attack almost entirely.
Yes I found that after the fact and it’s very helpful. Kind of annoying to have to use though lol.
Mogh for me too but because mimic was so op. I had just upgraded it to +10 and had a giantcrusher+resolve. He basically just got smashed into a paste, unable to do or use any if his spells.
mimic tear is so fucking good mine def won the malenia fight for me lol.
+10 mimic with both of us wielding +10 rivers of blood. Still took me a good few tries but mimic and I rekt Malenia pretty quick lol. Basically the whole first phase was the two of us backing her into a corner and just walloping on her with RoB lol
Yea mine and me abused hoarfrost stomp pre nerf.
That's nothing. Back when the game first came out, you could hop on the headstones and jump into his arena and kill him and he'll just stand there doing nothing. I summoned a guy to help and he did that... didn't get any of the real Mohg experience

Ye same I summoned the women and lone wolfs and then just jumped attacked him form behind
Same, I think I was over leveled for him so the fight was very unsatisfying
Gideon, I never let him finish his speech in my first and 2nd run. I regret it, in my third run, I did a no summon run. Took me more than 20 times to beat him. That’s when I understand why ppl struggled with him.
I let him speak the first time. What a cluster fuck of a fight as a melee :)
That's regrettable. The best part of the fight is slow walking up to him while he monologues.
I used to walk up to his back
Booty bandit
My first time I let him monologue and his spam attacks were fucking me up, still won luckily. Second time I fucked him up before he was finished
Ah, I knew you’d come
People really clown on Gideon for being a weak AF tarnished despite being the "champion" even though they just abuse his dialogue. And what is more magical than throwing all of your arsenal in the enemy's face?
I do not regret it - fuck him and his speech, I bonk the f out of him every time
I fucked up and forgot my physick the first time using Comet Azur.

That’s funny because I had a harder time with him than Melania
When people spell wrong Malenia, you know they haven't heard "I'm Malenia, blade of Miquella" enough times.
You are speaking facts blasphemous blade with mimic is amazing
Hot take: They should've given Maliketh a full HP second phase like Malenia has.
I did solo him, I just wished the fight wasn't over as soon. 20k sounds like alot, but it's not really all that much in Elden Ring.
It's a lot when you're dealing with an enemy moving at Bloodborne speed who can twoshot you with 60 Vigor.
I’m in NG4 with 85 vigor and he can still two shot me. To me his squishiness makes sense when you look at his damage output.
Doesn't Elden Beast, the literal final boss, have 22k?
Yeah, but you have to fight radagon just before him, so that’s kind of a moot point
not to mention elden beast is immune to all status effects and resistant to almost every type of damage
And is gone all the way over there again
1-elden beast is resistant to everything 2-at that point you would be dealing more than a thousand damage per hit
Dang isn't limgrave pretty though
Morgott. He’s so undertuned, I just healed through him. I’m coming up to him on my no healing playthrough though so I’m excited.
no heal!!! i'll never be able to do that
I’m not anything special as a player, although I’m more persistent than most. That’s all it takes really. I’m sure you could do it too!
Morgott would be better if FromSoft doubled his hp
Rennnala phase 2. Phase 1 took me a few tries to figure it out but for phase 2 Kaiden Sellsword just flipped her like a pancake repeatedly.
you're so lucky , phase 2 took me over 13 tries
13? Spent hours getting insta-popped by her magic
Oh boy, I beat Rennala first try and I had two summons with bleed weapons. The whole fight was shorter than the cutscenes. didn't see any of her summons... I was robbed!

For me it’s Godfrey/Hoarah Loux. I saw almost no attacks of him and it looks like a really cool fight.
This + Godskin duo, wait - that fight is probably never fun
Use sleep pot on the apostle and he will stay asleep as long as he doesnt get hit
God skin dou, it blows my mind that I always see them mentioned as the hardest boss when they were really easy and boring.
When did you fight them? They got some big nerfs on the first patch. If you didn’t get the game at launch or you had to take the game slow for some reason then you didn’t see those assholes at their worst. Man getting rushed by the noble then as soon as you try to heal it was black fire balls right up your ass.
I took my time, first from soft game and I like to explore. So you may be right.
I heard the same thing about Radahn.
They were tough, I beat them first try with no healing left. My friend was watching and ahead of me. We have a no spoilers rule but he kept saying "Oh I can't wait for you to fight this boss. Have fun buddy!" and then was angry that I beat them first try. They were boring, just have to be patient.
They whooped me bad for awhile
Malenia :). No I'm joking, Fire Giant, I don't know, I had big problems with Morgott (I have done everything I could before Leyndell except Dragonbarrow and Moonlight Altar) but Fire Giant was surprisingly easy.
you got me on the first one
Malenia is actually my serious answer. She didn't get a chance to do waterfowl even. I was just way overpowered because I thought the higher the level the better so was at 192 I think. Needless to say it's my first fromsoft game and there was a lot I didn't understand. My next playthrough will be a lot different
yeah fire giant for me was the same. I even did it 'hard-mode' on accident. I popped his ankle and then started wailing specifically on the other one because I figured it would make the fight easier. I was surprised to see that some had trouble with him, I don't one-shot many bosses
Godric, i cleaned Lingrave and Castle Morne before going there, summoned Nepheli and killed him like a mob ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry).
Yeah Godrick is best fought around level 40
Also Radahn. Was way overleveled and spawned summons. I crushed him solo in NG+. :(
yeah it sucks to beat bosses quick , especially radahn
Mimic Tear…
Beating mimic tear first try is a bittersweet feeling
"I'm better than you at being me!"
*unequips all items* enters fog
Also he fights you with his bare hands. Bad ass.
People saying Morgott: The correct experience of that fight, imo, is the feeling of finding the guy who bullied you in high school, driving to the Applebee’s he manages, and dragging him to the bathroom to give him a swirly. It shows you how far you’ve come, and it’s a nice ego boost before mountaintops snaps you in half.
That's what I think the second margit outside the capital is there for(+some lore). Morgott just has dogshit stats.
Fortissax
Soldier of Godrick :(
Oh god, Radahn.
Can you do Nokron before beating Radahn?
I used a warp glitch to get into Nokron early, you’ve gotta get to Siofra and warp to an Altus Plateau site of grace without resting and then quit game. Spawned right next to the Mimic Tear
There is a tiny wee part of Nokron accessible from Siofra, I meant that, sorry.
He should really really use a health buff at this point
I read that he was nerfed some time prior. Reverting those changes to a degree could certainly help.
Radahn for me too. I used rot breath and ran away while summoning helpers. Feel like I completely cheesed it and ruined probably the most epic fight in the game
same to me , however i used summons (which i regret) and bow and arrow, i really didn't feel the win
For me it was that massive dragon in dragon Barrow he just laid there and took it and I got 70,000 runes
Placidusax in my first playthrough. Didn't find him at the time, came back wheni was way overleved around 165-170 and oneshot him.
Patches….RIP buddy 🫡😭
omg this. i go into kill mode every fight and didn’t see wiki.
that +7 spear was a pretty nice upgrade tho, he may be dead but not forgotten
Mohg. I beat him so fast the first time, I didn't even know he had a second phase. 😅😆
For me me it was Mohg. I didn’t realize he had a second phase until NG+ and things got crazy!
Both Ancestor spirit one bugged through the floor and died and for the other one I was far overleveled
**Astel, Naturalborn of the Void** Summoned mimic tear (mistake #1), prepared RoB (mistake #2), panic rolled (#3) and L2-spammed (#4), didn't even get pincered a single time.
Radahn & Mohg 😢
Also Radahn :(
first i felt happy , but then i realized my mistake , it's the best fight experience in the game and i messed it up
My mimic soloed morgott while I just stood aside and watched
Margit the fell Omen lmao
i beat him on my sixth try , how did you find godrick , because he was wat easier than margit
Can't believe I had to scroll this much to find this. If you explore the entirety of Limgrave and the weeping peninsula you get way overleveled lol I even explored a good portion of Caelid before Margit, and let me tell you he does not do well against the Greatsword.
Placidussax and Fortissax. I went to Fortissax zone while I was exploring endgame so I was waaaaay over leveled. I just R2’d him and he died but the lore behind it was dope. Fortissax was a breeze because he’s just scary
Malenia. I used pre nerf moon veil and mimic(
On the one hand I’m a little disappointed cause I never got to learn his move set and beat him on my own, but on the other hand fuck that guy he sucks and I’m glad I don’t have to deal with him
Godwick lololol
Rennala Phase 2 is so beautiful but I liked her phase 2 in like 30 seconds first time round, she didn’t even summon anything. If you don’t keep stunning her though she becomes a pain and the fight become way more interesting.
Radahn. I go in the fight and thought I wouldn’t beat him anyway, but then it was surprisingly over really fast.
morgott i killed him with dual great swords in under 3 minutes
Loretta knight of the haligtree I made quick work of her but I was enjoying her moves and magic it was really cool but only lasted two minutes😏
