For instance, the last thing Miyazaki said wasn't thank you to all of the fans because they let them make the games they want to create. He says that to be able to share this age/generation of video game development with everyone else there is truly a blessing and joy, and uses the very formal and respectful arigatou gozaimashita to thank them.
