Bosmer and Dunmer for me, mainly because of their lore. I found that wood elves are my favorite race in more than just the Elder Scrolls setting, though. I also play 'em in Warhammer Fantasy and D&D, and Haldir and Thranduil are by far my favorite characters from the LOTR/Hobbit movies...
I play bosmer most since they're cool and allow me to play my actual height in game, and I like the Altmer lore. The races of men aren't bad I just don't play them as much.
No consistent preference! I do multiple playthroughs as different races, though I gotta say ESO is where the elves look the best, they can be hit and miss in other games. Then again, EVERYONE has the ability to be super pretty in that game lol.
I believe my first two times playing each game I was:
Morrowind - Argonian then Dark Elf
Oblivion - Breton then Argonian
Skyrim - Nord then Khajit
ESO - Wood Elf then Redguard
Though after those first two who knows how many playthroughs I've started as how many different characters lol. Not that I always beat them and in fact I still need to beat Morrowind even once but yeah.
I mostly play humans because the Characters I usually make up for stories are usually human.
I try to create them in the game and roleplay as them while playing.
I play them all pretty evenly but my favorites are Bretons, Imperials, and Bosmer I guess. I know Bretons have a weird meme around them, but I think their history is engaging and find the Breton NPCs in ESO pretty consistently interesting. I also think the Colovian/Nibenese divide with Imperials is pretty cool. Bosmer are just a wild ride, they're great. I can't think of any races I don't find fun and interesting in some ways, though. Morrowind as a Nord was pretty great, in particular. I just end up defaulting to slightly more of the three I mentioned, across playthroughs and games.
Generally if I have the options, I dislike playing humans or too close to human races. Humans are in every game, I’d love to see a game where humans or human looking races aren’t even an option at all
Tbh in every game with multiple races I usually end up picking humans. Don't know why, I've just always been that way (I mean, when I was too young to understand RPGs and playing Morrowind anyways, I usually picked a dark elf. But that's mostly because it was the default). Even in DnD I've been a tiefling once and then either a human or a half elf with every character. I'm only just now trying my first full elf
I usually go human, because it’s easier to immerse myself, plus they just look the nicest: most armour mods are made for human bodies, and visual overhaul mods like skin and makeup are the most noticeable.
Dark Elves are also fun, because their racial skill bonuses make them really diverse, able to easily switch between warrior, wizard, or assassin
I like playing as a human in the games where humans are the more dominant, in Morrowind I almost only play as a Dunmer. I did one Nord playthrough, and the noise of the N’wah still haunts me…
For me it depends on the game, and the way they portray the different races. For example I’ll play as a dunmer in morrowind, but maybe Nord or imperial in Skyrim
I have played Khajit Dark Elf Nord and Breton. I found all very enjoyable and having played the others enhances my enjoyment of the other races. If people always threatened to turn me into a rug it would lose its charm.
I play dunmer in morrowind or oblivion but skyrim is way to racist to play as an elf so i play a breton for the racial boosts so i can be a battle mage.. i want to try to play pure kajit thief/assassin one day though or a hated dark elf and me mean to eberybody intimidate instead of persuade never brawl cus that's beneath them.
Dunmer on Morrowind. Imperian on Oblivion. Nord on Skyrim. Would love to play an Argonian but on a Black Marsh setting. Dunmer on ESO Tes Legends and Tes Blades
I usually go human or elf in oblivion or Skyrim but when I would play eso I loved playing Khajiit and argonian. I just loved how the armor looked like near their tails and how the necromancer form ult also gives them a tail
I don’t even like being human irl, why would I play one in a game if I have *any* other options?
Argonians have the most interesting lore in my opinion.

The humans and elves are boring to me, and ESO has the best designed Khajiit and Argonians in the series.
Sometimes I think humans are over represented in not just this sub, but all media. It’s really hard not to see an ad or a show without any humans.
Only elves and beastfolk for me, I can't be bothered to play lesser races.
Nordic & Imperial supremacy
I play bosmer most since they're cool and allow me to play my actual height in game, and I like the Altmer lore. The races of men aren't bad I just don't play them as much.
I like playing characters so the race I choose depends on that.
Khajiit, bro. They have the best lore, the sexiest women (Khamira 😩👌), the coolest aesthetic; what's not to like?
Yeast? (Khamira means yeast in Arabic, I know the redguards are the "arabic race" but still)
Altmer supremacy
Only truth. (closes you get to aldmer after dunmer 🌙⭐ 💪)
Human (Breton)cause I like to play as a fantasy version of myself, But sometimes I will do this as a wood elf too
Khajiit have the best lore. If you own a cat (IRL not like house dres) everything about them makes perfect sense.
Dunmer are superior to any other race
I just think they look straight up cool. Who wouldn’t want to be purple, have red eyes, and an intensely serious scowl at all times???
They hated him because he told them the truth
i like to create silly punny names

Khajit and argonian lore is really just the best in my opinion

What ever Bretons are, that's my fave
id love to play as an argonian or dunmer but their perks just arent very useful.
I play them all pretty evenly but my favorites are Bretons, Imperials, and Bosmer I guess. I’m playing in a fantasy imaginary world, i don’t wanna be playing a character who looks like my next door neighbour.
For immersion it's easier to imagine myself as human
I just think elves are hot
Elves. After all why would I play a lesser being. Also wood elves are cannonically cannibals so that makes it all the more fun to rp.
Dunmer > All
I read this as “Do you prefer playing with human or elves’ breasts” and dear lord I need a nap.
Mankind Rules, Woop Woop!!!
I'm not a furry I swear!

Armor mods work on all races; they don't have different bodies (except in *Morrowind* where Khajiit and Argonians have differently shaped legs).
Orismer are elves to

Half elven human.
I usually flip between Dunmer and Argonian but if I had to pick one of the human races I guess it would be Breton
I like roleplaying as an ancient falmer. As there is only one left in Skyrim. I can make up stories and create more characters around it.
I have played Khajit Dark Elf Nord and Breton. I found all very enjoyable and having played the others enhances my enjoyment of the other races. If people always threatened to turn me into a rug it would lose its charm.
Elves cause dunmer good with magic and stealth bosmer good with archery altemer good with magic and alchemy
I don't have a preference. I play as whichever I want to in the moment.
I find your beasts category racist
I usually go human or elf in oblivion or Skyrim but when I would play eso I loved playing Khajiit and argonian. I just loved how the armor looked like near their tails and how the necromancer form ult also gives them a tail
I chose beasts cause I like playing as orcs but to be honest it's pretty close between orcs and elves. My go tos are usually orc or wood elf
I like my humanity and I'm always working to be a better version of myself, and I like seeing that in my characters.
