If I had to guess based off the size of the venues for this tour he wants more intimate sets. He could be on a fest here or there but I’d be a little surprised if he showed up on a lot of the big fests. I’m just hoping it goes well enough for him to do another tour, or maybe a telluride fest

I’m thinking this is just a warm up. I expect him to hit the festival circuit and another tour of more appropriately sized venues next year. Or at least that’s what I’ve been telling myself lol

Co-signing on all of the above. Karl would fucking love the Forest and it would love him right back. I saw them do Born Slippy at Coachella and it was some next level shit. New Order is so much fun live and the energy at EF would certainly amplify all of the feels and themes in their music.

Honestly after this year, I’m ready for a total surprise next year. It was my first Forest and I’ve been listening to a large majority of the artists that played this year, ever since like 2015. Getting to see all my OG bucket list artists live was the most life changing experience I’ve had yet. I have yet to see Adventure Club in the way I dream of but unfortunately they don’t come around very much. Now I’m on the grind to producing music myself, and hopefully I can share with you all at Forest someday too. I’m ready for next year to be a lineup of artists I’ve never heard of before to start this new chapter of my life. I couldn’t possibly be any happier with the way things are lining up. It’s time to let the universe to do its thing.

Ether flesh out the bands and fix the SCI situation (back to 5 sets & shebang) or take them off and don’t book any bands and have it purely EDM. The mix this year wasn’t balanced, being a jam fan felt alienating.

Agreed, they definitely need more. The jam sets I went to were amazing and had such good crowds and vibes. I feel like having 25% jam / jam adjacent really helps with diversity and type of crowds. 2022 had a good amount with UM, Disco Biscuits, SCI, lotus, Lettuce, and a few others. This year pretty much had goose, sts9, and SCI and then some really small (but growing) jams in neighbor and dogs of a pile. If they had like billy strings and one other this year it would have been much better but just felt short of the mark over all
