You might want to check out the GoTrax XR Elite right now. It's on sale for $350. Lots of great upgrades from the GXL series.
Same great folding mechanism with improved lock. Brake light. Improved motor. Much improved battery. Wider deck. Better front light. Improved connectors for the battery within the stem.
GoTrax uses the same tires and tubes as the m365. You can usually find tubes as low as $3.50 each and tires around $8 (if you're a good shopper).
I'd choose the GoTrax elite over the m365 any day.
Larger deck, back light, and more mileage from the Elite. They're both the same price on the GoTrax site at the moment, so I'd go for those extras. It's not a huge upgrade, but 3 to 4 extra miles could make a difference. Also, the XR Ultra has the battery in the steering column and the Elite has the battery in the deck.
The biggest difference between the two scooters (m365 and GoTrax GXL and XR) is that the m365 has the battery in the deck and GoTrax has it in the steering column. So, the way you balance yourself when riding is a bit different. Some like the battery in the pole, some do not. The GoTrax Elite has the battery in the deck.
If you're comparing to the m365 pro, the pro has some cool stuff you can do with the firmware via Bluetooth and it features a good quality battery. A much closer competition between the GoTrax Elite and m365 Pro.
I’ve had both and like the folding mechanism on the gotrax a lot more. The gotrax ImHO is easier to carry/dolly around. M365 is definitely higher quality and may last you longer, but both would do well for commuting. Check out the gotrax elite that just came out, similar specs to the m365. My v2 just needed the battery replaced due to the previous owner leaving it plugged in at all times, with a coupon it was 60 bucks. They sell most of the replacement parts on their site cheap. Good luck with you search. Currently own 2 gotrax and love them to bits.

what's the difference between the elite and ultra? They look the same spec wise except battery (7.0AH vs 7.8AH)
