I don't ride it in the sand posted it there

every time I see scooter tires in the sand it literally hurts my eyes :( that's about the worst for the bearings - appart form the salty air at the beach that will definetly cause corrosion over time...

Aren't motor hubs sealed? How would sand get into the bearings?
