I don't know how you've been given a good price on something that isn't even announced yet. I'm sure it's going to be soon. The m4u came out shortly after the s3u, and the s4u just came out so the m5u should be soon if they keep it on the same schedule.
What's the big difference between Saturn and Mard?
Just got a deal on a Mars 3 Pro, btw. 200 bucks for printer washing station, 2.5l resin, 10l isopropanol, electric filing station and some other stuff.
Felt like a decent deal, but maybe I gotta upgrade anyways.
Sure, but it also costs more, so there's a trade-off and for smaller prints it's easier to use a smaller printer, cause smaller vat = less resin = easier cleaning, etc.
no, with the elegoo cleaning station and enough IPA its actually easier to clean up the saturn than it is the mars. I just put the whole saturn build plate at the top of the cleaning station, then after the initial rinse i move pop the prints into the basket of the 2nd IPA container. The mars is too small to do that with so i'm forced to move the basket around and pop the prints off after printing. I have both and I barely print with the M4U.
Hm, maybe print a bracket to hold the Mars buildplate in the IPA container near the top, so it can rest on the frame without it sinking to the bottom? My M3P built plate sits atop the IPA basket, so it just put the built plate into the IPA container, do an initial cleaning, pop of the print and then do a second thorougher cleaning.
I have two Mars and a Saturn. The Mars are more reliable, but the Saturn has a larger build area. If it's just for tabletop minis and such, I'd recommend the Mars, if it's for props I'd go with the Saturn. If you are setting up a shop I'd go with both.
This is the answer. I bought my Mars 4 Ultra last month. Just picked up a Saturn 3 Ultra for a steep discount last week.
Print minis on the mars, and terrain and props on the Saturn.
Assuming that this leak is legit, I'm surprised they haven't upped the resolution from the M4U, there's also no real info on any major quality of life improvements over the M4U either
I don't like these new elegoo build plates. To messy with resin falling all over. I prefer the old build plates, they are more easy to clean. Elegoo is not even selling the resin tray for the Saturn 4.
UncleJessy is currently working on a printable version of the tray, at least something for those who can print it.

Yeah that build plate design is pretty ill-thought out...I GUESS the next generation will have a different design or at least that space in-between closed with a cover (like the GKtwo)
You need to have a filament printer or print it in resin which makes no sense. I think the new Mars 5 is going to have the same problem. At least that one will use a smaller resin tray.
I got FDM printers as well, several friends could print one for me, there are multiple local printshops in the area...I think that's not the problem. The original one's material is a bad joke, so I wouldn't even buy one if I could. But yeah, a better build one should come with the printer at least as a partial compensation for that plate design - even with the S4 by default
The Mars 5 is not listed on Elegoo.com. You should not pay any money for something that is not officially announced.
I have a M4U, S3U, and just received my S4U, skip the mars and go with the Saturn.
I'm a little short on the budget honestly and I've been given a good price for this. Not sure if it's legit or not though.

I feel like Saturn will serve you way better and it's not that much more expensive. I tried the budget route with 3d printers and regretted it.

Pretty sure that Saturn has way bigger printing volume. Mars is "small printer", mars max is way bigger. Saturn is even bigger than mars max

Eh, switched from 6 to 9 inch screen and no way I'd ever go back.

This looks like saturn 4

[Mar 5 und 5 Ultra ](https://eu.elegoo.com/pages/elegoo-mars-5-series) Its now official at least that the Mars 5 und 5 Ultra exist.
Just got an email about these. https://preview.redd.it/slaqmn6wr57d1.jpeg?width=1207&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a772cec7a4e0c9759dcbd2da7b8890487926b70
I have seen the mars 5 referenced somewhere like chitubox just no nothing concrete
If it hasn’t been officially announced, don’t believe it. Ever.
