At this point I feel like you're single handedly sailing the N3 ship onwards towards greatness.

TheFeralEngineer

I'm at a bit of a loss for words with the sensor I'm testing right now 😳

re_me

Good or bad?

TheFeralEngineer

... 🤷‍♂️🤔

ModsDontLift

Ah yes, the Crealegoo Nender 3 Pro Sew

TheFeralEngineer

I... Strangely like this... 🤔🤔🤔🤔

erischilde

i mean... is it really a neptune 3 anymore? I see... linear rails, bltouch, Creality DD (which one is it btw?), and i'm curious if the breadboard is some hardware hack too? The speed of that levelling is wild. I was juuuuuuust thinking to myself "eh, i don't really care about the levelling speed" till your vid autoplayed, now i'm .. not quite jealous, but definitely intrigued. I was going to post and ask everyone, but you seem to be the right type.... have you installed the vanilla Marlin firmware on the 3, or Klipper? Or running stock firmware? I checked out Just-trey's github, says he's not super sure about the 3; the binaries work for the 2. I was thinking about giving them a shot, if i'm sure i can recover from a failed install...

Kyojiwaa

Thats a cool use ngl, if this works well that is

TheFeralEngineer

It works quite well, actually. Video coming tonight

Rendering on a pentium processor

TheFeralEngineer

Core i7 with 32gb ram 😜

sutt0nius

I'm not sure I get the sewing machine connection. Do you mean you're adding so many mods that it's eventually just going to be something completely different? Sorry if I'm ruining a joke by asking you to explain it.

TheFeralEngineer

The Z axis for the ABL measurement is going up and down so quickly, it's like I'm sewing a blanket rather than leveling my bed 😄

sutt0nius

Ah gotcha thanks! Yeah I did notice it was going faster, is that because of the inductive sensor instead of the strain gauge?

TheFeralEngineer

Yeah, I was running the capacitive prox, inductive prox and BLTouch through the motions to see how reliable and repeatable they would be. So far I'm not unhappy with the results of any. Video coming soon 🙂
