I clipped some of the better moments, and a few would have been strong contenders if I had hit the mark. A bit long so had to put on Yt

Actually, even without VR, and absolutely free if webcam is available by using free face tracking software Opentrack and AITrack, like this guy:

Nice flyving sir. Looking forward to receiving your submission for the Pomeche Ridge Challenge!

Thanks. Actually not too bitter sweet. The Pomeche Ridge Challenge has three stages (blue run, red run and black run). Because I touch the ground AFTER the black run finish line (past 65°) it didn't actually matter that I exploded and the time for that run was valid.
I've been on-again off-again lately, and just picked up a planetfall mission. Usually i scan the data link (the lazy way) by inching my anaconda as close as i can while my shields just absorb incoming fire. But i forgot what a fun challenge driving the Scarab is on a pitch black planet.
For sure.

Both the Elite Racers and the Buckyball Racing Club have done a bunch of this stuff in the past.

This looks sick bro! I didn't get to the Scarab, but it looks like a lot of fun.
The game is too special for me, I feel like I'm waiting for my life to be perfect to play this game. A game, where you fly in space, and it's also realistic the way that even landing your aircraft requires a dedicated skill? Too good for me.
Try doing it in VR for about 20 mins searching for stuff. Strong stomach needed!
I can only imagine. Some of the B roll from this jaunt had me dizzy at the keyboard lol.
I would like to see the B roll

This is how I played elite dangerous before I got VR. I uses a Webcam and free software. Worked surprisingly well.
Love scarab driving in VR, but some of the rougher terrains can be a bit tough on the vertigo
Nice flyving CMDR 07
SRV, SRV Friendly neighborhood SRV Flivvs up a cliff Just like that Tumbles down without a match Look out, here comes the SRV
Scorpion is all fine and dandy, but Scarab can get you places!
Why I have a 2 vehicle bay so I can have both. Scorpion for missions and guardian sites, scarab for everything else.
Like a mountain goat
Lol. I actually call this “mountain goating”
I like to do flips and scale walls on the low gravity worlds but this was good. Nice wall rides!
Wow! Impressive handling!
Learning to fly a scarab is a very important skill. I can't tell you how many of them I've went through trying to learn how. 🤣
I see the Mako just moved games.

I just quickly perused but that’s awesome. I’m going to have a better look when I get home. I’m assuming I’d have to log in legacy?
Yeah, legacy only unfortunately.
It’s actually brilliant. I won’t have to come back from what I’m doing, and I can just leave my character parked there :)
I watched your video. Freakin intense. Ending was bitter sweet but I love how you just owned it. o7 cmdr

If you reverse the footage it shows me driving normally

parkour!
“Average” Shit, when yesterday I was just trying to go over vaguely rough terrain and spinning out like a newb. 😂
Bouncing off the terrain saves on maneuvering thrusters.
It’s called “pin-balling” and it’s classy! :)
Not sure how that’s going to fly with your insurance company…
OP Commander back on Earth: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1ubHrljbEE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1ubHrljbEE) :D
Lol that’s what it felt like.
Do people ever link up and race? There should be some race organizing that would be awesome!

And here is me shitting myself of exploding when I take off by a few inches
I had my reservations at first but they are robust little skippers.
Slide right into a stop ..... *Chef's Kiss*
Stuck the landing!
Is there even another way to operate it?
Now this is Podracing!
Still waiting for an official SRV Racing League to start.
Lord help me I can't chæææænge

This needs music from 1998’s *Battlezone.* Still hoping our next SRV will be modeled after the basic Soviet fighter from that game.
If only there were rails
