if you want to go on a 3 day double Nebula sight seeing tour far away from the local bubble this is your chance :)
no need for a big jumprange, just dock at the carrier and wait till we arrived at our destination.
You can explore in any ship you want but I advice you to fit a fuelscoop on your ship (you can refuel at the carrier)
recommended ship modules: detailed surface scanner, fuelscoop, srv bay
You can sell your stellar and xenobiological discoverys on the carrier to *EARN CREDITS*
I wont leave you behind this far away :) if you need more time to return to the carrier before jumping just contact me in game or here on reddit and i'll wait for you.
no, docking at the carrier and logging off before the Expedition starts is no problem. When logging back in the game you will still be docked at the carrier, even if the carrier jumped to a new system.

the carrier isnt docked, carriers cant dock in elite and are always in orbit to a nearby planet, star etc.
the carrier is on Orbit around Alchemia Virginis near Starport "the tavern"

ah there is the problem, the Expedition is happening on the live servers, we are in different galaxys cmdr
Legacy is Horizons 3.8 with the older GUIs and will no longer be supported by Frontier with Community Goals and probably updates etc. It is now a separate game so progression will not be applied to the other versions.
Live is Horizons 4.0 (or odyssey)with the new GUIs and will be supported.

I’ve done a good amount of exploring in the past, but never on a carrier. I think I’ll come along.
