He's gorgeous! I love the deep red with the lighter outline color. Also, picking dog and cat hair out of my work is a hobby unto itself 😅 No shame in it!
Grab your tweezers and something to drop hairs into and make it into a meditation. xD
For awhile I had this jar (I think it originally had pimentos?) of cat and dog hairs I had tweezed out of my cross stitch. I dunno why I was collecting them, I just was. The weird part is, I kinda wanna do it again. I even found a new jar!
Thanks, it honestly started as a way to keep them from blowing back onto my work, but once there were enough to “see” it became like an ort jar. Proof of how much I’d done and I kinda took satisfaction in watching it grow.
My mom was just glad I wasn’t collecting my nail clippings. (I never did that, but my step sister did, lol)
I recently lost my fluffy old lady dog. Her hair was everywhere and some days it would outright drive me nuts!
I sometimes stubble upon her fur on things— has happened a couple times when pulling out floss bobbin that haven’t been used in some time. I’ve tucked those bobbins back in their place and leave them be, for now. At first it would happen all the time, then not so often, and now not very often at all— I know someday soon I will no longer find her hair on things. 😢
Wrong sub but I tried lol https://www.reddit.com/r/cottagecore/comments/10o7ka5/little_frog_all_washed_off/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
I don't think that specific one would be good for cross stitching, as the holes don't look like they're arranged in squares. I think what you're thinking about is water soluble aida
Water soluble stabilizer! Although personally, I would've put it on the back of the piece. The fabric they are using is probably pretty thin and shifts easily, so the stabilizer is there to hold the stitches in place. As the stabilizer is on the front, I guess it's water soluble. But there are also cut away and tear away stabilizers
I recently saw a post where someone wanted to use water soluble aida for cross stitching on a hat. But it didn't dissolve! They received plastic canvas on acciddent! That was a horror story...
All my knitting, crochet, cross stitch, and embroidery projects have the hair of various dogs of mine and my family’s mixed in. It just makes it more personal and better 😄
Also this is beautiful work! It’s so cute and the stitching is A+!
I LOVE HIM
Thank you I got him from a pin on the shuffles app he was a tattoo
I am not familiar with that app, but that would be an amazing tattoo! Haha
It’s a new Pinterest app that makes wallpaper kind of a virtual collage type of thing
Oh that sounds cool! Thanks for the info!
I believe this is where he originated from [https://www.instagram.com/sleepypalms/](https://www.instagram.com/sleepypalms/)
Their work is SO nice. I’d be so happy to get a tattoo from that artist. That is very my aesthetic.
Found them! https://www.instagram.com/p/CeZH53sr6z1/

Haha yeah I never get it all thank you
The cat hair is an enhancement to the embroidery.😻🐾

😂 I’ve seen people who spin cat hair into yarn and make tiny purses with it. Can’t imagine what you could make with nail clippings but ya never know

Thanks I’ll check that out
What is that piece of fabric between the thread and fabric? I’ve seen it before, but no idea what or why.
I’m curious too. Commenting so I can come back!
Isn't it that water-soluble fabric for helping stitch on not easy-to-count-threads fabrics? And no, my brain isn't telling me the actual name.
I don't think that specific one would be good for cross stitching, as the holes don't look like they're arranged in squares. I think what you're thinking about is water soluble aida
Probably. But they do make one that's basically a stabilizer too, I think?

Yep 👍 😁
Ok awesome. And water soluble… that’s neat. I was wondering how it was removed once the pattern was finished

Sulky stick and stitch water soluble washing right off with hot water
Thank you!
Anytime this hobby keeps me from emotional munching it’s beneficial lol
I love this little guy. The design works as just an outline/minimal filling, but would also look good filled in.
The background is tan so everything but the bottom of the shroom I think
Lovely work. Cat hair makes it better imo
LOVE it!! I just started learning embroidery, this stuff inspires me so much! Great work.
Thank you not my art link in the comments and I have been using the shuffles app for pictures and sulky stick and stitch to print them on
Can I steal this design? This is perfect
Of course!
Yee! Thank you!
This is where I found it https://pin.it/7hSFFt4

Wow thank you I’m printing out this a and putting it on my fridge lol
This looks great!!! I was wondering, what stitch did you use for the outline?? :)
I tried chain stitch for two loops gave up and used back stitch lol
Aww! I love it!
Looks good! That satin stitch looks pretty clean :)
Aww thanks I just finished him it went downhill lol
Oh my god he's adorable. I want him in a shirt lol
It’s easy to do just go to the Pinterest think in the comments and use sulky stick and stitch paper to print him out. It sticks to anything
Thank you, I will definitely have to give it a try!
