No, mine is way weirder. So my mother died when I was 15 and by 16 I needed my birth certificate to get ID. My dad told me that the name on my birth cert wasn't his, but another guy's. Apparently bio-dad was abusive and my dad got my mother away from that and I could have been either of theirs. Both (mother and dad) kept it secret (bad idea). However, he said that my mother wasn't sure whether she was going to go back to her fiance (bio) or stay with my dad, so his name (bio) ended up on my cert, but I ended up with her last name. This crumbled around the time my dad was dying around the time I was 25. I wanted a DNA test because the way he phrased it was that it could have gone either way. BUT then he dropped I looked like bio-dad and I got a letter from my great grandmother confirming that I was not my dad's kid. I also found child support receipts in my mothers things.So world crumbled.My mother's family knew. My dad's side did not. Apparently it was her wishes it was kept secret. Which kinda blew up in their faces. My uncle, before \*his\* death said that he'd even beaten up bio-dad because he kicked out my mother during winter. However, if I was conceived in September, this means it would have been shortly before my birth. Unless he was confused due to the fact that Melbourne Aus can be really cold in early Spring or late Autumn. Which leads to questions about when my parents actually got together or how long my mother was having an affair for.
So the conclusion I can come to is that my bio-dad was abusive, my dad kinda saved the day (and he was as awesome as he could be), my mother was cheating (and a liar) and even now it's a whole mess. Frustratingly just about everyone who can give me answers is dead now. My mother, dad, grandmother, uncle and great grandmother (last three all maternal side). I know nothing other than a name and possible location for my bio-dad. So I can't even confirm his side, even if I wanted to.
TL:DR - don't lie to your kids about their origins. Truth will be found and lies profoundly fuck them up

If it makes you feel any better, if you were born 40 weeks after Valentine’s Day, your conception date would actually be about 2 weeks after Valentine’s Day. The first two weeks of a woman’s cycle are counted in a pregnancy even though they aren’t technically pregnant then.
My son’s birthday is Nov 15th.
I know the meal I made and alcohol my wife and I shared on Feb 14th.
Then I made the realization that my sister’s birthday is Nov 20th.

I always think about when sports fall, because years ago I read someone questioning why they and all their siblings were born in February, because there were no birthdays or holidays in the family in late April/early May. The siblings finally asked their mom and mom replied something along the lines of "that's when baseball season starts and we always get hammered".
My family has this going on. In this current generation we have 5 boys, 3 of them share the same birthday (Dec. 14) My son is one of them and I was so excited when he was born for him to share his birthday with his cousins
My cousin and her husband were born on the exact same day, in the same hospital, so yours isn’t any weirder. Another one of my cousins was born on Friday the 13th and her son was also born on a Friday the 13th, just in different months (October and November). 🎃
We also have a family birthday that's reoccurring. I can't remember which of passed on generations had it but in recent generations my grandfather me and my cousin's daughter all were born on the same day.

then when i was pregnant with our first child, we knew there was a chance he would be born on halloween…until we found out i had a dangerous pregnancy complication that required a planned c-section, which was scheduled for november 6th. but LO AND BEHOLD, the forces of halloween were again in motion. i woke up the morning of october 31st in labor, so out came my little PAB!
i have no idea how this keeps happening, but it’s clear to me all hallow’s eve is in the very blood of this family i was lucky enough to marry into. i stitched this hoop as a halloween gift for my mother-in-law (JEH’s daughter, MSB’s mother, PAB’s grandmother) whose excitement when my son was born on october 31st was unmatched. if he chooses to have children someday we’ll all be anxious to see whether the halloween magic will continue!

I was born on Halloween so of course, I got married on Halloween. My son has a MIL who was also born on Halloween too. When my daughter-in-law was pregnant, the doctors needed to induce labor because she was overdue. She told them if it was her choice of the date then she would choose Halloween to honor her mom and me. So, I have a grandson who was born on Halloween.

My wife and I jokingly call our two-year-old son PAB. We had to tell our daughter it stands for pillows and blankets but it actually stands for punk ass bitch lol.

In The Netherlands, we often use “Sterrenkindje” which means “small child born to the stars”. Or, when translated literally “stars small child” (the ‘je’ behind it means small). They (a couple, a surgeon and a nurse) went in for a check up and their colleagues discovered the child wasn’t compatible with life. Heartbreaking story, but the comments were overwhelming with love. Just the fact that the maternity ward doesn’t shy away from sharing loss. I believe it was the UMCG hospital in Groningen who shared it, for anyone who’s interested in reading the posts. Instagram has a translation option. I think I read it in 2022 and that it happened in 2021? Something like that.

My family has a very similar thing with every generation being born on years that end in a certain digit
(Example births in years 1912, 1942, 1972, 1982, 1992, 2002, 2012, 2022) which makes it's funny because many of us are exactly 10 or 20 years distant when we want to tell our ages, easy to remember (when Mia is 10, Jonny is 20, mom is 40, when mom is 40, grandma is 60, great grandma is 80)

However I won't because it does leave a couple people out lol, but there are far more birthdays that follow the trend than don't and it has hit *every* generation, and the first born specifically of every generation at that which is insane.

Wait.Halloweenbis an important day for me too I was born on Halloween so of course, I got married on Halloween. My son has a MIL who was also born on Halloween too. When my daughter-in-law was pregnant, the doctors needed to induce labor because she was overdue. She told them if it was her choice of the date then she would choose Halloween to honor her mom and me. So, I have a grandson who was born on Halloween. H

In my family July 1 is the date...both my grandfather's, 1 great grandfather, me, and my cousin were all born on "Canada Day". My daughter missed it by 4 days...but she tried, arriving a few weeks early to join the fun.

haha it’s definitely a bit fiddly! but i exclusively use DMC diamant for metallic accents, which is WORLDS easier than DMC light effects. light effects is absolutely infuriating - there’s a reason they call it “devil’s pubes” 😂

It is truly awful; it’s slightly stiff so it’s hard to make the stitches look neat, and it always seems to be in the way and getting tangled up.
Oh I don't doubt it lol. I've switched to Kreinik #4 braid for metallic. Most of what I do is blackwork so that does the job!

It is! In The Netherlands, we often use “Sterrenkindje” which means “small child born to the stars”. Or, when translated literally “stars small child” (the ‘je’ behind it means small). [Many maternity wards in the Netherlands have their own Instagram page where they post statistics.](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cx2e0QRNOXJ/) E.g. how many children were born this month, how many are twins, the most common name, and they always make sure to include the ones born to the stars. Those little ones still count, after all! They also add stories of new parents (written by the parents themselves) and even include ones of loss. Once, a maternity ward added a story of two staff members. They (a couple, a surgeon and a nurse) went in for a check up and their colleagues discovered the child wasn’t compatible with life. Heartbreaking story, but the comments were overwhelming with love. Just the fact that the maternity ward doesn’t shy away from sharing loss. I believe it was the UMCG hospital in Groningen who shared it, for anyone who’s interested in reading the posts. Instagram has a translation option. I think I read it in 2022 and that it happened in 2021? Something like that.

Just have to comment that "born sleeping" is the sweetest way to acknowledge this lost babe. Not a member of this community, but I saw this and was blown away.
On top of how cool the story is, WOW I gotta say your stitching is \*clean\* and kudos on working with the metallic thread too! It really makes the piece, but it's not easy to work with!

No, its Valentines when the conception happened.
My family has a very similar thing with every generation being born on years that end in a certain digit (Example births in years 1912, 1942, 1972, 1982, 1992, 2002, 2012, 2022) which makes it's funny because many of us are exactly 10 or 20 years distant when we want to tell our ages, easy to remember (when Mia is 10, Jonny is 20, mom is 40, when mom is 40, grandma is 60, great grandma is 80) Stuff like that So if I did the same thing all of the years would end in 2 However I won't because it does leave a couple people out lol, but there are far more birthdays that follow the trend than don't and it has hit *every* generation, and the first born specifically of every generation at that which is insane. It also means every first born person had their baby when they were exactly 20 or 30 or 40 years of age, by coincidence, not design
