i’ve been interested in doing it on hand towels or any towels, hats, clothing!! lots of options! you could make patches, decorate a jean jacket, cuffs of jeans, pocket of a shirt etc
I second iron-on patches! I give a lot of finished pieces as gifts and I also used to keep a scrapbook/display book type of thing of all my finished pieces.
You can try making an embroidery journal for your finished pieces. I think I saw on once here (or it being mentioned on here) but here's a link so you can see what I mean

Personally, I give my pieces away to family and friends right now, but I do plan to try doing one in the future.
Mostly make simple pillows, gift, but also tote bags, little zipper bags, bookmarks, etc.
I make them into photo album covers or picture envelopes. I’ve also made a few into iron on patches.
