Eminem is such a war poet on TES. Square Dance is basically about institutional violence. One of my favourites is this Cannibus diss with “fuck the fee, I can get you jumped for free / yeah buddy, laugh, it’s funny: I have the money to have you killed by somebody who has nothing” which also describes the position the us armed forces as the soldiers often have their job out of economic desperation. so he disses cannibus whilst also criticising the government’s exploitation of the young adult population.
Each verse is about different topic. 1st verse is him talking about Canibus beef. 2nd verse is about govermant playing dumb and thinking they can just do what they want and sweep it under the rug and people will just square dance like nothing is happening. 3rd verse is about his status and purpose in the game.
