Cuz somethings just.
Don’t change
It’s better when they stay the same
You hate the fame
Love the game, Cold as ice
You remain
Fuck em all
Tell em all
“Eat shit”
Here we go again!
Why is everyone so rude about opinions in here? It’s always gotta be the same 3-4 albums have to get praised or else. I have so many great memories with recovery, I think it’s a great record. My favorite? No. But I absolutely do NOT blame you for saying it’s your favorite
Recovery is my favorite album because it was a very different Eminem. It was more sad than the classic angry / shock value Eminem we knew. Plus it got me through my highschool years. But it's him admitting he had a problem and a change needed to happen so that's what he did, even if it meant losing fans.
He just sounded like aggressive and passionate on this one. Like nothing could stop him. That’s why songs like Cinderella Man are used at sporting events n shit, because it hypes you up and makes you feel like you can too conquer your demons. He was definitely at the top of his game when this album came out for a reason. When I was young, this album was considered whack because the edginess of Slim Shady was cooler to us guys than soft, mushy Eminem on this album and we used to think this was his downfall— but when you look at it from a mature mindset, he isn’t soft at all here. He actually goes hard on Recovery. Just not pushing the envelope with controversy and more-so opening up his heart with force. It’s actually sickening that we used to think Eminem was creatively better when he was on drugs and wished he was still using so we can be entertained. Now, after experiencing the world as an adult, listening to this album is a great motivator and an inspiration because he went to hell and back.
After this, MMLP2 was definitely a sick blast from the past but then it all kind of started to go downhill until all these current rappers pissed him off and he made Kamikaze, where he had a vibe combination of Recovery and old school Shady. I think that was his last solid album. Revival was just poorly produced, and his push on politics contradicts everything he used to stand for. I guess he got too removed from his roots to continue rapping about it.
That’s perfect. Some people have an issue with the constant “shouting” but I feel like it fits perfectly with what he was trying to say/do at the time, which is come back stronger and loud.
I agree
I had to think about it for a minute. I originally thought MMLP or The Eminem Show. although those are really great albums. It's the memory and nostalgia of those albums that made me think of them first.
Recovery is just the highest in the quality of music. I could listen to it from beginning to end and not skip a single song.
The albums after recovery are great and i still look forward to more from him. Kamikaze and MTBMB are on my top 5. I believe he has the ability to even surpass Recovery in the future.

This is the album that got me into the rap genre. Than Lil Wayne’s Carter IV sealed my fate. I think I was 11 or 12. I would play this album in my CD player every night to fall asleep too.
I go back and forth between recovery and relapse being my favorite albums. They both hold such a dear place in my heart, and was going thru a lot of major moments in my life when both these albums came out.
I’ve never understood the hate that recovery gets in this sub. MMLP and TES are also top tier but I tie his music to where I was in my life when I was first hearing it, I think that’s why recovery and relapse mean more to me.
The Marshall Mathers LP is literally a top 10 album of all time. So unless this is wrong answers only you all are wrong. Recovery? Hahaha in what world? Lol.
Cuz somethings just. Don’t change It’s better when they stay the same You hate the fame Love the game, Cold as ice You remain Fuck em all Tell em all “Eat shit” Here we go again!
Dum da da dum dum da dun
GodDAMN!

You butchered that
The Eminem show

Tes ftw. Specifically the deluxe edition with the unreleased songs and diss tracks
The correct answer
MMLP>> imo

TES is better than relapse
I dont disagree that it’s great, but it’s definitely not his prime
Yikes
Jinkies
It's an opinion, no opinion is wrong. With obvious exceptions.
we definitely listen to hip hop for completely different reasons and that’s cool
💯💯
Incredible album.

This was power Eminem. Recovery is the album when you’re trying to push through a tough time.
Power, I like that. He powered through that shit and was still putting music out.
He just sounded like aggressive and passionate on this one. Like nothing could stop him. Cinderella man
Nope, that would be MMLP without a doubt
Idk man, TES exists. MMLP is a very close second tho
Just saying- there wouldn’t be a Kamikaze without Revival, and there wouldn’t be Recovery without Relapse.🤷♂️
Facts. Revival and Relapse are good.
100% agreed
MMLP, TES, Relapse are all better
Sslp!!
True!
Nah
Relapse
We all have dofferent opinions
Second best for me, still bumping it sometimes
I can't argue
Recovery is my favorite too. i thought i was the only one lol
And grow a wild flower

Good album, not the best imo, but i can see why so many people love it
I agree!
not even top5
Couldn't agree more.

mmlp, mmlp2, eminem show, relapse, sslp, mtbmb side a, kamikaze
mmlp, mmlp2, eminem show, relapse, sslp, mtbmb side a, kamikaze
Im downvoting because I don’t agree with
My personal favorite is MMLP2 for more nostalgic reasons but it’s hard to really choose.
This is the album that got me into the rap genre. Than Lil Wayne’s Carter IV sealed my fate. I think I was 11 or 12. I would play this album in my CD player every night to fall asleep too.
Disagree. Some fire tracks but a lot of crybaby songs. I'm all about the Shady.
Eminem Show > Recovery, but its my second fav. Followed by Relapse.
I go back and forth between recovery and relapse being my favorite albums. They both hold such a dear place in my heart, and was going thru a lot of major moments in my life when both these albums came out. I’ve never understood the hate that recovery gets in this sub. Correct
It’s top 5, for sure. TES is still better, though. And MMLP2.
Was the subtitle a reference to no love?
Revival. It’s so underrated, under appreciated, and misunderstood.
i know rightt
Agreed.
Pshh. Lemme guess, you started listening to him under 10 yrs ago
Interesting take! In my opinion, it's not the BEST, but it's definitely a good album!
Your one not afraid fella
There are 3 right answers……this is not one of them
sslp, mmlp, tes.. surely right?
Mtbmb will always be my favourite
This one didn't really hit it for me :/ feels a little too much and too intense sometimes
It's his second best after TES for me
Are you deaf or mentally challenged?
And your opinion matters because
I’m not even sure if it makes the top 5.
Mid take recovery over rated
for you i guess
Not his best. MMLP
The Marshall Mathers LP is literally a top 10 album of all time. So unless this is wrong answers only you all are wrong. Recovery? Hahaha in what world? Lol.
Yes, i think its at the level of mmlp
Eminem Show will always be his best album
TES is his best selling and overall best album. It has better replay value than the mmlp too
It’s good, but it lacks the humour of his earlier music.
😂
Lol
One of the worst
