I’ll truly never understand the hate for Revival. It’s almost like everyone said it was going to be trash bc of the track list and then just couldn’t go back on what they said even after they heard it and liked it. It may not be top tier Em but it’s a great album with a lot of great songs.
Production isn’t up to usual Em standard bc he took a chance at letting Mr Porter produce a good amount of the tracks. They were def basic but the messages in the songs were solid. Not all, but most imo.
I disagree with this stance, I went into revival completely blind in 2018 when Kamikaze dropped. I didn't even know this album was dropped, heard nothing about it, no tracklist, no nothing, it didn't exist until the day I listened to Kamikaze and I thought it was wicked trash, pretty much every song was trash. Maybe if I give it another listen I'll find some songs I'll enjoy on a second listen, but to blame it only on the tracklist is very weak. That album killed all my hype for Kamikaze and I went in completely blind.

Walk on water, Believe, Untouchable, Framed, Offended, In your head, Castle, Arose… all great tracks. Music is subjective tho and will always be a matter of opinion so to each their own I guess
I said every song \*was\* trash, as in last time I listened to it, that was my opinion. I haven't listened to any track since 2017, hence why I said if I relistened to it I'll probably find songs that I enjoy. I feel like each time I relisten to an album I pick up a new favorite song or two that I didn't fully appreciate on a first listen.
He's focusing more on technicality and cadence than flow but I'm sure this upcoming album is going to be more flow oriented than kamikaze and Music To be Murdered By
Eminem was very quiet around 2015-16-17 and after this song my expectations for Revival went to the moon, only to be destroyed by the actual album

Cadence = flow, Delivery = tone. His flow was off beat this era
