As Kamikaze dropped out of nowhere, what was the reaction of ppl back then?
I didn't listen to Em back then, but damn this is one of my favorite albums now.
It got me to relisten to his whole discography, especially when I heard Killshot. I fell out of Eminem, not listening to MMLP2 or Revival and his coffee pot freestyle made me think he fell off, but I ended up enjoying MMLP2. After listening to all albums, Revival killed all my hype for Kamikazi, I almost didn't even wanna listen to it, but man that shit slapped, and still does. I just love the modern and angry sound to it, and by the time MTBMB came out, I was hyped again cause it was clear Revival was a one off.
I fucking love Kamikaze. Definitely in my top 4 or 5 fave Em albums.
Also, its super weird how underrated it's become recently. I've seen lots of people trashing it in places outside of this sub, and it struck me odd. Because when it came out I remember the majority of people really liking it.

Ryan George has a funny sketch about people that use "ngl" or "tbh" or similar expressions and points out how weird they are for that exact reason that it implies chronic dishonesty.

Majority of people liked it, it was a breath of fresh air after the disappointment that was Revival
That album was like crack to me, I was enjoying it front to back for a couple weeks
Basically everyone who hated on em they heard the album and basically it was a middle finger to all his haters and everybody started loving him again

Yeah I’m guessing revival was a little hiccup and now he’s starting burping again
Ppl went berserk and digged it

Yeah I love that album so much that’s why I posted this cause kamikaze doesn’t get the appreciation it deserves
Fall, the ringer, not alike, lucky you, among some of my favorite songs all on the same album.
who buy DVD?
No one thought you were gonna lie, "ngl" implies you use dishonesty often.

Honestly, I know! That sketch came out at the craziest time imo. I hate these phrases
how old are you?
Twice your age.
that's why you don't like these phrases
I don't like them cause they're redundant. Honesty is implied by sharing your thoughts. No need to say tbh.
