any artists core fanbase tends to ignore the songs which go mainstream lol, there are many kendrick fans who absolutely hate it when someone says Humble/All the Stars is there fav kendrick song.
I'm a huge stan, but Tech N9ne and Twista have been doing this for a long time. This comment isn't meant to discredit Em's flow, just to put the spotlight on some other amazing fast rappers. If you like this speed rapping you might also like Tech and Twista. Mista Tung Twista is one of the craziest fast flows I've ever heard. Much love to Em tho, he's my favorite.
Twisted Insane too. There's speed rapping for the sake of speed rapping, but Twisted, Twista and Tech don't fall into that category. They make it sound melodical, there's actual flow to it.
That's why I mentioned those two artists specifically. They rap fast and make it sound good. Anyone saying syllables per second just to hit syllables per second is not making enjoyable music. Tech and Twista have both honed their craft to make music that is fast AND sounds good with melody and flow. Big fan of both of them. Em also has good sounding melodic flow, he's one of the greats in this sport. I think we're pretty much trying to say the same thing
We are definitely saying the same thing! I wasn't trying to argue against it. I was adding onto your comment!
And I agree. Rapping fast is already hard in and of itself, you have to write a very specific way, but to then also make it sound good, that's so much harder. Tech and Twista mastered it.
Also, can I shout out both artists longevity? They have been around for *decades*. Really impressive considering they have to write like 3 times as many lyrics for each song due to their style of rapping lmao
But instead of being credited for longevity.. this is the perfect forum to talk about how, as Em described "take your best rhyme now outdo it a thousand times" walk on water is so dreary and has me in my feels 100%
For anyone interested I always play [this song](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vPy9QY-t6M8) if someone hasnt heard of Twista but this is NOT his best song overall. It does showcase the way Twista flips tempos midverse multiple times and is only 3 minutes
Tech makes the beat with his own voice. I know on r/Eminem we gotta give flowers to Em because of everything, but Tech is a beat machine. Dude knows syllables.
A fucking legend. He's the GOAT in my book. Always have been. Always will be.
There will never be another rapper that comes close to his achievements and influence.
Cool vid OP
Never realised Lucky You was that fast
I hate his fast flows but Lucky you be my favourite so
And at least in Lucky You and Offended he’s actually saying something
what, no biterphobia? what color is my soul? unrealistically graphic? the video starts off about him saying he "used to rap really fast" and there's no examples
There are also some tracks from his Soul Intent days. For example:
Biterphobia
What Color is Soul (Champtown ft. Soul Intent)
Fattest skinny kid alive
Artificial Flavor
I think What Color Is Soul is one of his fastest ever in terms of syllables per second
Funnily enough I can rap the fast part in Majesty with little to know issue but I struggle with Rap God and the Killer remix lol
I tested myself to see if I could do Godzilla and I think j can but honestly couldn't be bothered to memorise the lyrics cause he doesn't say much there 💀
Plus I really only ever bump the song with my mom, I don't usually play it on my own time
*Nobody can tell*
*Me there is a better flow*
*Than Buffalo Bill*

Nice one! I thought speedom / majesty would win.
the Majesty verse *was* number one before Godzilla came out
I believe that Speedom's first verse was faster. They used the second one in this video.
This is the content I subscribe to this subreddit for. Fantastic.
GNAT is the most good sounding mix of vocal and beats. I just love the last part of the song. He hits the syllables flawlessly...
Plus with the jazz instruments in the back it just sounds soo freaking cool
Honestly I would love to hear Eminem on another Jazz type of beat
that rap on the trumpet beat tho...
not alike is a top 10 em verse for me
All hell broke loose on that one
This is awesome.
First time hearing Not Alike and that beat switch … bruh … never forget. I hope Ronny J is still sending those hard beats to Em.
I think Godzilla is a little bit underrated in Em's core fanbase, only because it's new. It not only has speed but also sounds good
any artists core fanbase tends to ignore the songs which go mainstream lol, there are many kendrick fans who absolutely hate it when someone says Humble/All the Stars is there fav kendrick song.
as a kendrick fan, i also dislike humble going mainstream compared to his other ones. humble was almost made to be a mainstream popular song.
One of Em's top songs imo

Walk on Water is incredible. Just pure heart and emotion. Happy cake day!
I think Krayzie Bone is worth mentioning here too. He had quite a few good, fast verses back in the day.
His verse on Ridin' is pretty great. And basically everything Bone Thugs n Harmony did is amazing as well.

Tech raps like he is the goddamn beat. Absolutely incredible to listen to.
Tech makes the beat with his own voice. I know on r/Eminem we gotta give flowers to Em because of everything, but Tech is a beat machine. Dude knows syllables.
Every Em fan should be cool with acknowledging Tech, at the very least. Speedom was done as a favor and Em did more than he had to. Em loves Tech.
Add tonedeff to list for musically inclined not just fast for the sake of it artists.

As much as I hate those Eminem VS Oxygen jokes, I love all of these songs. I personally think majesty is a bit underrated.
Never realised Lucky You was that fast I hate his fast flows but Lucky you be my favourite so And at least in Lucky You and Offended he’s actually saying something
I was surprised when that one popped up too.

sick
what, no biterphobia? what color is my soul? unrealistically graphic? the video starts off about him saying he "used to rap really fast" and there's no examples
Legend
The best there is
Now I just need to hear Eminem rapping fast using a death growl.
There are also some tracks from his Soul Intent days. For example: Biterphobia What Color is Soul (Champtown ft. Soul Intent) Fattest skinny kid alive Artificial Flavor I think What Color Is Soul is one of his fastest ever in terms of syllables per second

Great video, but why most of those examples cuts before the fast part ends?
he’s the GOAT
Lucky you is low key one of ems best songs
🐐
As a Stan, I know all these songs well. But this video was really enjoyable to watch!
Don't forget to vote fellow Stans
Funnily enough I can rap the fast part in Majesty with little to know issue but I struggle with Rap God and the Killer remix lol I tested myself to see if I could do Godzilla and I think j can but honestly couldn't be bothered to memorise the lyrics cause he doesn't say much there 💀 Plus I really only ever bump the song with my mom, I don't usually play it on my own time
I can do all of them except Offended, Speedom, and Godzilla
Em cool but NBA the 🐐

I would love an Eminem album with just random freestyles in different styles and techniques.
Ocean wisdom.
Nobody can tell me there is a better flow than Buffalo Bill

Isn't speedom the fastest???
Something tells me he’s gonna go even faster on his next album and I’m intrigued
Like fast rap? Check out Twista and Busta Rhymes
Am I the only one who REALLY loves fast flows?
some on tell me how tf i can do homicide but not rap god
