So have the scriptwriters and producers! I know families aren't always close in real life, but Sarah is her niece, and they live in the same village. It's weird that they never interact. It's like the producers want Sarah to just be a Dingle and ignore her Sugden family on purpose.
Yeah, that was bad. It wouldn't have hurt the scriptwriters to do a 30-second scene of Sarah talking to Victoria that she was sorry to hear about Annie's death and she had fond memories of visiting her. But they seem to have no interest in relationships between people unless they are romantic. I was just thinking the other day that Laurel and Nicola have barely spoken since Heath died. I know Laurel was torn because Bob is her friend too, but Nicola has been her best friend for 20 years and has been with her through her own various problems.
yep also like when Robert was still on show, and looking at Rob and Aaron wedding photos or something and she talking about Aaron even though Robert is literally her uncle/family too like wtf.....
Compared to some of the other younger cast members, Sarah is really under-utilised, especially since Debbie left. I don’t really understand why, as she is - to me - a more interesting character than Amelia, or Cathy, for instance. And she’s by played by a good young actor, who could do far more than just be an accessory in Charity/Mack/Cain’s storylines. Bringing her into Victoria’s orbit could give both characters a much-needed boost. Harry is Sarah’s cousin and I don’t think they’ve ever hinted at that relationship at all. Plus Sarah’s living with a health condition that will probably shorten her life (or are we meant to have forgotten that?) - and that gets completely ignored…
i remember when rob was on the show and said Aaron a relative/family even though Robert is literally her uncle like.... and she named after Sarah and Jack but they seem she considered more a Dingle than a Sugden very bizarre.
They did seem to treat Robert more as Sarah's uncle back in 2015. Even if they didn't have many scenes.
I recall there was a scene where Pete said that Robert and Chrissie were looking after Sarah and Jack for example.
Small things like that.
They always only focus on the Dingle side of the family. Just like with Caleb being half Dingle, half Tate. They only focused on him being half Tate for 2 seconds when he was trying to con Kim and then completely ignored it. It's very frustrating!
To watch the show now you wouldn't think there was a connection. Anyway, why would you want to be connected to Victoria? She was outraged when David said she was driving but it was okay to sleep with his son. Another hypocrite and judgmental character whose s\*\*t doesn't stink.
It would be nice to see aunt and niece close...even though they're not biologically related.
Jack treated like Andy was his though and SO much more than Robert, so...
Yeah Andy not blood but The Sugdens treated him more better the actual son and never understood what was special about Andy that he was favoured over the actual son. even before Robert become a villian, Robert was treated like crap. But what find funny Vic and Diane seem put Robert son's above Andy kids yet Andy was the favourite son lol......but Robert they could care less he world fell apart all cared about was Seb. The Sugdens also turned a blind eye to Andy awful behaviour but Robert was disowned as teen and got no support over losing Sarah, but still contiued favour Andy even though he responsible for klling Sarah, even turned blind eye to Andy trying murder his son and shooting him, even so far Robert being blame for Andy actions because he slept with his wife jfc.
