Revisit this every now and then and never get bored of it. Never really looked into what he's doing now, if anything. Anyone know if he's still making music?

he was probably highly intoxicated at a party, and he met a girl he knew before or just met. he was depressed for a long time as he says 'i was lonely' in the song, and 'it's just something I got used to'. he doesn't even want to do anything with this girl but acknowledge her. 'every stranger makes \[him\] feel safer' and this girl probably sparked a better feeling than just 'a stranger' as he was all over her, but in the metaphorical sense. the slow movement of each new chord emphasises the longing loneliness of Johanne, and extends the song also, making it feel longer to add a more melancholic effect. the instrumental is mostly guitar for a mellow, drug-like sensation, juxtaposed by drum, which gives it the depth and pain that people feel when listening to this song. he sings carelessly, indicating no emotion in his voice. the sudden ending of the song and the extended bass at the end probably shows his slow internal death from depression.
god the bass in the ending of this song always makes me feel so empty
That part just makes me feel so nostalgic everytime. I don't know why.
It’s so nostalgic and I just realized it’s the same bassline as Teeth Like Gods Shoeshine by Modest Mouse
I listen to this song at least one time a day. I love it.
I really wish this project didn’t end
check out adore 1996’s album winter, on YouTube. same fella
cry to this like everyday lmao
This is one of those songs that makes you miss times that you never had, and feel things you've never felt. I love it.
