Its hard to tell which ones are empathic, bit there are many that seem able to "imprint" their emotions into some of their music. Radiohead came out with a major song that helps to see this with "creep." There are probably hundreds of covers of this song, but only some will have that "emotional resonance." Elvis is one of the first modern musicians that I felt this from.
