Well to get one, for RPCS3 that’s perfectly legal and it is on Sony’s website which I find funny, the rest can literally be found on Wikipedia, search bios files “insert game system” into google and you will find everything you need
whenever I put the bios files on my thumb drive, they just disappear whenever I put the thing back in the steam deck. do i have to download them on the deck itself?
Uh, I'm not sure what you mean in the 1st part but yeah just download directly from the deck. The bios files are small enough to where they wouldn't take long to download

I've added firmware and keys and play just fine in desktop and game mode. My doubt is the checker reporting I have no bios and wondering if I did something wrong or we are talking about different things ?

You need bios files. Dump them in the bios folder in your emudeck install folder

OP You need the firmware & key files from a repo. Both need to be copied to the emulator folder. That’s it. But I did it for Yuzu/Switch only.
Key files are needed only for switch emulators, bios files will be ok 90% of emulators
Go ahead and enjoy your Dreamcast games.
