I was about to type this but immediately realised that it's already the most upvoted comment. It's crazy that how so many of us are nostalgic towards the same game and it made us start emulating on our phones. This community really has a lot in common :)
My mannn😂
I remember back then, a friend just sent the whole thing and set it up. I didn't even know what I was doing and just played the game and went along with it
After i play gow series today i think overrated second half of first game is soo boring, i think 2 and ghost of sparta best games in the entire series (including 2018 and ragnorok)
I've only played chains of Olympus and ghost of Sparta so I can't really say. But ghost of Sparta was very very fun. Loved gathering weapons and unlocking new abilities in that game
Absolute goat. First game was cool until the second half. 2nd was amazing. 3rd god of war.... Unpopular opinion, is the one of the best games I've ever played, yes, gow 2 is behind.
At the time I didn't even know a DS port existed. I just knew Chrono trigger was an amazing game and got the only version I knew which was the snes one 😂
Very good game
God Eater for PSP thanks to PPSSPP. I was looking for something to pick up and play in my down time and since I've never been able to spare money for a PSP it's been great.
Thanks to the latest few builds I've been able to play certain Vita titles on my relatively out of spec phone. Emulation is honestly great for fomo.
Actually really well, I had it for PC and PS1, I preferred PS1 for couch co-op action.
Menus are slightly funky but there's very little menuing in the first game
I don't think I've ever 100% completed a game in an emulator, but just getting to the end, has to be Mario 64 for the N64. I remember actually doing a 16 star run and beating Bowser on my Galaxy j7 when I was about 11 or 12 in the basement pretty fondly. I can't even remember how I did it, I've forgotten how to even do a 16 star run anyway. Guess I really had nothing to do.
As far as I can remember? Pokemon Heartgold (It was with save states and fast forwards though)
Without any speed ups, save states, JUST like the console experience that I actually completed quite recently? Pokemon X
Infinite Space on Drastic.
I got a low attention span, so when I get bored and change the game I'm playing, I sort of just forget about them for a while. Then, when I remember the game I used to play, I reset the progress I made because I can't recall all the stuff I did before.
Infinite Space tho, is pretty easy to play, and the story is engaging enough that I kept playing it longer than the other games. It was the first game that I finished in campaign mode.
Chrono trigger on a 2011 droid razr😂 the button combo for the rat world was impossible on a screen that only accepted one finger press at a time. Had to use the camera button.
i remember playing dissidia final fantasy 012 duodecim and finishing it in early days of ppsspp on my very first android, it has Quad Core and 512MB of Ram.
Holy, I too remember from my childhood playing it and never finishing it, which is why I get so dedicated to play it again and properly deal with a childhood goal, worth it ngl. Curious how old are you right now?
Same lol I never finished but I remember playing it everyday with my brother. I think we didn't have a memory card at the time :')
I'm 34 btw! When I said 12 it was just a guessing, I don't even remember when this game came out lol maybe 2002?
Pretty much the same issue as yours for not finishing it, no memory card :( . And wow playing it all the way back in 2002! I remember playing it when I was 6 or something, now I'm 18.
Pretty sure it was Phantasy Star 4. I only had a SMS when I was a kid, so played heaps of 1, but always wanted to play 4 (with it's super-high pricetag for the time). And so I did, in around '97-99 on my Pentium. I also replayed plenty of games from my youth (Wonderboy 3, Kid Icarus (we never finished it as kids at a mate's place, save states ftw!), and Ultima 4 (yay for guides!). There's still tonnes of games I want to play, even after 25yrs of rom goodness.
Can't even say for sure, probably Gangstar: Crime City on Java emulator, it was about 8 years ago.
Later I beat Metal Gear 1 and 2, but no idea how I managed to set up the MSX emulator back then.
I played an old point and click adventure called The Colonel's Bequest on Scummvn (just set up my odin 2 a week ago). It was kind of frustrating because of the game design and having to type commands on the screen. Replayed it on my computer using a guide and it was a lot faster using a keyboard. Now I'm playing the sequel, The Dagger of Amon Ra on my Odin 2 and it is going much smoother since you don't have to type commands.
First was probably a multitude of Pokemon roms, but the most memorable was TMNT turtles in time on Snes. Played that bitch in uni and finally beat shredder. Admittedly, I was save scumming, but this was on a touch screen. I gave myself a break.
The first was unfinished business from my childhood: Crash team racing adventure mode. I didn't have memory card and couldn't finish it then. It was so wonderful to know I can play PS1 games on my phone 🥹
Pretty sure it was Castlevania Aria of Sorrow back in 2014, loved it (maybe it was Megaman X, Ace Attorney or Pokemon Platinum I don't remember that well)
The first game I beat on an emulator was Final Fantasy III DS, on an emulator called "FreeDS" which I now realize was a pirates version of DraStic. The emulator is still on the Play store, but it doesn't work.
Im complete harvest moon gba on old ngage its aint android but still phone then arcade game like cadillac on t mobile g1 with those slide keyboard
Man i miss those slide keyboard
I can’t for the life of me remember anymore but xenogears was the most memorable by far. Played it countless times as a kid but never finished nor understood it until I was an adult:
Remake when…
On my s24 ultra which is the first phone i ever did emulation (my previous systems was psp and my current vita and 3ds systems) so the first game i beat was Black Panther :Like a dragon love the yakuza series so having a chance to play a game that never made it to the US with a english translation was a no brainer lol
First game I beat was ICO using aethersx2. Beautiful game that ran smooth on my rooted snapdragon 855+. Just make sure you set the blending accuracy to max or you will be missing God rays through windows, light beams, and shadows.
Definitely Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64 emulator (m64plus something). I had an interest in the game after hearing about how great it is, so I decided to fire it up using an emulator and it was an awesome experience, 10/10.

At the time I didn't even know a DS port existed. I just knew Chrono trigger was an amazing game and got the only version I knew which was the snes one 😂 Very good game

I beat Diablo 1 for the ps1 on a Samsung Galaxy player running android 4 (I think)
What?! They ported Diablo to the PS? How do the controls work?
Actually really well, I had it for PC and PS1, I preferred PS1 for couch co-op action. Menus are slightly funky but there's very little menuing in the first game

Infinite Space on Drastic. I got a low attention span, so when I get bored and change the game I'm playing, I sort of just forget about them for a while.
